“I came here for a meal and was really impressed! I ordered the Beef Fried Rice and the Hunan-Style Fried Pork Slices, and both dishes tasted very authentic. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and just what I was hoping for. The service was friendly and the atmosphere felt welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a good Chinese meal. I’d definitely come back again !“

“Mixed bag. The fried pork (탕수육) was really good and came in a generous portion. But the jjajangmyeon (짜장면)—despite being pricier than other places—was no better, maybe even worse.
I would recommend this place for family event or meeting after golf or something“

“This place feels really warm and welcoming — you can tell the owner put a lot of heart into it. They start you off with milk tea and some small side dishes, the restaurant is very clean, and the service is super friendly. Definitely a 100/100 recommendation!“

“They make authentic Guilin rice noodles here. So you order the noodles through the QR code and you can get the condiments to add to the bowl. We had the Golden Broth Beef Brisket Rice Noodles and Premium Signature Noodles. Added a fried egg and Secret Recipe Braised Tofu. Quick service and would return.“

“Was hungry so went here for a quick bite. The line was ok waited about 5 minutes before I got seated. My server Joe helped me in recommending what was good to pick from the skewer bar. The beef quality was really good and the appetizers were nice too.“

“Pickled Fish: The fish is so tender that it melts in your mouth, the sauerkraut is crispy and appetizing, the soup base is sour and spicy but not choking at all, every bite is full of sincerity! I especially like the light numbing aroma, paired with hot rice, it is simply a healing tool in winter!
Guobao Pork: Under the golden and crispy skin is tender and juicy tenderloin. The ratio of sweet and sour sauce is just right. You can hear the "click" when you bite into it! The texture is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is definitely a textbook interpretation of Northeastern cuisine!
Home-style tofu: The tofu is fried until it is charred on the outside and tender on the inside. It absorbs the fragrance of the sauce and is smooth and tender in the mouth without losing the bean flavor. Paired with the crispness of fungus and green pepper, it is full of texture, simple but full of homey taste, and it is a perfect meal!
The three dishes in this restaurant each have their own merits. The taste is authentic and the portions are substantial. You will become a fan after eating it once! Highly recommended to friends who love food~“

“Food: 4*
Service: 5*
Ambiance: 3*
Stopped by here for dinner and we were not disappointed. All the food was fresh, tasty, and ample. We were a party of 8, so we ordered and good amount of food. Everything was great. The orange chicken was not as sweet as others and was really good.
Food break down:
The hot and sour soup was delicious, tasty and hit the spot.
The sliced fish in Szechwan sauce was fantastic. The fish was perfectly cooked and the heat was the right amount of spice and flavor.
The pork and cabbage dumplings were juicy and tender. I wished I ordered two orders of this.
The combination sautéed noodles was great as well. A good mix of pork, chicken, and seafood with a nice light sauce. Very tasty.
The pan seared green beans were delicious. Tender crisp with “the breath” of the wok which was slightly smokey. Always a favorite.
The combination fried rice was tasty and a good balance of flavors. For the rice lovers.
The braised eggplant was a surprise hit. Eggplant can be bland but this wasn’t. It had a nice blend of spice and flavor, and was a hit.
The beef with broccoli was delicious as well. Tasty and packed with tender crisp broccoli.
The service was great. The owner lady was attentive, helpful and gave good recommendations (sliced fish, hot and sour soup). The ambience was dated, but clean. No A/C made it hot while eating. All in all a great meal.“

“We go here for a quick & simple breakfast. The pick your own combo is a good deal: porridge + choice: lo mai gai (sticky lotus rice) + drink. The BBQ pork cheung fun is smooth with the right amount of chew and you can see it made to order through the glass sometimes. The staff are friendly and attentive while it does get busy on weekends and lunch rush. Joe the manger will check in to see how’s things are going which is rare in HK style restaurants but appreciated in any setting.“

“My son ordered from the big menu (not lunch special) to customized the taste to be a little bland with sauces on the sides. I am recovering from illness. William helped us a lot; what best dish to order and how it's cooked! He's very attentive to our order and did really great! He's very knowledgeable and worked with the cook to give us the best meal! My son was greatly impressed with the service, he said he like to go back.“

“Permanently Closed :(
I have been coming to this restaurant and their other locations for DECADES. I remember their old location in city of industry as well as a few other locations. I visit Happy Family frequently. They know my family and I, they have great service and great food.
Today my family and I came to enjoy our favorite vegetarian Chinese food only to find out that they are permanently closed :( They closed about 3 weeks ago according to the 99 Ranch employees.
Giving Happy Family 5 stars because they will forever be in our hearts 💔“

“Mian is a great spot if you love Chinese noodles. They offer a wide variety of noodle dishes from different regions of China, so you can really taste several styles in one place. It feels unique, modern, and the restaurant stays open late, which is probably why so many young people come here.
If you’re a noodle lover, this is definitely a fun and unique place to try. The prices are affordable, and the overall quality is solid. If you live in the Rowland Heights area, it’s worth stopping by at least once to check it out.“

“We had a group of 11 people dining here today, and it was everyone’s first time visiting this restaurant. From the portion sizes to the flavors, every dish received unanimous praise.
A special shoutout to Roger, our server, who was incredibly attentive and fun. He noticed every detail, kept refilling our water glasses, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Even though we stayed and chatted for quite a while, he remained friendly and thoughtful the entire time. It’s rare to experience such excellent service in a Chinese restaurant!
The chef also did a fantastic job—every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared.
We’re so happy to have discovered New Garden as a wonderful new spot for gatherings with friends. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“If you’re looking for a truly unique dining experience, East Town Yard Fried Chicken is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a nostalgic 70s-era China with the restaurant's quirky decor. The red brick walls and enamel plates evoke a sense of vintage charm, while the slogan wall adds a playful touch, making it a perfect blend of culture and creativity.
Now, let's talk about the food—this place is a game-changer. The northern-style stir-fried chicken is unlike anything you've had before. Tender chicken, packed with flavor, is stir-fried to perfection—not deep-fried—allowing the natural taste of the meat to shine through. The spices are perfectly balanced, offering a delightful kick without overwhelming the palate. Every dish here feels authentically Chinese, with rich flavors that are both comforting and exciting.
What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail in every aspect—from the food to the ambiance. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whether you're a fan of traditional Chinese cuisine or looking to try something new, East Town Yard Fried Chicken offers a memorable dining experience you won’t soon forget. Highly recommend!“

“(Translated by Google) You eat well in peace, it looks clean, they serve super fast... only that they neglect a bit the issue of service, being attentive to the tables and there is always new staff. The food was excellent and more than enough. They are dishes that two people can easily eat at a good price.(Original)Se come rico tranquilio, se observa limpio, sirven super rápido.. solo que descuidan un poco el tema del servicio el estar atentos a las mesas y siempre hay personal nuevo. La comida excelente y más q suficiente. Son platillos que fácil comen dos personas.. a buen costo.
Vegetarian options: Hay variedad.. creo q es opción de cada persona y si pides que te recomienden un plato sin carnes rojas.. o ninguna. No tienen problema en complacer hablan español
Kid-friendliness: Si. Un lugar limpio y tranquilo.
Parking: Es pequeño pero suficiente aún, poca demanda.

“TL;DR Would recommend this place if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant with delicious options and your party has people with various dietary choices. This place is AWESOME. Due note that I'm writing from a position that whenever I go out to eat, I have to keep in mind the vegetarian, vegan, and meat options. They said they can provide MORE vegetarian/vegan options if you call ahead and let them know. I haven't done this and each time I went in, they've been able to make at least 4-5 vegan dishes. So good, I always have to take leftovers home. They might not promote themselves as a vegan/vegetarian restaurant but the head chef used to work for a vegetarian restaurant for almost a decade so he has tons of experience.“
“This place is great! The food reminisces of not only Chinese food but close with the Korean food I grew up with. The interior is beautiful and there is alot of space for large gatherings.I totally recommend the black bean noodles, it's not as expensive as other dishes but simplicity is absolutely amazing, and to To-go it for home is a splendid idea.I also recommend the walnut shrimp-there is alot in the dish and you just cannot stop eating it.“
“(Translated by Google) I have been in Los Angeles for six years, and I have eaten all the duck and lo mei restaurants. This one makes me feel like eating. Everything is delicious and the price is fair.(Original)来洛杉矶六年 吃遍了所有鸭货卤味店 这家让我吃到了情怀 每个都很好吃 价格还公道“

“The service was very kind. I originally just wanted to buy a simple dinner to take home to share with my family, but the service staff warmly recommended and ordered a few more items, and the bill almost exceeded 100!
Parking: You can add as many parking spaces as possible! This allows guests who come to dine or take out to easily find a parking space, saving time!“
“I just just opened a bag of the ground pork original flavor and consumed the whole 12oz bag in two days! A tad sweet & sticky for me, texture was Great though! Ordered three more 12oz bags to try the other flavors?“
“Been coming here for awhile now. Skip the bougie GUI BBQ upstairs and the Mountain House next door if you want to eat some authentic Chinese Sichuan styled cooking that's not flamed by bullshit Xiao hong shu or tiktok.
Best of all skip the damn lines.
Here's the interesting part:
I have ordered the exact, and I mean exact dish combos for the past 10+ times I've been here. The flavor profile and consistency are the same across the board. I have not been disappointed once!
No need to mention just how difficult that is to achieve across the board within the restaurant industry. That's a feat in itself!
The lamb skewers are grilled over charcoal in the back kitchen just like at GUI upstairs. You just don't see it but you can def taste it. This is still better than the GUI Irvine location which doesn't have any charcoals taste.
Order exactly these:
Go for the basil clams, spicy black bean paste intestines, and the spicy crawfish. Add any veggie dish and you're set.
Thank me later.“

“My five star rating is for the House Special Dragon Hair, also known as Dragon Whiskers, Dragon Beard, or Chayote Vines.
Served as a cold dish, it was fresh and crisp, definitely something you will crave again! I wish more restaurants served this vegetable entree!
As you can see below (I added photos for the entire Eat Joy Food menu) they have a massive menu of Taiwanese banquet style food options. So many items that it was a bit overwhelming but luckily we had a Taiwanese friend do the ordering for us.
As for ambiance, it’s average but the stinky tofu smell in the air was a bit tough to deal with. Pricing is a bit on the high end compared to Java Cafe (another Taiwanese spot nearby).“

“It’s so delicious. It’s good quality and reasonably priced. I’ll repurchase the pork belly chicken endlessly. Thank you, boss. I hope the restaurant can keep going. There are so few restaurants in Los Angeles that I can keep coming back to. Most of them are blocked after I go there once. I have been eating here for more than three years and the taste remains the same.“
“Although there are so many authentic Chinese restaurants in the Rowland Heights area, This place is on the TOP. Beware of the huge portions though, don’t order too many entrees because you can’t finish them all! My favourites are clam soup and hot Chili pork, and the price is pretty reasonable too. I also like the fact they use portable wireless device for ordering and CC.“

“Tucked inside a mall complex, this cozy spot specializes in Nanjing-style duck dishes, from noodle soups to traditional cold plates. We ordered the duck innards noodle soup, duck blood vermicelli, and salted duck—all deeply flavorful and true to their roots. The duck liver and gizzard added richness, though the intensity began to weigh a bit heavy toward the end.
Service was prompt and accommodating—the server even brought out a salty dipping sauce for the duck upon request. The only quibble was with the pricing: while costs everywhere have crept up, a simple soy sauce noodle soup at $13 felt a touch steep. Still, the cooking holds its ground with authenticity and care, making this a worthy stop for anyone craving the tastes of Nanjing.“

“I stopped in on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago and had to wait for a fresh batch of beef pies, but it was definitely worth the wait.
I ordered:
• beef pie
• pork pie
• vegetarian pie
• scallion pie
This is a *cash only* place, but thankfully they had Zelle so I could scan their code for payment.
My family enjoyed it and I look forward to coming back to try other menu items!“
