“Steady line outside the door but it goes by fairly quickly. The smell out the door is all the motivation you need to stay in line, and trust me, the pastries do not disappoint! All the pastries were good but my favorites would have to go to the Kouign Amann and plain 'ole croissant.“

“60 yrs ago, I, my mother and Lorraine E. went on a Santa Cruz county beach excursion. While returning home Lorraine stopped someplace and purchased some kind of drink of orange juice and ice cream. So delicious I tried to emulate that drink. Close but something was definitely missing. That was me at nine yrs. Finally stopped by the Dairy Queen on Bay Avenue, Capitola and got the big cup. I ordered the Grasshopper, and let me tell you, it was so delicious I can still taste its minty, chocolatey goodness as I write this review. Every bite was perfection!

A heads-up: parking can be tricky due to the area’s foot traffic, so plan to spend some extra time finding a spot and waiting in line. But once you take that first bite, you’ll forget about all of that. Highly recommend Mitchell’s for anyone looking for amazing ice cream and top-notch service!“
