“Stopped by Little Late Bird on a weekday at 11am. It's a comfortable cafe serving Korean staples. The Ube Latte was like tropical Hawaii in a cup with coconut hints. The vegetable Japchae had perfectly chewy noodles and just enough sauce and veggies. The Bulgogi sandwich was amazing: toasted roll, perfectly cooked beef, lettuce, tomato, and spicy pickled jalapeños for contrast. Everything was filling but not heavy. They're also open on weekends 9am-4pm, so it's officially entering our brunch rotation!“

“Some places never really leave you. This café is one of those places for me.
I have many warm memories connected with this café. We used to live nearby, and when my kids were little I would often walk here with a stroller, sit down with a cup of coffee, relax, and have a small bite.
I also came here many times with a friend and our kids. Later we often stopped by with my husband while our children were attending their sports classes nearby.
What makes this place special is that they roast coffee right inside the café. There is a large roasting machine, and you can smell the fresh coffee as soon as you walk in.
The café also has shelves with books that you can read while sitting with your coffee. The walls are decorated with paintings and interesting details that make the place feel warm and cozy.“

The iced latte was delicious and well balanced - actually tasted like coffee and not just milk! - and the avocado toast was fresh and generous with the toppings on delicious bread. “I went into Steve’s Cafe & Catering alone and honestly wasn’t even sure what to order at first. The staff immediately made the experience comfortable by asking thoughtful questions about what I liked and helping guide me toward the Parmesan chicken sandwich — which ended up being incredible.

It was fresh, flavorful, and so good that my girlfriend even ate vegetables she normally doesn’t enjoy. Beyond the food, the atmosphere felt welcoming and supportive, especially as a new customer. You can tell they genuinely care about helping people have a good experience, not just making a sale. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

By the way, the brownies made my girlfriends eyes roll hehehe, I highly recommend Steve's Cafe & Catering“

“She is wonderful to work with. I have used her twice now. Once for a Mickey Mouse Twoodles cake and just recently for a baby shower. We got lemon for the cake and snickerdoodle for the cupcakes and when I tell you everyone loved them both. Her cakes are delicious and she does and amazing job with decorating them you send her a picture of what you want and she will not disappoint.“

“The Absolute Best Coffee in the Bay Area!My husband and I are total coffee seekers whenever we travel, and finding Kaizen & Coffee was the absolute highlight of our trip to San Mateo! It might be the smallest coffee shop we’ve ever visited, but it packs a massive punch. The modern black-and-white interior is incredibly clean and inviting, and the baristas are wonderfully friendly and helpful.We stayed for a week and literally came back 5 times—that’s how good it is! We tried three of their signatures: the Black Sesame Latte, Ube Latte, and Miso Caramel Latte. The Black Sesame was our absolute favorite, closely followed by the Miso Caramel. We enjoyed the **Garden Omelette** with fresh veggies and Monterey Jack cheese, the flavorful **Veggie Breakfast Burrito** with feta and pico de gallo, and a refreshing **Seasonal Yogurt Parfait**. The **Breakfast Sandwich** with ham, avocado, and aged cheddar on a toasted croissant was a highlight. The friendly and helpful staff made our visit even better. “My first introduction to brazilian food was a coxinha. I wanted to taste it before I got home, but it didn't even make it home, it was so good. I love the krispy texture outside and then the creaminess of the mixture inside, its just beautiful. And for those who don't like spice, this is the perfect amount of heat. I would have preferred to have a little spicier, but those who cannot handle heat,this is really good.

It was good, but the burger patty could have used a little more seasoning in my opinion.
