“Three friends and I dined at Rangoon Ruby in San Carlos on a quiet Thursday evening (except for a wild 49ers game that was being celebrated in nearby establishments!). We chose all vegetarian options, and everything was plentiful and delicious. We had the tea leaf salad, (very light and refreshing), the garlic eggplant (deep purple and delicious without being gooey), Burmese pad tai (pungent sauce on perfectly cooked noodles) and veggie kabat (a mix of vegetables and tofu stir-fried with paprika, masala, tamarind, jalapenos, mint leaves, tomatoes, onions and cilantro) . We also had two orders of coconut rice. The salad plus three main courses was plenty of food! We thought everything was delicious and comparatively (in this neighborhood!) reasonably priced. We were treated very respectfully and were allowed to take our time.“

They have a nice little bar for single individuals.
The only thing I would change is their French toast uses regular bread. Maybe I had to ask for large Texas toast, which I prefer.“

“One of the two best taprooms on the SF peninsula. If you know this one, you don't need me to tell you the other one, which is about 2 miles away. Like that place, AA has been getting better and better for the last decade or so. No food here though, it's all about the craft beer knowledge and vibe. Can't recommend a place more highly. Staff, music, and TVs showing classic 70s-90s films when there's no relevant sports on. This is the best there is .“

“This place is more than I thought! I always passed by it and thought it was a small space with a taproom but I was mistaken. This venue is huge, the beer was really good and they have food trucks out back (On Friday when I went). All of the staff were really kind as well. Looking forward to going back.“

“Elia is one of my personal favorites. The food is always so good and the service is top notch. I've tried other Greek restaurants in the neighborhood and there's no comparison. I've gone with small and large parties and everything is always perfect. If you want Greek food, do yourself a favor and come here.“

“I live at the top of the road and I passed this for a year. I thought it was there because we have had a ton of construction on the road. Thought I’d give it a try… oh sweet baby Jesus I’m glad I did. The tortillas are made from SCRATCH!!!!! The meat is not grease the flavor is a chefs kiss amazing. Tacos are $3 a piece, that’s all I’ve tried but the my dying to try more. They have burritos and tortas. Def give this truck a taste you won’t be disappointed.

Everything on the menu is delicious, but my top picks are definitely the fish tacos and the goat cheese with pistachio so unique and full of flavor. And their steaks are always cooked perfectly and taste amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and family-friendly, and the staff are always welcoming and kind. Every visit has been a great experience. For dinner I had the Cappellaci (housemade butternut squash tortellini), which was delicious. My friend had the Pennette Vodka, which she also enjoyed. The service was excellent: warm, friendly, and very professional. I plan to bring my husband here for date night sometime soon!“
