“I like my sandwiches moist - there is nothing worse when you unwrap that paper around your deli sandwich and wonder if they forgot to put any sauce, condiments on there, and if your lunch experience is going to be drier than dirt. No worries about that at Lou's. By now, I've tried about 7 or 8 of their sandwiches and every single one has been a wonderfully messy delight (extra napkins!). Somehow, their signature jalapeno sauce seems to go with every thing - haven't found a mis-match between that sauce and any sandwich yet. The bread - where the hell are they getting this bread?!?? It is the best deli sandwich bread I've had since I fell in love with the dutch crunch at Sam's Deli as a teenager (oh, those were the days!!). The folks there are great - just cranking out one delicious meal after the next with quiet precision and skill. Awfully nice to have this place right here in town!“

“This is the place to get a Great Deli Sandwich. They also serve burgers too. They have a great salad bar as well. It's in an industrial park area off of Harbor street, so parking can be tight. I will definitely hit this place up again when I'm in South San Francisco near the airport 😃😃😃“

“There is a big parking for at least 20 cars. In the building there is just a line and some menus on the T.V's. You wait you turn and get served slowly but professionaly. They ask some specific questions about your sandwich because you can litteraly order bread and ham on top. Without any toppings or any thing on top. There are outside seating but not a lot.

Tip : come early at 11:30 because after at 12:30 there is a long line“

Easy ordering process, but service could be slow during the peak lunch hours. The three salads we tried were all pretty good, and just the right portions. Large free parking lot.“

“I am so glad they opened this sandwich spot! I ordered 5 items for takeout and it came out to only $34. I got 2 veggie sandwiches on Dutch crunch. Best sandwiches in San Mateo County. I also tried their 2 dessert options. They have the bst carrot cake I have ever had! Their chocolate chip cookie tasted very rich. I had their veggie soup which was fresh and delicious. This place is my new go to spot. The location is a little awkward, but the inside is organized and clean. It only took 10 minutes to make my order. Definitely a satisfied customer!!!“

I have not visited in many years and wanted to share my recent experience. Depending on your needs, this could be a nice resource and alternative to other food options nearby. Sandwich, chips and soda came to $17.77 although I did not feel especially lucky: [ 7 | 7 | 7 ]
The service was friendly, skilled and efficient, and yet the takeaway was either I am out of touch with food options on-campus or a high-profile music concert was about to begin in the courtyard based on the meal co$t. In other words, if you are looking for a drink and a snack, they have a nice variety of both. If you are looking for an affordable lunch option that you might consider making a habit, this may inspire you to find your favorite bread at the grocery store, to meal prep your must-have toppings and try the DIY sandwich crafting path instead. If you had a tuna kit and a slice of cheese, would they sell you two nice slices of bread? Maybe next time!“
