“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. Their menu includes breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, avocado toasts, old fashioned oatmeal, and build-your-own scramblers. For lunch and dinner, they offer sandwiches, Paninis, burritos, Cuban sandwiches, veggie sandwiches, wraps, salads, combos, kids' menu, bagels, and more. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. Thank you to the owner, Haydee, and her family for providing such a great first experience. I'm now a loyal customer!”

“This is a hidden gem for delicious, affordable, generously sized bento boxes and plates. They take pride in their presentation and they don’t have to do this, but they also included a lot of little extra items that compliment your meal. Like many have said, there’s a little bit of a wait but our teriyaki chicken was made fresh to order and worth it. BTW, this California Roll Plate with Teriyaki Chicken has another layer of rolls underneath, so 10 rolls total. With rising prices, it’s so nice to find a place that serves a great meal with super nice staff for under $11.”

“An all around SOLID American (multi-cuisine) restaurant. This is my first time, but not my brother-in-law’s first time here. He enjoys the lunchtime burgers, but today we were there for breakfast. I usually establish my review opinions by ordering a breakfast burrito. My eye was caught by the ‘all meat’ breakfast burrito. You will notice that it had sausage, ham, and bacon with the usual hashbrowns and eggs. It was enormous, as described on the menu. My brother-in-law got the pancakes and eggs with sausage. The pico de gallo and salsa were spot on and made the breakfast burrito a hit compared to what I usually find in the area. I’m not a small guy and I can eat a pretty decent amount. I had to bring half of my burrito home. I also like that I could self serve my 3 cups of coffee. They had vanilla creamer, and the coffee did not have that typical bitter, weak, diner taste. I’m sold on their breakfasts. Soon, I will return to give lunch a go-around. Photos with iPhone 13.

“Jose was very welcoming as soon as I walked in I felt at home and engaged with their delicious menu. I got the oatmilk iced coffee with agave and it was delicious! Also got their fresh beet juice and their circle k green juice with a strong ginger shot absolutely hit the spot! Highly recommend!”

“Easily my favorite diner in the San Dimas area. It’s a traditional American diner right in the heart of downtown San Dimas on what looks like good old-fashioned Main Street America. Parking in this area is extremely easy, there is a parking lot in the rear, but we were able to find a free space right out front. Inside is also very large with many different seating areas and seating options. Our waitress was extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out fast and at a fair price.

The menu is really large and filled with all sorts of great American diner classics. I had heard so much about their Chicken Fried Steak and overheard many other diners ordering it before me so that’s what I chose for my breakfast and I was extremely satisfied with it. It was a large cut of meat and it had great flavor. The eggs were also cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed them. I got a biscuit on the side, which was pretty small, but the flavor was really nice, I just wish it was larger in size.

Overall I would suggest to any diner fan in the area.”

Just know that the shop’s location in San Dimas is located not in an obvious place, but trust me … their ice cream is out of this world!! My advice? Give the store a call before heading over as the store has very limited hours, so as not to get disappointed.”

“We left raging waters and wanted sushi. This place was close by and there was no wait for a party of 7 on a Saturday. They seem to do a lot of to go orders and delivery. The food was very good and the service was on point. Highly recommend.”

“I always have the most amazing experience at this Applebee’s San Dimas for decades! Yesterday, was the best that I simply felt this review was warranted. From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm and welcoming. Aurora at the bar was truly exceptional!! Her service was top-tier, fabulous, friendly, and professional. She made us feel right at home and elevated our entire experience. The rest of the staff were equally wonderful, attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do.

The food? Absolutely delicious! Every bite was full of flavor, and the value for what you get is unbeatable. Whether you’re stopping by for a drink or staying for a full meal, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommend and definitely coming back when I am in town.”

“This is the 2nd Location so the Best Location is in Chino.. We moved to SG so San Dimas is closer but it was a bit of a disappointment.. The wontons were small, burnt nd had almost no filling.. Chino's are big, hot soft nd crunchy at the same time.. The portions given are good but Chino's gives you leftovers lol.. The Orange Chicken is always a Must!! Luv this restaurant..

“What an absolute gem! We go here around once a week and love it. Staff is always super friendly and the menu is excellent. The pastries are really good, and the lilikoi French toast is a decadent meal that can easily be split amongst two or three people.”

“See, normally i wouldnt write reviews for a sandwich chain... but i felt like this was a place that I needed to review. The person who took my order was this young lady named Diana. She was so kind and attentive not to mention very personable, as we had a great conversation. She was also very helpful because she was very knowledgeable about the different options. All of the subways in Irvine and OC in general are a joke because a lot of them have terrible customer service but Diana was the first good Subway employee in a while. Will continue to come back whenever I'm in the area.”

“Been on the prowl for a new spot for a good breakfast burrito in our new area. It's been more miss than hit with some places charging way too much. Decided to give Taqueria Poncitlan a try and OMG it was amazing and far better than our previous regular place.

I opted for the chorizo, beans, and egg burrito for $10.99 but added avocado, tomatoes, and cheese bringing it to around $14...and still cheaper than some of the $16+ price at other spots.

This thing was huge!! They gave me the green and red salsa which were both great. I would get it with pico de gallo next time instead of tomatoes. Flavor, texture, and freshness was exceptional. Plenty of seating with friendly staff with a casual setting and a TV. Finally found our go-to spot for breakfast burritos!! Woohoo!!”

I have been going to this Chinese fast food place for almost 20 years. Even though they keep the same menu and cook the same food, but I have not seen the quality goes down, or the price going up too much. Especially in this inflation everywhere Era, I have seen many restaurants raise the price, or just give you half amount of food, this restaurant is really doing an honest business. “First time here. We saw a review on facebook and decided to try it out. Very small place but cute. We walked in and was left standing not knowing if we sit ourself and there were several tables that needed to be cleaned off. An elderly lady looked at us and did not acknowledge us so I said, shall we seat ourselfs? The lady was the owner Angela, which seemed like she was taking orders, serving and making food. We sat down with no menus and my husband had to get up and go to the counter and Angela just said can I help you? Wow. We never even got our water until 1/2 hour later. We sat at a table next to the womens bathroom and the area smelled a little of sewer which was not enjoyable. Finally she took our order. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and shared a antipasta salad which was very good and the pizza was good. My hubby ordered to go an sausage & pepper sandwich. The sandwich not so good. It was very salty and the sausage tasted old. Service was extremely slow. We are not sure if we will give it another try or not based on our experience.”
