“Updating my review because the service here has gotten much better and they handled covid pretty well. Also probably some of the best Pho and combination friend Rice I've had which is the main reason I returned. The good food. Hopefully they continue to provide better service.“
“This is a hole in the wall. The sauces this places produces is pack with flavor. These bold flavors come in different variations of heat mild is ok the hot one is spicy but enjoyable and extra hot you better be ready to guzzle water. You can taste the difference in the spices the owner Nam uses he takes pride in his work and the taste is there. No wait unlike the big name places, but their food speaks volumes. This place holds true to great food from a family business. This place has won this foodie over. Hidden Gem in Covina there are a few of these places and this is one of them. Glad to have stumbled upon it. Glad I didn't listen to the 1 bad review.“
“Today I called in a lunch order for me and my boss who is a little special and like all the available meat options in his fried rice. I headed over to pick up the food which was ready in a timely fashion and went back work. As we were eating the food in walks a worker from the restaurant because they forgot to put shrimp in his rice. The dedication to service required to drive over to us to drop it off without us calling really shows the care they provide to their customers. We will definitely be back!“
“It has a very nice atmosphere, clean. We ordered the number 10 + 27 and additional order of the ribs. Very good quality meat, esp the ribs fall off the bone tender. The standard combo has a lot of meat and the pho noodles retain its chewiness and does not fall apart. Broth is rich tasting. The 27 stir fried filet mignon also tastes excellent with its garlic stir fried taste.“
“This place has great food and is in a great location, I was promptly greeted and offered a table upon arrival, the guy taking our order was friendly and informative about the menu, unfortunately they lost one star because the lack of cleanliness in the restroom ? and restaurant was not clean and inviting.Dietary restrictions: They offered accommodations base on your diet restrictions“
“Always a pleasure coming here. The food is packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served with generous portions.I work in the plaza and go here often for lunch. The service is always top-tier and the staff are welcoming. Whether you're taking it to go or enjoying the ambiance of the store, PhoX is the perfect place to get a delicious, filling meal.I go here at least once or twice a week and I don't plan on stopping any time soon!“
“The elderly Vietnamese couple who owns the restaurant are very sweet and friendly. The store itself is pretty humble, though the outdoor seating is pleasant. I actually enjoyed the spring rolls more than my pho, but the noodles and jalapeños were really nice! The pho is a bit middle-of-the-road, at least to an American palette. I’ve been to Vietnam three times, and the broth is very authentic, but not what a lot of people are used to in the States.“
“The best pho in town ! They fill up your water constantly that's a big plus for me and it's fresh cold water. The pho was perfect the taste the amount if broth and meat, I recommend you coming here if you are craving that perfect bowl of pho“
“I was greeted as soon as I walked up, very nice service.I ate my pho there oxtails, very good.I had to go orderSalt and pepper fish and spicy wonton ?️I got home and my order was wrong??I had gotten shrimp with rice? The spicy wonton was green?Very disappointed ?Next time I will check before I leave.“
“What I can say about the food is that I like to follow my taste buds. My taste buds says it was very flavorful and the quality felt and tasted top notch. it was also quite plentyful. As for the service, they were very eager to serve us. We were not ignored and they were very kind. As for the atmosphere, it is a bit quiet. if that's what you like then you'll love this place. if you prefer music in the background then you may want to try elsewhere. I like this place because it wasn't noisy and it took away a lot of the anxieties from most restaurants that I experienced. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Vietnamese food and enjoys the friendly employees. Why did I give four star for flavor? I do this normally because I do believe that there's always room for improvement. Even with the best tasting food in the world. There's always room for improvement.Vegetarian options: I think there's plenty vegetarian/vegan choices.Parking: Vertical parking all around the restaurant from the street“
“I am a DoorDash aficionado, and always on the lookout for new and tasty fare. Tay Ho delivered! Their garlic noodles with filet mignon, as well as with tofu and mushrooms are super flavorful! The filet melts in your mouth and the vegetarian option is so full of texture and flavor! The crispy egg rolls are delicious, especially with the sauce for dipping that is provided. And, who doesn't love an iced Vietnamese coffee? This is a go to lunch now on our weekly rotation!“
“Small, hole-in-the-wall place.Service is pretty fast considering there's only a couple people serving. This place's charbroiled meats are so good! Their vermicelli bowls and rice plates always hit the spot and the sides of egg and pork loaf and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu are tasty as well. You do not need the sweet fish sauce because everything is so flavorful by itself, but it's definitely a nice addition! However, I don't necessarily care for the soups here. Their pho broth is a little bland and imitation crab meat in the seafood soup someone in my party ordered was still cold in the middle.“
“Soooooooo FREAKING DELICIOUS! I’m telling these pho restaurants that are trending doesn’t beat how amazing fresh and delicious this place is!!! Everything had different flavors and it’s not as known so you get a calm and peaceful environment. But this place should get the Recognition it deserves!“
“This is a classic staple in our household both for takeout and dine-in. We more often than not take it to-go since it's close to home, and easy to pick up. The food itself is consistent and we love good pho on a chilly SoCal night. They also offer vegetarian broth for any vegetarians- just ask and they will substitute the broth. Honestly the service can be a little hit or miss depending on how big they are- but overall, is a good option for pho! Other consistent highlights: - rocket shrimp: fried whole shrimp dipped in a sweet and sour sauce - pork chop rice: whole pork chop w/ broken rice and fish sauce“
“I was skeptical to try to this place because it looks too modern. Sounds silly, but I usually like hole-in-the-wall places for "foreign" food because I have found that those places tend to have more authentic dishes. However, I have been to so many pho places around here and I can say that this one has a very tasty pho. The broth was very flavorful (the last place I tried had ok/good pho but I mentioned in my review that the broth there was lacking some in flavor). Also, I like tripe as a meat topping (which isn't as popular around here) and I don't always find the right meat combos that I like on other pho restaurant menus and the combo with all meats has some meats that I don't prefer. I like that here they have a two-item meat option and I can pick the two meats I really want. There is also a meatless and a vegan option with vegetable broth.Would definitely go back to try other menu items!“
“Whenever I'm in the area and don't feel like driving all the way to garden grove/westminister Pho Rowland hits the spot. Service is quick and friendly. Restaurant is usually busy but turnaround is quick. Food is delicious and satisfying. Only thing I would improve on is the fish sauce. Wish it had some more chili and garlic kick to it. Pho comes in large orders only!!“
“The place is a little but can fit in large party of 25 or 30. The food were all good accept a few like fried tofu ( too salty) and Bánh xèo, there were 2 little shrimps :( for a plate that cost as much as that should be more, don't you all think so?But any way, the rest of the food like pho and beef nói soup were so good thought the price were like 20 bucks each. Service was great, place was clean. And the best thing is 7 leave tea station is right beside it. After the food we drop by 7leaves“
“Still scratching my noodles itch, I found my self at Quan Nem for Vietnamese pho. For the first time I saw an option for the fresh noodles. I opted for fresh and was glad I did. Fresh noodles are an extra tasty feature that goes with the very flavorful broth. I opted forThe spicy beef and oxtail soup. The fresh noodles were yummy and the bowl is huge. Vietnamese coffee and shrimp spring rolls rounded out my meal. Although a bit pricier than other pho shops, again huge portions.Yum“
“I'm going to preface this review by stating that I'm Vietnamese American, born and raised in Orange County, in the heart of Little Saigon. Needless to say, it is really hard to find good Vietnamese restaurants outside of the county. That being said, I was skeptical to try this place, and I'm glad I did, because trời ơi! People are really missing out. I walked in and could immediately tell that the food was going to be good, based on the Vietnamese drama playing in the background, and Vietnamese music, but wanted to keep my hopes down. Walking in, the place feels like any old mom and pop shop back at home.I ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt and was immediately impressed with the smell. Upon first sip of the soup, I was floored. The phở is as good as when my bà ngoại makes it. The only thing though, is there is very little cilantro and very little râu thơm, but all is forgiven considering the taste is exceptional.I also ordered the large cà phê sữa đá and it's pretty strong. Good, but my personal preference is sweeter. This is more akin to what my own dad would like, but that just means it's authentic.I'm so glad I gave this place a try. Rất ngon!“
“I’ve only ordered a few things but they’ve been delicious so far. I got the House special pho and it was served piping hot. Great assortment of meats and veggies and tasty broth. The grilled beef sandwich is also very good. It seemed light at first but definitely hit the spot.“
“The best Vietnamese Restaurant in California. Even the fried rice was amazing, in fact the best I have ever had including restaurants in China and in Vietnam (I traveled there several times). I lived in Arcadia and Temple City and have visited many Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants, nothing can compare to the food in this place. The staff is also cute and friendly.“
“2nd time walking into this establishment, I really enjoyed the iced vanilla cafe late(boba is optional), and the service here has been consistently kind. I will be coming back on my breaks. Since it's just a walking distance to me. There's other stuff i'd to explore on their menu.“
“Just had their pho again and it's delicious. The service was fast and attentive. He did a great job considering he's the only server this morning. The place is super clean and that's a plus. A little high for a pho place but, it's so worth it. If you're looking for a good clean broth and delicious pho, this is the place for it... doesn't matter the cost.“
“Straight from Bui Vien street in Saigon. Tastes that way anyway and they had my favorite the shrimp paste vermicelli salad. Probably most reasonably priced spot in Diamond Bar. Large menu and large portions. Always lots of people eating there and takeout is always ready in 20 minutes. ❤❤❤“
“Recently tried this spot being in the area an wanting a taste of some fresh food. I highly recommend this spot as you do get what you pay for the food is delicious freshly made, you can taste the flavors put into there food absolutely found my new spot.“
