I had been fasting all day and just got out of my doctor's appointment around 530pm. I was starving on Taco Tuesdays😉lol. I looked up on Google best super tacos in San Francisco in the Mission area! Well,We'll, popped up with the most stars⭐️😉. I ordered the Tijuana style tacos🌮, handmade tortilla, grilled cheese, one shrimp🍤(Clean jumbo prawns👍🏽🍤❤️) and one steak, onions, cilantro and guacamole on the side. They were so nice💜! They even added in some chips when I asked do they come with chips. The chips were fresh and warm still. When I got home my food was still warm but I did have it in a warmer bag from doordash LOL. This restaurant was very clean and they also have the condiments of different type of sauces in clean squeezable bottles, self service packaging. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. “YUM!!! I just got a burrito bowl with shrimp and mushrooms. It was delicious and SO FRESH. The veggies and generous avocado look like a photograph they’re so fresh. good menu selection i went with the lamb Tacos and draft beer, the food arrived fresh prepared well presented. the lamb was fall apart with salsa full of freshness and flavour, the dipping gravy was perfect just enhanced the lamb flavour.

“This is by far, the best taqueria in the neighborhood. I LOVE their tacos.

If you are new to San Francisco, do not go here. If you are not familiar with the neighborhood, do not go here...If you are numb to the horrible things you see in the Tenderloin (this is one of the worst blocks for that) you should take advantage of your thick skin and enjoy the best Mexican food north of Market Street. Plan on taking it to go.“

We tried the Jackfruit Vegetarian option - ask them to add Tater Tots instead of Rice and ooh. That made all the difference.

“This may be the best Mexican burrito I've ever had, got the chorizo one! (I'm usually not super happy with Mexican food because I live in NC, but am from NM. Often Mexican food tends to be dry compared to New Mexican which swims in sauce. It actually may be difficult to find authentic Mexican food in NM because fusion restaurants are the norm (a Mexican place that doesn't offer chile).) Visiting SF - where I briefly lived years ago - I knew I had to take advantage of the good Latin American options. We tried going to Breakfast Little but their power was out, unfortunately. Al Carojo across the street just started experiencing power problems, too. This was our third choice, but it might have been my first, if I had first found the listing. It was the authentic experience I was hoping for. My partner had the breakfast plate with chorizo and his was fantastic also. Too bad we live so far away.“

“Love this place. I used to get steak tacos or carnitas (with pineapple), but now I'm trying not to eat meat. They have 2 tacos you can mix and match. I get grilled veggies, nopales or fish and add beans for some extra protein. I have started going here every time I'm in the office. Deducted a star from atmosphere for the shady neighborhood, but they can't control that.

“Great Experience with Early Bird Tacos! I needed to set up a pretty last minute breakfast for our team of 23 employees. When sending in an inquiry, through their website, to see if they could cater our breakfast, they responded very quickly and were able to accommodate our needs. Their online ordering system was quick and easy to put an order in. Day of the breakfast They showed up right on time at 7am. The delivery guy was super nice. And then the food was REALLY good! “I think I've been to about 75% of the Mexican restaurants and Taquerias in the city, so keep that in mind when I say the El Tepa Taqueria put out the very best Tacos de Cerdo I've ever had. The flavors of the pork and salsa verde melded together perfectly with the hand made tortillas!

“These are the most authentic tacos al pastor in the Bay Area! They have a proper spit roasted pork (trompo) with pineapple, just like the ones you’ll find throughout Mexico. The adobo marinated pork is sliced perfectly thin with a slice of pineapple. All of the salsas are legit, and don’t sleep on their California burrito if you’re looking for something more substantial. The handmade tortilla has amazing texture, and all ingredients are incredibly fresh. This is hands down one of the best taco trucks in the Bay Area.“

“I got their B. Option Breakfast burrito. So delicious! Perfect for a hangover. Bacon was crispy, eggs were cooked just right, perfect amount of cheese and soft fluffy potatoes. I tried all of their salsas that were fresh and had a decent spice to them. Chips are also fresh and crisp served complimentary with your meal. “While visiting San Francisco’s Presidio National Park and the nearby Walt Disney Family Museum on August 11 2023, we came upon several food trucks parked up, one of which was El Fuego Authentic Mexican. It had the longest line of them all so we figured the food must be good. The delicious smell also was a big draw! We joined the long line and waited patiently for 15 minutes to be served. As we neared the truck, a lady crossed out the fish tacos on the menu - they must have been popular. We had to quickly rethink what we’d like to order. We went for the following (to share): 🌮 Combo de Lux 🥤 Mexican Coca-Cola (500ml in glass bottles) x 2 The Combo de Lux consisted of: Soft taco x 1 Mulita (sandwich taco) x 1 Quesabirria x 1 Consommé (broth) Pots of mild and spicy salsa We were given a pager so we would know when to return to the hatch. It was an exciting 10 minute wait while the tasty delights were freshly prepared inside the food truck. We took our food over to some large plastic rocking chairs on the Main Parade Lawn (opposite the Walt Disney Family Museum) and tucked in without delay. The food was incredible: full of birria-style beef, cheesy, spicy, tasty, juicy. We had to take great care when eating it, as it was a breezy day and we didn’t want to make a mess. The consommé was new to us. We didn’t dip the quesabirria into the broth - we drank it! The flavors were very rich, with a little spicy kick. El Fuego really was a good choice and just what we needed for lunch having walked many miles around San Francisco. These were our first authentic tacos in California and the benchmark has now been set very high!“

“Had a birria super burrito. The tortilla was nice, soft and tasty, however, the burrito and birria itself was quite dry. No amount of sauce helped saved this burrito. I don't even think I tasted the avocado. I probably should've just stuck with my regular carne asada but I'm not sure there'll be a next time for that. Given the restaurant's high reviews, I'm sure I just ordered the wrong menu item. I should've checked before letting my stomach decide. So yeah, skip the birria super burrito and order one of the other menu items recommended by others.“

“I wouldn't call it a restaurant. It's more like a food joint in the Ferry Building area.

I tried their green enchilladas and boy it was good. I almost never choose Mexican food, but well let's just say someone influenced me to try this place.

In summary I loved the food. It was really delicious - served with black beans and rice on the side.

I don't know how is their other stuff but what I got was amazing.

As for ambience like I said it is pretty much a food joint - there is no such ambience but the atmosphere around Ferry area on a sunny day will be nice.“

“07/13/2025 I got the giant or whatever it's called asada burrito, it was perfect. The meat was succulent. When you cut it open you can see the tomatoes and lettuce and sour cream mixed well with the beans and rice very balanced. They also have an off the hook chicken Verde. They cook everything fresh and keep it warm behind the glass where you can see it. I wish this place was where I lived in Sacramento.“

“Couldn't decide what kind of burger to get so I asked paelin ( the guy on the register ) what he likes he said bacon cheeseburger or the western bacon blue ring. I chose the blue ring Paelin was very quick in getting the order in and showed good customer service. I will come back and recommend to others.
