“Over the years. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Mar y Sol. I usually just get a single taco with carnitas which is really a bargain. I splurged this week and had a full dinner, enchiladas verde, rice, beans, and small salad ($20-ish), took 2 entire enchiladas home for lunch the next day :-). The food is excellent, the staff is lovely, and the atmosphere is delightful. Pay cash to get a discount (3%, IIRC).“

The Google rating is 4.4, so we knew going in it was well rated and for good reason. The service is great. The prices are great. The food is so tasty. It was so good I forgot to even take pictures lol. I got the Chile rellenos plate and was delighted with just the amount of food first of all, and second...that rice! Loved the red rice🤤 My fiance got the carne asada super burrito and the chicken quesadilla. The burrito was HUGE and the quesadilla was super juicy (thanks to the chicken). Even with all of that food the bill only came out to $33! Will definitely be going back again.“

“Very authentic Mexican food. The tortillas, sopes, and huaraches are hand made and make everything that much more delicious. We tried 1 sope de chorizo, 1 huarache de carne asada, 1 taco de asada, and 1 taco de pollo and all of the food was soooo satisfying. We also got an agua de piña con mango and saying that it was refreshing is an understatement. All the people working were attentive and they also do catering FYI! Can’t wait to be back to try their tamales oaxaqueños and their tlayudas.“

“I originally was a patron of their Gilroy location, but then I found out there is this store, in San Jose! This location has been consistent with service and food, I would recommend. Their flour tortillas are fresh and thin and the carnitas is so flavorful. I regularly purchase their complete meal with carnitas, flour tortillas, red and green salsa, rice beans and pickled jalapeño with carrots along with a side of onion, cilantro and lemon. Yummmm tostada and burrito are also very good! I have tried one other spot in SJ but it was not nearly as good. Carnitas Michoacan is now part of my restaurant rotation! It's a nice bright and clean location with plenty of parking.“

“I eat here several times a month and often more than once a week! I love the street tacos. The shrimp taco is delicious and in my opinion, the carnitas are among the best I’ve ever tasted. Michelada is generous and well seasoned (I prefer Negra Modelo, and they offer many other beers as well). Chips and salsa are fresh made and a great starter while you look over the menu.
My family also loves super chicken burrito (shredded) and the rice and beans.

Kid-friendliness: They can accommodate large groups by consolidating tables. Kids seem to love looking around at decorations and listening to the background music. Food is served quickly, and there are options for kids. Fresh horchata, and agua fresca (piña, jamaica) is available.“

“My friend treated me to a late lunch today. She had heard good things about El Buen Sazón and we were so happy to have dined there. Eric our server was very friendly and welcomed us to the restaurant. He told us that breakfast was still being offered and let us know about the daily special along with what drinks were offered. We sat outside. The traffic could get loud but did not take away from our visit. My friend and I both liked each salsa that accompanied the chips because they had a bit of a kick! The Tostada Bowl with birria was delicious. I ate too much because I could not stop! My friend chose one of the starred items on the menu, the shrimp tacos. She liked them and thought the beans and rice were good too. I know my friend will return to El Buen Sazón. And next time I come back to town, I want to try more items off their menu.
