“This is probably the best Mexican food that I have ever had in recent years. Their carne asada is to die for - with the most generous portioned meat, cooked to perfection, and not greasy at all. Their grilled fish was amazingly good. So does their fish soup. Love their freshly made hot tortillas and yummy salsa. Because of COVID, they also have an outside covered seating area. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.“

“Amazing service and amazing food in a perfect setting. Not only is the resort top notch but the food options are up there as well. One place in particular is Pacific Point which offers high top seating, bar seating, and a very comfortable outdoor space as well. My wife and I had an early dinner one evening in the bar area and our food was great. Also, the service was excellent as well. Our server was accommodating, answered any and all questions, and checked on us frequently. Definitely a great spot if you are looking for an amazing meal and service.“

“From the moment we walked into the door to meet our friends, until the time we left feeling pretty good about our Friday night, Cocina de Barrio aced all of our expectations and more. The hosts were just so welcoming and made our out of town guests feel right at home. It was Happy Hour and the bartender grinded out some of THE BEST Cadillac Margaritas in town...and our party of 5 enjoyed many of them. It was obvious that the folks that work at this restaurant aren't lazy, forgetful, or lacked knowledge of their food, OH NO. These folks gloriously worked the entire restaurant as a team, and boy was it fabulous. Delicious fish tacos, grilled shrimp tacos and fresh ceviche, along with delectable braised ribs in mole sauce were served up with perfect timing, and as we enjoyed our dishes and drinks, our server Manuel, was like a Ninja - appearing only when we we appeared to be getting low on something, and quick to replenish or take more of our orders very quickly. Amazing. Our table made a promise to one another that we'll definitely come back to Cocina de Barrio for more great nights of fun and feast, and to make sure we don't wait too long to do it! Ole!“

She is so kind and sweet but just know, anyone gets tight with her, you’re gonna deal with the whole community. She’s spicy! She’s the truth. Great drinks. Just ask her for a surprise. “What a great place! When you first walk in you see the bar area, around the corner are dining tables which are great for a nice dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, I highly recommend the French onion soup and sea bass entree. The servers were attentive and kind, the ambience and music was relaxed yet had good energy. It wasn't happening when we went but sometimes they have live music too. Please check this place out!“

“Nine of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday-glad we had reservations! The waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us and all our many requests. The food was excellent as well-the only exception might be the funfetti pancakes, which were a little sweet. My one BIG complaint was the LOUD MUSIC, especially the THUMPING BASS. I asked several times if they could turn down the volume, but no luck. I want to preserve my hearing, and for that reason I will not dine here again.“

I also highly recommend appetizers and dessert here. My go to is the drunken noodles or massaman curry, but everything else I've tried was amazing. I absolutely LOVED my grain and greens salad with salmon--melted in my mouth. My vegetarian oldest child had the cheesy flatbread with banana peppers, so good! And my son with autism had the simple meal he needed. It was my son's birthday and our server even brought this incredible warm brookie and sang Happy Birthday. The ambiance was incredible; low candlelights indoors or starlight and torches outside--and all kid friendly. Pricey were surprisingly reasonable for such a gogreous resort. We look forward to our next stay. So grateful!“
