Our usual order? The Vegan Sicilian Pepperoni Pizza (crispy, thick, and packed with flavor), the Vegan Margherita Pizza (classic, simple, and oh-so-good), and we always start with the vegan garlic knots because, well, they’re irresistible.

What really makes Pizzanista stand out, though, is the experience. The head chef/owner/partner (not exactly sure, but he runs the show!) is always welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. His energy makes every visit even better.

“The pizza was to die for — we had the margarita pizza — thin crust and sauce delicious. We had the artichoke burrata appetizer which was delicious too. The area where the restaurant is located is very cool. Enjoyable all the way around.“

“Wow, what a place. The food is spectacular. Hamachi crudo (ciitrus and floral explosion in my mouth). The meatballs: high quality meat, extremely generous size, it’s a crave. Margherita and mortadella pizzas were sumptuous - the crust was chewy and perfect.

We felt like an extension of family - it was like a welcoming home. Juanito, Luis, Christine, Samantha, Ivan, and Jordan were warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the experience. This is an absolute gem. “I would describe De La Nonna as an elevated pizza restaurant. As with most pizza joints, they serve up beer, salad and pizza, but this not your standard fare.

Start off with a craft beer, wine, or a fancy cocktail (or mocktail). Lots of choices to be had.

For starters, we ordered the market salad which had a fantastically light tangerine(?) dressing. The dressing on the ceaser salad was a bit heavy, but it was still tasty.

The eggplant caponata appeared to have been lightly fried and coated in a sweet and savory sauce. Very good.

As for the pizzas, all were insanely good. Each was like a pillowy soft deep dish pizza and they all came with the best crispy edges.

IMO the roasted mushroom pizza was the best — and I'm not a fan of mushrooms.

Prices are a bit higher than you would find at a typical pizza place, but again, these are not your typical pizzas. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere, chill.

“Hidden gem, this place has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in the area. I tried the Margherita, really great balance of flavors. Not too heavy on the sauce or cheese, and it didn’t give me that heavy, greasy feeling while eating it like a normal pizza does. This tells me they’re using good quality ingredients. “We've been regular customers of the Monrovia Blaze since the first opened for business over 10 years ago. It's by far our favorite Blaze location. The pizza is consistently very good and cooked to just the right char. What really sets this location apart from the others is Marco, the store manager. He always greets us with a smile and engages us in nice conversation and demonstrates the unique ability to motivate his employees and leads by example. I've seen him doing every single job in that place at some point or another and always wearing a smile. He is a great assest to the company. Keep up the great work!“

“The corn beef Reuben was amazing! It was the most flavorful and tender corned beef I've ever eaten. My only complaint was that I ordered 2 on rye and 1 on sourdough, ALL grilled. “We first found Big Al's Pizzeria on IG. All of their pizzas caught our eye because of the unique flavors that they serve. We know that often times when you see something on IG and go experience a place in person it may not be as expected. That was NOT the case with Big Al's Pizzeria. WOW!! Can't even tell you how much they exceeded our expectations when it came to the flavors and textures that they deliver. You can tell that they use High Quality, Fresh Ingredients and take pride in their creations, especially with everything being homemade!! I know a lot of people say that it takes a while to receive their pizza but we can tell you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT AND CALORIES!! The combinations on their pizzas are next level and so fun and unique! The pizza dough has the perfect fluffiness, chewy texture and flavor. The wings WOW! Definitely in our top 5 of favorites! So crispy and flavorful! OOh plus the Brisket Sandwich and the bread they use... ufffff!!! Don't forget about Dessert! Even if you fill up on pizza you better at least take a slice home with you because IT IS WORTH IT!! They are large, creamy, flavorful and just AMAZEBALLS! We got the Tiramisu and it was NEXT LEVEL! Everything is OUT OF THIS WORLD and we can't recommend them enough!“

The name says it all. Their crust is golden and delicious.
Pizzas here have always been fresh and delicious.
The sides are also delicious. If you think you want to try it, do it.
Whatever you order, can't go wrong.

Service is above and beyond. The owner is always inviting and positive. After our first visit, he remembered us on our 2nd visit. He's got a down to earth vibe, even if he's busy. He does everything himself, and I respect him so much for his hard work.

“This place is definitely a staple, we have been coming here ever since I can remember. They open at 10:30am. My family and I went for a graduation celebration. They always have great selection of pizza readily available during bunch of lunch (buffet). They also have Spaghetti, veggies, smash potatoes, salad bar and their famous chicken & mojos. Their service is also on point, different employees kept coming around offering if we needed anything or more plates. The arcade section is also fun for kids!!! “I love the food my favorite is the linguine clams which is made with a white wine sauce but you can ask for red if you desire. Everywhere you go now a days is expensive but at least portions are large and shareable. It surprises me to read the reviews and see that people enjoyed the Tyson frozen wings they use to serve at Vittoria’s for years. I also would like to note that I love the antipasto salad and it doesn’t have only one meat as I read on one of the reviews.Also everywhere that has delivery service charges more when ordered on the app. Update: they are no longer charging for water. I can say that yes they are short staffed sometimes as well as many other restaurants have been ever since COVID. I really love the service and I will continue to be a customer for many years!! “We were very hungry, ordered delivery. I didn't know they delivered. The pepperoni pizza was good, good taste, good crust. The antipasto salad was good, although not really an antipasto. I ordered the meatballs and thought they were great. They came in a dish with marinara, onions, green peppers. The marinara was very flavorful. I put the garlic bread to good use by thoroughly cleaning the dish to get all the marinara. Less expensive Than ordering from Domino's, and much MUCH better. We've always like this place.“
