“So much to say… but ultimately, Colossus in Long Beach is WONDERFUL!! The BEST BLT I’ve ever had. Because they use high quality ingredients! Their Soft-Scrambled Egg Toast is divine. And everything is beautifully fresh. I love their country bread, baguettes, olive cumin bread, dinner rolls… but I have so much more to try Their pastries are scrumptious: Pecan Sticky Bun, Cardamom Bun, Kouign Amann, Financier, Marzipan Croissant, Sea Salt Brownie, OG Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s all amazing and I’ve brought a number of friends to show off this incredible Belmont Shore Bakery. On Friday nights Colossus serves pizza into the night. Again, high-quality ingredients make their pizzas delicious. Plus they have interesting and unique combinations. They are tip free because their starting wage is $21/hr. Great customer service. Cute little space with some lovely specialty spice mixes, food items, merch, and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating, and they serve tasty coffees and teas. Colossus feels like a little bit of Europe on 2nd Street.“

“I like coffee, but I’m not a big fan of Starbucks. This place is completely different. The coffee is really delicious, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I often drive past this place for work, and I’ll definitely be stopping by for coffee. I’m glad I discovered this spot — highly recommend it.“

“Great food and , great customer service. You feel like home. Love it“
“There is always so many people in the shopping center so I always have to park by the Ralph’s and then walk over to the Starbucks. There is a large covered area for people to sit under where there’s about 15 small tables that you can sit at.“
“my morning macchiato with extra xtra Carmel topped with whipped cream drizzled with more Caramel is always a flavorful tasty Yummy start to my day.. Always greeted with a Hello. Yummy sipping delicious Every time. MarcyBW!!“
“There is not much to say about a Starbucks in a grocery store. I can say it seems like they never have more than two people working. Well, at least in the mornings, that is. I like the people though. They are friendly and speedy nonetheless.“
“Busiest Starbucks I've ever been to. Sometimes they won't accept pre-orders from the app. Sometimes your order won't be ready 20 minutes after you place it. This is NOT the fault of the staff - all of whom are attentive and obviously focused on their work - it's just that this is a small Starbucks in a VERY high demand area.“

“Distrito Coffee is the kind of place that feels deeply rooted in its neighborhood, gritty, authentic, and unapologetically itself. The cafemirrors the energy of San Pedro with an atmosphere that’s raw yet welcoming. The decor and music are bold, a little abrasive in the best way, but somehow still inclusive, creating a space where everyone feels like they belong if they’re willing to lean into the vibe.
What truly elevates Distrito is the coffee. The espresso is a beautiful counterpoint to the edgy exterior, warm, nuanced, and surprisingly delicate, with layered flavors that show real care and craft. It’s the kind of espresso that makes you slow down and pay attention.
The baristas are effortlessly cool, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and clearly passionate about what they’re doing. The customers match the energy, artists, locals, and regulars who give the place its soul. Distrito Coffee isn’t trying to be trendy or polished. It’s real, confident, and memorable, a neighborhood café that delivers both character and exceptional coffee.“
