“The food was good, and the staff were incredibly friendly—something we truly appreciated. However, there were a few drawbacks that impacted our overall experience. The menu didn’t have prices listed, which made ordering a bit uneasy since we weren’t sure what to expect cost-wise. I ordered a wet carne asada burrito, and the composition was disappointing: about 60% rice, 10% beans, and only 30% carne asada. The flavor was decent, but it felt more like a rice dish than a true carne asada burrito. On the other hand, my wife had the birria and genuinely enjoyed it. While there were some highlights, I don't think we'd choose to return. Still, the welcoming attitude from the staff deserves recognition.“

“Tried their tacos El Gobernador and they were delicious. Also got their Cito Fries (Cajun) and were super delicious. Wife had their tostadas de aguachiles and she gives them a 10/10. Atmosphere was nice and chill and later in the evening it reminded me a little of Original Mike’s.“

I got a chile relleno burrito. My only disappointment is that it had one small chile among everything else in the burrito. I got a combo and enjoyed my guacamole and chips, though there were parts of the guacamole that were the dark brown that indicates that it was exposed to air. But, it was real, homemade guac, not prepackaged gross nonsense.

The reason for the 4 stars is because I asked for an extra side of Cali sauce for my taco (the size you get for the size of taco you’re getting is not proportionate). The lady at the counter said she could only give 1 side of Cali sauce for 1 taco. I said okay, how much is it for another one, I’ll pay for it? And she said she wouldn’t sell me a small size, if I wanted more I had to buy the 8oz for $6. She had a bucket.. a literal bucket of the small ones prepared, but nope. It’s just unfortunate to have poor customer service at such an otherwise great establishment.“

“Went for Taco Tuesday. It was very good. I suggest ordering water to drink because they charge $5.00 for a coke. It's unreal what restaurants are charging for drinks. My 2 kids and I, to drink here cost $14.00. The food is good and their salsa is great but won't really be back for the cost. If you can afford it and don't mind cost of things, you will thoroughly enjoy this food.

Id come back nice cheap lunch or dinner, it's very close to Costa Mesa by Baja taco but I think this is my new fave spot and food comes out fast. Friendly customer service. Their soup looks amazing too!

“I enjoy good mexican cuisine. But when you get delicious hand-made corn tortillas, that is the icing on the cake. Colima is a family owned restaurant that serves good home cooked meals and delicious handmade tortillas at a reasonable price. The service is great and the restaurant is very clean. It is a humble establishment located in a small shopping track in a low income neighborhood. If you want atmosphere and a great view, then you need to go to El Torito or Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. But you'll pay more for the atmosphere and food won't be as good as Colima.“
