“Never had a bad cookie here. I love how creative and simple their offerings are each month. For a small bake shop everything is crafted with love, from the decor of the shop, to the packaging, down to the fresh ingredients in each cookie. The Cheeto cookie got me hooked and I'll keep comitback for more!“

“You know it is a good place when there is a line of people outside, eagerly waiting for their sugary delights.
Being from the Bay Area where there is no shortage of renowned bakeries and world-class menus, discovering Petitgrain was an absolute delight. This small bakery offers a robust menu of exquisite, carefully curated baked goods and old-fashioned loaves. Customer service is top notch as well.
Whether you have a serious sweet tooth or are simply a curious enthusiast, Petitgrain is an absolute must. Bring a little patience, as you will need it for the queue that can span half the block from the shop!
5 stars all the way! *****“

“We were treated here by one of my rich friends and honestly, that’s probably the only scenario where a place like this makes sense for treating the whole family out. My family has a very high bar for food. People say I’m picky, and I’m like, “Please… meet my mother.”
Service-wise, this place is flawless. The staff is charming, attentive, and somehow manages to make you feel both fancy and comfortable at the same time.
Since it’s family style, we shared practically everything and with a party of seven, those plates add up fast. By the time the table was full, the bill was basically giving luxury vacation energy.
Out of everything we tried, the Radiatori Braised Beef Ragu was the clear standout. Rich, comforting, and the kind of pasta that shuts everyone up at the table for a minute.
The Garlic Knot bread was good, though we weren’t big on the pieces with the garlic ends. After some research (and by research, I mean a heated family debate followed by frantic Googling), we realized that’s a pretty common thing in restaurants — just not our personal preference. Oh and the drinks were on point :)
Overall, a lovely, polished meal… definitely best enjoyed when someone else is picking up the tab.“

“Visited multiple times during our stay in Santa Monica. The donuts are delicious. It’s no frills, definitely not one of these new fancy donut shops. But the donuts are simple, tasty and reasonably priced ($10 for a half dozen). The folks working behind the counter were very friendly and helpful.“

“I have been looking for the best gluten free bagels for years. Finally found it! Thank you Modern Bagel!“
“Julian is the best. He's genuine. His products have the finest ingredients and he really leans into quality vs. just dumping in a ton of sugar. His treats taste delicious because he's an exceptional baker who cares about quality.I routinely visit him on Saturdays (Pico Farmer's Market) with my family and we all enjoy a special treat. We also hired him to make cupcakes & banana bread for my daughters birthday party. They were all gobbled up in mere minutes :)“

“If you’re craving truly standout Vietnamese coffee, this spot delivers in a way that’s hard to forget. The brew has that bold, smooth character you hope for, and the creamy, lightly salted foam on top takes it to another level. Every sip feels balanced and full of flavor, and it definitely packs a kick—in the best way possible.
The baked treats here are just as impressive. The cookies have that perfect mix of chewiness and softness, and they taste even better warmed up. The chocolate and peanut butter one has quickly become a go-to treat.
And if you’re into drinks that lean a little sweet, the raspberry matcha is absolutely worth trying. It’s refreshing, vibrant, and somehow comforting at the same time.
Overall, this place consistently hits the mark—great drinks, great treats, and the kind of quality that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend.“

“Deliciousness all around. Especially the lattes. Nice patio BUT they need to water the plants AND fix the gate. It slams metal on metal. We’ve out felt pads on it but they disappear. So owner/manager please make the patio visit pleasant Thanks“

“A small but tasty boba shop in a sleepier part of Santa Monica. They don’t have as large of a menu as Boba Time nor do they have as many tea flavors as Sunright but overall they do have some good options and also some good optional drink additions. Inside is very small and there was only one attendant working when we arrived Sunday night for a sweet treat after dinner. They don’t have a parking lot but street parking is easy to find in this part of town. The menu is not very large, but everything that we ordered was made pretty quickly, and the attendant was very polite, and I feel that she was also welcoming.
For my first time I chose the Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée Black Tea with boba and added egg pudding, which is one of my favorite flavor combinations. The flavors were very good, not the best I’ve had in town, but still really hit the spot. They only have two drink sizes available, but I wish they would offer a slightly larger size than the one that they currently offer. Overall I would recommend and I plan to try again next time I am close by.
Parking: metered street parking only“

“HELLO THE BAGEL IS HUGE?? I find it extremely fascinating how Layla Bagels is right next door, although after having tried Jyan Isaac, I think they serve different audiences.
Jyan Isaac has more diverse offerings beyond bagels, from bread to pastries, and their cream cheese is absolutely heavenly with its stronger flavor, reminiscent of Courage Bagels’ cream cheese. The combination of everything actually on the bagel wins the Layla Laika but there’s definitely still some room for improvement in the produce quality when compared to their competitor next door. However, there is no line here and a lot more seating while still capturing the vast majority of the bagel-eating experience!“
