“One of my favorite go to pizza places in Santa Monica is across the street from Santa Monica College…. I had a slice while I waited because I needed some emergency food after Jujitsu…It was absolutely delicious…. Meantime, I ordered a large supreme pizza, Caesar salad, and two chicken buffalo wings….Always consistent and always delicious and my kids love it so thank you and keep up the good work and I’ll be back soon.“

“This gave me the perfect five star experience with the back area where the seating is incredible and the food would be even more amazing! I had the pleasure of a friend joining and he decided to have the fungi y truffle pizza with a Pilsner and I joined in with water and two slices of the magherita pizza! The service was incredible and the music was an absolute hit lol the bathrooms are unisex so all you have to do is lock the door. They except most modern forms of payment, and the iced latte with Carmel was the perfect way to finish of celebrating my day. There’s so many things here to try, where I am not on a diet I would have tried even more!“

“A friend and I visited Il Forno Trattoria last Saturday. After we left, my friend realised she had lost her grandmother's ring, of great sentimental value. We telephoned the restaurant even though it had already closed for the night, and the team immediately invited us back to search. When we arrived, the staff were cleaning up but had already started to look for the ring and helped us look through the restrooms and, kitchen. At least three or four employees actively helped, including providing gloves and helping us go through the trash to ensure it was lost in a restroom trash can. It was clear that everyone was genuinely concerned and willing to do whatever they could. Although the ring was not found, their professionalism, empathy, and willingness to stay late and actively help without question have left a lasting impression. I mustn’t forget the meal itself had been excellent: well‑prepared dishes, attentive yet unobtrusive service, and a well‑chosen wine list. Taken together with the staff’s extraordinary support, the experience showed Il Forno Trattoria at its best. It is the epitome of excellent service. Now let’s talk about the pizza… hands down some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly cooked, rich flavors, and just the right balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings. You can tell they care about quality. Every bite had that “I need another slice” kind of magic.

“I stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted immediately and was directed to a booth. My friend ordered the Banh MI Bowl and I told her it was very good! I've had it before. I was craving the Thai Crunch Salad, Large. I couldn't finish it so I took the rest home and had it the next day and it was still yummy. The grilled chicken in this salad was cooked perfectly and the grilled taste, amazing!! Faruq, our server was On Point and was very attentive with a smile! He definitely has pride in his job, which is rare these days. I will return to those location again!“

“I haven't tried the pizza yet, but want to sing the praises of the people who run the place. I'd gone in to get a coke (in a bottle,
one of the few places that has bottled Coke) for a scene in my acting class across the street. Turns out my car keys fell out of my purse and I didn't realize it..come midnight after class I was frantically searching the area and didn't find it. The next day I went back to keep searching. I remembered the Coke i bought and headed to check there. The pizza place was closed but the door was propped open so I went in calling for whom ever was in the back but no one heard me. Mimi is a warm, consummate professional who can handle anything, events-wise, and the space is versatile for any kind of casual and convivial gathering. This place is one of my favorite “third spaces” for working when I need a change of environment from the home office (there are tables that overlook the pool), painting (I’m a huge fan of the paint and sip classes) or just hanging out. Neighbors can consider it a great resource for meals and snacks off the beach (and anytime), entertaining for occasions and even just to grab a bottle of wine or party-food supplies for friends who drop by. “A large group of us were on montana with our kids for halloween. Despite the restaurant being absolutely packed and the area being crazy busy, they accommodated our party with exceptional professionalism. 10 people on the later side when its crazy busy is not an easy thing. They went out of their way to make things work, and i can not express my appreciation enough. From the host to the manager to our waitstaff, this is the kind of team and service one hopes to see in any restaurant. “The food was overall pretty decent. I wasn’t blown away by anything, but I think I would probably come back again to eat here. My wife seemed to like her food a lot. The service was pretty good. “We're big fans of this location. Yes, Domino's is a chain...but that's why the food is consistently delicious and predictable. Every Saturday night, my husband and I have a date night in and we order our favorite pizzas from this location. It's a fun ritual. I'm a big fan of the Thin Crust with Extra Spinach and he has a serious food allergy so it's a relief that there's a delicious gluten-free option on the menu for him. There are good deals, a great mobile app and easy delivery. Thank you to the hardworking team here that makes our weekly "date night" at home possible!
