All of the staff was very friendly and helpful on our recent visit, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed salmon pasta and steak, and lovely burnt creme for dessert. Having a view of the roaring Spokane Falls just added to the ambiance.“

“We have been HUGE a huge fan of a local crawfish restaurant for as long as they have been open, and have gone frequently over the years. Recently we have been looking to try some of the other crawfish places around. Not only did the Boxing Crab have flavorful sauces to choose from, top quality freshness, the best cooked crawfish we have had in a restaurant, (even better than our regular spot), and their service was wonderful! “This place is the best! We’re from Colorado and we found this place three years ago when we were visiting. We’ve dreamt about their fish and shrimp tacos ever since, so we make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in San Diego. This last trip was no different. We even went twice this year because they recommended their garlic and butter fish and shrimp tacos and they’re to die for (along with everything else we’ve had). While they do have outdoor seating available, we ate in our car because we had our pup with us. When we went back, they even said they remembered us. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, the place is clean and the food is tasteful. We just wish they would bring their truck to Denver so we could have them more often!“

They had a DJ that had really good music and then they had karaoke but it was so loud you couldn't talk to the person across from you. Every time we needed something from the waitress we had to wave her down to come to the table. She was very nice but service was not so good.“

They have a value menu for $12.99 with a drink between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. You can get a Katsu bowl or a teriyaki bowl or a wrap or a mini plate or a cheeseburger or three Musubis. I went with the Hot Cheetos Burrito — packed with carne asada, crunchy Hot Cheetos, cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. It was bold, flavorful, and definitely a fun twist on a classic burrito! 😋 I also ordered 6 rolled tacos topped with guacamole, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes — crispy and delicious. Plus, we got a traditional carne asada burrito with guacamole and salsa fresca, which was solid and satisfying as always. 🌮✨

“I stop here every time I’m in this side of my neighborhood. Take the 15 freeway and Exit El Cajon Blvd, go East a few blocks but don’t pass Menlo Ave. Look for Fish and Birria signs waving. They have the whole parking lot just drive in! I usually have two or three Fish tacos (w/o crema) and a pop then they usually know when I’m done because my to-go order is hot and ready!! My grandson is very picky but he looks forward to their Carne Asada Quesa taco’s. I’ve tried a lot off their menu and have never been disappointed, ever. They also GIVE you a “Consommé” which is actually a small portion of their seafood soup not just the fluid, I’ve had whole shrimp in mine many times and small pieces of fish. They’re not stingy with their variety of hot salsas/chili pods and garnishes (limes, cilantro, onions and pickled onions. Lots of ice cold canned and bottled drinks to choose from. This is my only food truck I trust 100% and love their quality of cooking. You’ll agree too once you try them out!“
