“Not just convenient but a must visit. The sandwiches have been great for years and years. I just stopped in for excedrin extra strength (which they had stocked) thank god—I decided to also grab the all American sandwich, it was divine. Everything top quality. The service was beautiful, very welcoming and helpful. Really like this place!“
“I don’t have a lot to say about this place. But if you gotten lost trying to find the house boats in Sausalito and lucky enough to have stopped in here and purchased a sandwich being made in front of you. You’re very lucky there’s a plethora of handmade sandwiches to choose from, my favorite is the grandma when I walk, and I scream it out and scare the hell help. For which I am truly not sorry :-) great sandwiches give it a try.“

“I’ve been wanting to come try a sandwich for 2 years, I originally found out about Davey Jones through a local eats tv show. I ordered the AB with the works and it was so good, definitely will be back 🔥🔥🔥“

“The sandwiches were DELICIOUS! Fast and great chip/drink options as well. The best part? The service! 3 people were working ( I won’t forgive myself for forgetting their names) but they interacted with my friends visiting from Spain and were just sooooo kind. I will definitely be back!“

“Highly recommend! Best tastiest sandwiches in the Bay Area in my opinion. I usually make big orders for work parties. The owner is very friendly and efficient for last minute orders.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarían sándwiches are very tasty.“

“I’m not a sandwich gal but this sandwich made me a sandwich gal.
FOOD:
Got the pastrami, which is one of the few sandwiches served hot! As an Asian I gotta admit I have never gotten the allure of a cold sandwich, so maybe that’s part of my sandwich gal conversion. Warm, spicy, saucy, and the bread is PERFECT and crunchy and airy.
My partner and I were full when we arrived but ordered a sandwich anyway; we were gonna eat just half of it and save the rest for later but nah. After he took the first bite, said “this sandwich will make you hungry.” Truly it did. IT WAS INHALED.
SERVICE: ok! They said it’ll probs take 20mins for our sandwich so we walked around Alamo for a bit. But came in 20min later and the sandwich was there for a while so maybe just wait around if u prefer it warmer, rather than leaving.
ATMOSPHERE: ok basement! Why not? Does the job. There are two benches outside to eat at, + the park right nearby. Bring a picnic mat if you want! We just ate at the children’s playground. PLUS POINTS: great coffee spot in this basement. Got a gingerbread latte. Was awesome!“

“Awesome new vendor in the kiosk that used to be Bi-Rite in the Civic Center Plaza (pre-pandemic). I've had 4 things here (napolitano, caprese and veggie sandwiches and beet salad) and they've all been fresh and delicious with a generous serving. The bread they use is soft and yummy, not too "bready" with a good bread:fillings ratio. My main critique is the pricing, which -- while in line with SF prices -- isn't going to be accessible to most of the local residents of the TL/SOMA. The gelato pricing starts at $5.99. With a playground right behind the kiosk, it would be nice if the prices were lower so a family of 4 wouldn't have to pay almost $25 to get ice cream on a nice day.“

“Loved this place! It's got a vintage farm vibe and it's so cute. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. We got there when they had just opened at 11 am so plenty of seating. I got the Fattoush sald, my hubby got the Spicy tuna sald and my daughter got the burrata grilled cheese. The salads were huge and so god and fresh. I was only able to eat half of it. My daughter ate all her sandwich which was rhe perfect size and she really liked the pesto and burratta on a soft roll. My husband ate his salad and it was super filling. We will definitely be back fir their fresh food.“

“This was one of the better sandwiches I’ve ever had. Hands down period. I was in town for a conference and picked up the Chicken Chipotle. I came back every day for lunch.
I plan to return to San Francisco at some point and when I do I WILL be eating here. I wish I could rate it 10 stars.“

“Outstanding sandwiches for a measily $13.xx final price incl. tax.
The person running the shop is a wonderful person to speak to. While he made my sandwich, many people came in and had entire conversations with him. He knew at least half of them. A real neighborhood feel. And had gun conversations with everyone. It was kind of like a TV show. So: super friendly atmosphere and service.
If you're chilling in The Panhandle and want a sandwich or snack, this is an excellent choice.“

“Dropped in for lunch - basically only 2 panini options each day (meat or no-meat). Solid sandwich on a nice, crusty baguette. Friendly service. Cute, small outdoor seating area. Would visit again if I was in the neighborhood. They do sandwich loyalty cards as well (free sandwich after 10 purchases).“

“We absolutely love discovering small, local delis in the Sunset—they always feel like a well-kept secret, known only to those lucky enough to stumble upon them. Clancey’s is no exception!
Conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, this spot is perfect for grabbing a freshly made sandwich and enjoying it oceanfront. And trust me, you’ll want to savor every bite.
We ordered the New Yorker and the Club, and both were absolutely delicious! Every sandwich is made to order, with the option to customize with fresh veggies and condiments, making it easy to get exactly what you want. Plus, the portion sizes are fantastic for the price—generous without being overwhelming.
Beyond the sandwiches, Clancey’s also stocks a great selection of drinks and snacks, making it an ideal one-stop shop before heading out for a beach day.
What really made our visit special was the staff. They were incredibly polite, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to love what they do. Watching them interact with their regulars was such a heartwarming experience—you can tell this place has a strong sense of community.
If you’re in the Sunset and craving a quality deli sandwich, Clancey’s is an absolute must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!“

“What a great find on our ride home! We got to talk to Gordo and hear the fabulous story about how his family has preserved his Mama's recipes. The food was fresh, delicious and made to order, and met our craving for a great deli! They were able to accommodate my mom's dietary limitations. The sandwiches were huge in a good way! Try the Cubano or the Philly. YUM! We tried their mama's meatballs and had to take some home for dinner. Thanks Gordo!“

“I work in this neighborhood and love this place. The sandwiches are always on point. the prices are good and the staff is very welcoming and nice. BLT is a pretty simple sandwich but I am a snob when it comes to a BLT. Theirs was perfect, just how I ordered and everything was perfect.“

“If you’re inclined to eat supermarket bagels then I say FUHGEDABOUDIT.. Wise Sons bagels are the tops for fresh, crisp outer layer and soft chewy & airy middle ( not at all gummy like most others) especially Poppyseed! My regular☕️ & chat buddy really loves Everything BAGEL toasted with butter, Did I mention Poppyseed Naked ? Not me.. The Bagel! Otherwise for a more true NY bagel you’d have to go to H&H in Penn Station NYC.“

The ambiance is corner store vibe, but the personalized quick service and decent pricing make it a must-visit. I look forward to returning when tri tip and other grill items return or sooner!“

“I’ve been coming here for years. 30 Ordered my usual burrito I am so sad to say This is the third time this has happened And have heard others complain lately too But the portion of meat given to me was so hard and dry I couldn’t eat it The food was barely warm Not sure if cook had a bad day or what And the price just since I last ordered went up Another $3 I’m so disappointed I never see bad reviews But sorry amigos This was not good“

“We used to live nearby and would grab meals here often for every picnic or hike. We moved further away, but still grab sandwiches as airplane meals. Super friendly staff, and 10/10 food.
Extra grateful today for the pastrami on Dutch crunch as we laugh at the gross and expensive airline options“

“A story of three friends including one focused on how Food ties into social interaction and cultural understanding Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen began in 2010, their expansion from The Mission flagship all the way down to Culver City thanks to “California-inspired Jewish deli food with roots in tradition and an eye on the future; for Jews who like food and food lovers who like Jews.” Founded by Evan Bloom, Ari Bloom and Leo Beckerman, each bringing unique skills to an operation focused on making nearly everything in-house, it was minutes after 9:00am on Christmas Day that the Deli on 24th Street was found quiet, the lack of queue seeing everything served within ten minutes at prices far below the Bay Area average. Using good ingredients, natural Beef Pastrami with complex spicing layered between real Jewish Rye just $15.50 with a Kosher Pickle, guests are also encouraged to order Matzo Ball Soup with a big Dumpling floating in Broth laced with Dill. No Babka on this morning, all of it committed to pre-orders, 72% Bittersweet Guittard Chocolate instead finds itself suspended in Cookies with flakes of Salt while Rugelach for $2 a bite is fairly basic considering the rest. Not forgetting a Bagel, well made with a good skin and plenty of chew, Cream Cheese comes complimentary just as good Butter, real Maple Syrup and Jam do with Challah French Toast cooked golden but still custardy in the middle.“

“What a true gem! This place was opened in 1975 and welcomes guests with as much love as day one. Fōtis (Frank) and Evangelina (Eva) were amazing and the food cooked by them was a piece of Greek heaven. I got the gyro with a side of Greek salad. It was so good I ended up getting a Prosciutto di Parma & a Spanakopita to go as well. I will definitely be back! Efcharistó poli!“
