“BEST BAGEL PLACE IN SANTA CRUZ. Bagels are fresher and larger than Bagelry. Portions are bigger and cheaper than the Bagelry. You get more stuff on your bagel without having to pay extra, which unfortunately is the case at the Bagelry. I always get a Lox sandwich with capers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber already included in the price which is $7. At the Bagelry when I order a Lox sandwich, I get a stale bagel twice smaller and I have to pay extra for capers and tomatoes- $13 total, which does not have any lettuce or cucumber in it. House of Bagels is the best bang for your buck and has the tastiest bagels around. (Pic is what I took to-go this morning)“

“Came to Ferrell's twice for breakfast sandwiches during a recent stay at the Four Points Sheraton just a 3 minute walk away. - It's a tiny little place that felt like a throwback to a bygone era. Simple, cute, clean, and charming. Had good service from the same nice gentleman both times I was there. If you're looking for some simple morning fare while staying nearby, I would definitely recommend you check out this Ferrell's location.“

Christmas eve i noticed a voicemail from the day before I missed from them saying they needed my credit card number to refund my order for 50 tamales since i cancelled the order. Almost lost my mind since i did not cancel my order and had already paid them $200 two weeks prior for 4 dozen tamales and had 50 people coming to my house in an hour and my husband was already on the way to get the order. Had to call a couple times to get a resolution and a lot of back and forth and being told they didn’t have any order for me. Luckily they did have my food and got a cancellation mixed up with mine but i needed a blood pressure monitor after that.“

“This Ferrell's is a staple on the days when a perfect doughnut is needed. The entire staff welcome everyone as if they are family. They know what I'm looking for before I even get up to the counter, and it is nice to be greeted with such friendliness each time. 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a great breakfast.“

“I really like their German Farm Bread. However, the bread starts molding the next day after the Best Before date, so there are only 2-3 days to enjoy it.“

Laurie was great at guiding our order (1/2 a sheet cake so we could write a message and cupcakes for the kids) and produced a fabulous product with only two days notice. “Pretty cozy spot - portions are great, they do put a very generous amount of cream cheese on the bagels which is a nice thing.
Queue times are average, staff was nice with their suggestions. Highly recommend trying the half guac - half cheese if you’re looking for a flavorful experience!“

“As a vegan, finding a truly delicious birthday cake is tough to find. But Black China Bakery outdid themselves! My husband ordered the vegan raspberry chocolate cake for my 64th and it's the best I've had in a long time. Kaitlin outdid herself with the decorating as well. As a long time vegan cook and baker, I'm not sure how she manages such a delicious frosting, but it was divine. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Black China Bakery. They were kind, accommodating to my husband's requests and all around a business that deserves our support.“

“Sherri’s Cookies! If you have been to the Capitola Mall then you may have seen these guys or even tried them yourself. They have these little TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookies and mini snickerdoodles. I love just grabbing a few since they are small.I needed to grab a sweet treat one day and stopped here while waiting for another order nearby. They had just baked some fresh cinnamon roll twists that were not even frosted yet. I got two of them to go and they were so delicious and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.Everyone who works here is super-nice and always helpful. “Omg - I stumbled upon this bakery not even knowing it was here, and it is delicious! The chocolate flan was a chocolate cake base and a flan on top with a little chocolate frosting. It was really tasty. The strawberry macaron was to DIE for. I want to try the raspberry one next. And the apricot tart was so yummy. “Felton donuts was good, nothing extremely special about it. Just like any other donut shop you would go to. The place was clean and organized and the staff was very polite. Will I go here again. Yes cause either way this is the only donut shop in Felton, the nearest besides this is 6.8 miles ?“
