Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. “I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting the food to be this exceptional. And that is because sometimes chain establishments are not great. However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. “This place is a GEM. I feel like I’m in an indie film every time i visit this place. This place is so freaking cool. It has all the great classics for music and friendly locals and bartender/server. Very eclectic, warm and overall relaxing.

This is by far my favorite sandwich shop in Long Beach. It doesn’t get any better than this place. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and they’re all bangers. I have brought multiple people here and they love it just as much! I just haven’t had their pizza and desserts here yet but i wouldn’t be surprised if that was good too. This place is ALL about the bread. Any sandwich you get, you’re going to be invited to the most delicious holding vessel your mouth has ever experienced. The quality of the meats are really good and the balance between them are spectacular. My favorite sandwich so far is the Track Suit. Warm, savory, cheesy, soft, crunchy deliciousness! And that pickled cherry pepper is EPIC. I want one right now! Can’t wait to come back and try more items.

Do yourself a favor and choose your own adventure here. From sitting inside or outside, it is always cool and nice ambiance; and you can always take it to go, the beach is down the street! They also have a deli shop where you can get cheap booze and cocktails in a can! I have also found new soft drinks that are now my favorite here.

“Always have a great meal at Simmzy’s. I had cauliflower tacos and they were excellent (and I’m not a vegetarian). Sweet potato fries were great. I’m the past I’ve had the chicken tortilla soup- it’s one of the best! Pet and child friendly.“

“I’ve been coming to The Shanghai’d Room for a little over two years now! The atmosphere has been great every time! The drinks are made with care, and the regulars are lively and friendly. The highlight of this spot is the karaoke from 8 pm - closing daily. I really found my confidence here!

This is greatly due to the lovely bartenders on staff. Meow was the first one that welcomed me and my friend in, and she was very attentive and made sure we had a blast!

“Love this place. It's a "jewel of the nile" dive bar when it comes to Beach Blvd. Gorgeous women and great service go hand in hand at the Green Girl! Mark this location on your map and stop by! I would recommend checking this place out if you like dive bars. I haven't tried any food from here so I can't rate it.

“The atmosphere is popping here! Excellent DJ, very welcoming people, and good vibes. The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

We went Saturday night 11-9-2024 to see the tribute band Live Forever a tribute to Oasis and what a show so good the singer nails it it was like Liam was right there in the flesh. The bartenders are top notch very attentive always making sure you don't have an empty drink. And they know How to pour and me she drinks properly. The owner is a cool guy and old skate boarder he's not that old but he was telling me about the bad it's a family business very cool guy. Its a fun hang all the people in there were nice. “Just went to blondies yesterday! Saturday night around 9:30 pm. It's a nice bar! More standing space than seating. There is outside seating but it was taken up when we arrived there and it didn't seem to free up by the time we left.Age range is millennials, maybe some college students.Music is a bit loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but overall its fun! They got games playing and I think you can have lil birthday gatherings there? There was a small birthday hang out when we were there which was really cute.Overall, good bar, would come back.“

“While I will get personal in this review to a degree, I will also be completely honest. The people you meet at ruby's are a mixed bunch between wonderful and terrible. Though that speaks of the patrons. Among which I have met what might as well be a brother to me, an only child naturally. A father to me, someone raised by a single mother. As well as plenty of friends who care... but also those who'd just take advantage, the good people far outweighed the bad. The ownership is up in the air right now due to a divorce where either potential option has their perks and I'll remain neutral despite saying that the husband's choice in manager needs to learn humility and how to speak to people, an issue many young managers face and must learn in the field when first given a leadership position. As well as the wife's choice could stand to learn when to say no. Regardless though during their personal issue, the staff remains strong and solid. Bartenders who genuinely care enough to personally make sure customers get home safe and sound, as well as give a chance to noble souls amongst the downtrodden, and I speak as someone in love with one and living with one as well.. when alone and broken before, and it was more than one of them, nearly all of them who put in an effort towards helping me through multiple deaths in the family as well as my partner of 10 years leaving me. They are trusting, sometimes too much for their own good, and there is a reason I make the drive from lake Elsinore to anaheim more often than not, and rarely their westminster location still despite the options in between. I have faith in ruby's, it's regulars, and it's staff... no matter who leads it between Cherie and Mike, I know so long as it maintains its spirit, it can and will survive and do well. And I say this as someone with their popularity in reviews based mostly in negative truths. Ruby's sports bar is one of few establishments I place faith and trust in. And if anyone who reads this finds me there, let me know and we'll take a shot on me to Ruby's and the hope and memories it creates!“
