“Lots of vegan choices here with faux meats. I ate my falafel and fries. The fries were a light golden, crunchy outside fluffy inside, generous portion, but it costs extra. The falafel (about five in the wrap) was good, a little dry, but good chickpea flavor 5/5...but I wished the lettuce wasn't so "spring mix from a supermarket bag" and clubky chunky...I like to see more finesse...but the pita was the thick fluffy kind and the sandwich was well wrapped so you could hold it without too much falling out. I enjoyed the cute Sierra Madre ambiance inside...though I was kept waiting so long in the place i nearly left...about 12 minutes alone before someone emerged from the back, without as much of a welcome or greeting. Well, I was excited to be there at least. Anyway, no check ins from any server but I tipped the guy 15 percent anyway, and he did thank me for that. I ordered a beef and chicken combo with rice and the proteins were grrrreat 5/5. It survived the half-hour drive home. Suggestion: Ask to have the pita bread packaged outside the container. The pita was under the proteins...alas mushy soggy unrecognizable....not smart, sorry. So if you want pita that isn't mush, beg to have the pita on the side. One star less because of that decision to put bread on the bottom for a takeout order. My mom didn't get any pita 0/5 and that's a shame bec it was the fluffy kind.“

The dark meat chicken was so tender the side salad was delicious a fun the hummus was good even the rice was tasty. I will def recommend to anyone just passing by to try it!! Unfortunately I live far and can’t come back anytime soon but I wish I could.“

“The food is AMAZING and the portions are very generous. My husband and I typically get the combo for two, and we usually have leftovers for lunch the next day. It’s a great value for the amount of food you get, and it’s all delicious. The kebabs, the hummus, and the rice are all perfectly seasoned every time. The beef kebab is my favourite, followed closely by the hummus.“

“My coworker and I was craving Mediterranean food and this spot was close.

I ordered their salmon plate, with a beef kubideh along with lentil soup and garlic fries. The salmon was delicious and the beef. The soup was good, a little tangy then I’m used to but the garlic fries might be the best garlic fries ever had in my life so far.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.“

“Overall my experience was exceptional. I’m so grateful for not only the tastey cuisine but for the proper facilities provided for patrons like myself who have IBS -Type M and live with alternating (sometimes instantaneous) bowel habits -I never know what my experience is going to be like dining-in and zankou chicken has allowed me to continue to dine in with my friends and dates without any worry that I won’t make it to the bathroom in time. This location’s restroom is in clear sight, accessible, has multiple stalls and they always keep extra toilet paper stocked incase it’s an IBS -Type D day (if you know what I mean!) I have been there 3 times and everytime I say that I will be trying a new dish but their sahara fries (half cream chop and half chicken shawerma) always seem to be calling my name, the atmosphere gives a very casual semi fast food vibe but the food is quality. “Phone in your order to speed up the wait. I usually get the garlic chicken panini. It's so so so very good. Keep in mind the limited hours. I wish they were open for dinner. It's also one of the few places you can still get a copy of the Pasadena Weekly.

Parking: If you don't see a spot to park in front, just park in the back. You enter the parking lot on the west side of the building. There's always an empty parking spot in back, but not as shaded.“

“My favorite brunch spot. I regularly drive here from Pico Rivera just to have their coffee lol. BEST cafe de olla I’ve had from a restaurant. Super friendly and attentive staff and amazing food. My favorite dish is their chilaquiles and adding chorizo, eggs and avocado. Sooo good. Parking is sometimes hard to find only bc this spot is so popular on weekends but there is street parking as well.“
