We did a quick cake tasting to pick our small cake and were able to taste some of the desserts for our dessert station. I received so many compliments about the dessert on our wedding day and they portioned everything really well. We even had some left overs which we were able to share with family and bring home after the wedding! We were also able to rent a cake stand, dessert stands and were are so glad we did because the arrangements were beautifully displayed and we didn’t even have to think about it on our wedding day. “After a rainy day at work, I was really looking forward to a movie night with my girlfriend with some pan Dulce and hot chocolate. I looked up panaderias near my house and this place came up. The yelp reviews were amazing so OF COURSE i had to check it out. It's 3 minutes down the street, so we got there quick. At first I was leery because there was a homeless guy standing outside but he was actually very sweet, opening the door to everyone and letting them in and not asking for anything. That was so kind. The inside of the store was neat and everything was well organized. All of their pan dulces looked so good it was very hard to pick. But we got 2 chocolate conchae, a pink concha, a pink cookie, a guava empanada thing, and a strawberry & cream filled pastry. The service was quick and they were very polite and helpful. They also have cakes and they looked beautiful! The pan was so moist and soft and fluffy. I personally like when my con has have little cinnamon bits inside but these didn't but They were still great, I loved that the chocolate concha actually tasted like chocolate on top and not just brown colored sugar. I will definitely be returning to give their other flavors and variety of breads a try. Also, they had flan that looked so good! I've got to try it. Parking was easy since it's a decent size lot, and it is cash only so come prepared. Each pan was under $2 depending on which one you got prices varied between $1 to $2. But they're well worth the price.“

“This review is long overdue- LA has a few artisinal mom and pop mochi shops that have lasted for decades, and Chikara is one of them. The presentation is beautiful, these are not cheap eats as well. For $20 you can get a decently assorted box of mochi to give, they take cash only. They also prepare it differently depending if it's a gift or for yourself. Some of my favorites are the Kiku, Sakura, Nadeshiko, and Strawberry. It's definitely pricey compared to other mochi places, but in my opinion it's the chewiest compared to others.“

It's no worse than elsewhere of the same quality. If you want cheap items go to Dennys. If you wanted cafe and bakery level food...pony up. It's cute, great servers, and delicious baked items. Their double chocolate chocolate chip muffin warmed up is sinfully good. I'll say the best time to go is not on weekend when the crowds and cyclist clubs take over the outside. “My favorite bundt cakes bakery! Located in Bixby Knolls, Bundts on Melrose is a cute family owned and operated shop. Their cakes are delicious and not overly sweet like Nothing Bundt Cakes. Each cake has a thin layer of frosting and is so moist. Strawberry Lemonade is an all time favorite but they have something for everyone. The service was great and seamless. I called in my order ahead of time as I was looking to pick up a 13 pack of bundts for my daughter's birthday. It was the perfect alternative from a traditional birthday cake!“
