the garlic noodles were so fragrant, garlicky, buttery, and perfectly chewy. you also HAVE to order the mapo tofuuu!!! the flavors just hit different 🤌🏼 so rich, savory, a little spicy, and sooo good with rice.

the sweet and sour spare ribs had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and the fried rice was yummy, simple, and comforting ♡

we also tried their new corn cheese with shrimp and it was such an interesting combo!! super creamy and cheesy, so if you love cheesy stuff you’ll definitely enjoy this one 🧀🍤

all of their flavored teas are really good too, but the strawberry yogurt drink was my favorite 🍓 it’s creamy, refreshing, and not too heavy.

“This place was always my go to when I was younger the food is bomb and the price is reasonable the cook and the cashier lady are really sweet Philippino couple. Every time I came here the lady will greet me with a smile and said I reminded her of her sister that passed away. I miss this place so much when I’m in my home town I definitely come here.“

“Tasty Goody in Norwalk is hands down the best Chinese food place this side of the Mississippi. I go there whenever I want some ? orange chicken, and it never disappoints. The portions are huge, and the prices are great for how much food you get. The orange chicken has the perfect amount of crunch and sauce, and the noodles are always fresh. I’ve tried a lot of places, but nothing really compares to Tasty Goody. Plus, the people there are super nice and quick with your order. Definitely my go-to spot for Chinese food.“

“I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.“

“Ok so we used to lived down the street from here. Approximately 2014 to 2015. One of those places that I get this nostalgia feeling...before we had our kids and before we have what we have now. The days of struggle. We used to get their deal buy 3 get 1 and we would eat it for a week. We just moved to California. We opened our clothing store and everything was tight budget. But this place in more ways saved us. They have the best bbq chicken in town and their portions is massive still...12 years later. “I love this place! One of the servers is great, she always fills my plate. However, today at about 12:30pm I went to pick up lunch and the server, short lady, not the one who is normally there. Was literally talking on the phone the whole time I’m ordering my food. What bothered me is that I asked for sauce on the side but being she’s on the phone she apparently didn’t hear me and poured the sauce on the food. I lacked to check and once I get back to my destination my sweet and sour chicken is all soggy. Get off your phone be professional so you can pay attention to what is being asked from the customer.“

Most of the Chinese food in Long Beach is actually pretty disgusting to be honest. It’s just quick grabbing go places. This restaurant, Dan, Dan, modern and a couple near Bixby Knowles are pretty decent, but Long Beach is not known for their Chinese food if you want Cambodian or you want Vietnamese there’s tons of options and great Thai, but definitely not Chinese

This is actually a great spot but the one issue I have is customer service. It just seems like everyone’s kind of bummed or not really excited to be there except for the manager. I was impressed one time. She actually brought my food out to the Alley because there’s no parking.

I have to say that was really really cool because I’m a customer and I don’t even think she knew that it was just really nice that she did it though because I had dogs in my car.“

“Today at M’s kitchen, I went with the chef’s suggestion of “cold noodles” (which is the meat sauce noodle with soy bean paste, ask for cold noodles). The pronunciation sounds like Tsa Chang lian mein, and while my mandarin is terrible the food was thankfully not. The cold noodles, cucumbers, and pork sauce hit the spot in this warm California afternoon and i couldn’t be more satisfied with both the taste and my full stomach. 10/10 Would eat again. —Recommendations— For those who want a comforting dinning experience, Treat yourself to these delicious dishes: -general tso’s chicken -spicy diced chicken -green onion pancakes -braised string beans -house special beef -braised shrimp -cold meat sauce noodle with soy bean paste —Finger foods for your office/party— For those looking to feed your office finger foods ask for a party tray (I’d get the last 3 since they are more likely “known” by the people you are feeding): -spicy diced chicken -xiao long bao -pan fried dumplings -spring rolls -green onion pancakes When in doubt, do not be afraid to ask Monica the owner for suggestions. First visit was General Tso’s (my favorite), 2nd visit was Chicken Chow mein, today is Spicy Orange Chicken (move over General Tso’s, you’ve been replaced!). “This was our first visit to the Cerritos location. I often choose restaurants based on reviews and enjoy trying new places, so I was curious to see how this one would compare. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the overall experience was better than I anticipated.

The seasoning was a little strong, and some dishes had a fairly familiar, standardized taste. Nothing was bad, and everything was prepared well, but I do feel a little disappointed when the authentic flavors of traditional Chinese food become less noticeable.

There were four of us, and we ordered about eight or nine of their most popular dishes. My parents really enjoyed the food. I have worked in China before, so I may be a little more sensitive and particular when it comes to Chinese food.
