Note: instead of waiting in long lines (never happens for me), I often have to wait for them to cook a new batch for my order. This isn't a problem for me (plus I know I'm eating freshly cooked food!)“

“If you’re on the UCSD campus and craving real Chinese food, this place is honestly a gem. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and the employees make you feel welcome. What really stood out to me is that the owner himself walks around, talks to customers, checks in, and makes sure everyone is having a good time. It feels very welcoming.

And I have to say this, the Oreo boba here is my personal favourite!“

“Amazing customer service. The food is tasty and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. I’ve tried the crab rangoons, chicken and broccoli, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, wonton soup. It all tasted great, fresh, and came in generous portion sizes.“

“It's a perfect place for a group of friends to gather as they have round tables that seat 6 or 7. The chicken lettuce wraps are always a favorite, as is the hot and sour soup, which is hearty and delicious! New lunch specials are excellent, with lots of choices and scaled down in price and in quantity. And everything is prepared fresh (you may actually have a wait for some items), but always worth it!“

“Had an absolutely marvelous lunch. I ordered the braised scalops off of the lunch menu. They were delightful. Great portion for lunch. Not too big. The atmosphere reminds me of the chinese places i used to go to when i was a kid. Ambient lighting and saxophone musac. Run by a cute, friendly family who really put love and care into every dish. “Came here last week with family of four on Friday. Dumplings were great, many varieties.very good soups and seaweed salad. Same quality and taste as Din Tai Fung but much better value and no lines and crowds (yet!)“

“One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area the best in San Marcos.. my only disappointment is the wonton soup here on the west coast!! Back on the east coast the wonton noodles are large and very doughy here the are small and soft. Hard large wonton noodles in my soup. Still the best I have found other then Philadelphia and New York Chinese restaurants.“

“I had never gone to this place before but the food was amazing!! I got the teriyaki chicken with white rice and the chicken was phenomenal! The staff were very sweet and let us sit out on the patio on a hot day. It is very convenient if you are staying at the embassy suites hotel right there.“

🥩 Beef with Broccoli: A comfort food staple executed well. The beef was tender and the savory sauce tied the dish together. The broccoli and carrots retained a fresh crunch rather than being overcooked.

🍚 House Special Fried Rice: A crowd favorite / staple. It was hearty and well-seasoned. Tip: Add a spoonful of their spicy chili oil to bring some necessary heat to the dish.

🥟 Dim Sum: The Pork Shumai, Shrimp Har Gow, and Baked BBQ Pork Buns are reliable family favorites that are perfect for a quick lunch or takeout.

Overall
A great shop for traditional Chinese entrees and dim sum. Come here for the reasonable prices and decent portion sizes.“

“Eating a lot of their food past four months through Grub Hub due to being unable to walk. It’s always excellent. Tonight’s was super excellent, chop suey with beef extra snow peas and Napa cabbage. Been cooking for over 60 years and this is one of the best and healthiest things I have ever eaten.
Also a bargain…one order is enough for three meals!!!

“Panda just panda everywhere you go right? WRONG! This location, single-handedly, makes the best food in all of North County. I have had fresh food here, crunchy orange chicken, and my chow mein is never veggies with chow mein, but rather, a ton of noodles with veggies. I have catered from them 3 times already and have also ordered pick up at least once a week for friends, co-workers, and family.

“Chin, the owner greeted me and gave me personal advice on what items I should try. He found out that I liked veggies and he brought me a side of veggies for free. The Kungpao chicken (spice level 3) was phenomenal! I loved that they served the egg roll with a sweet and spicy sauce, and brought me extra hot mustard for dipping too! She not only suggested I add their app to my iPhone to get a 20% discount, but patiently helped me do it when I was fumbling with the process. She saw as sweet as can be, and unfortunately I did not catch her name. I return to that’s spot at least once a month for a lunch break while at work in the La Jolla area. “Nomal, what I didn't like is that there is a specific person that you know speaks Spanish and when you speak to him in Spanish he says no, but he turns around and speaks Spanish to all the employees, different from the manager, he speaks to you. in English or Spanish, it's a shame they do that kind of thing“
