“This manager and his team are simply the best! This was one of the first places we had dinner, after getting moved to Solana Beach, last year. For as long as I can remember, “spicy chicken”, which is Panda Express’s Orange chicken, to my son, is his happy place. Justin remembers us, he knows our order and he and his team always welcome us with a smile. This has become a weekly tradition for us, and we really appreciate the hospitality and wonderful experience every time! I also consistently observe leadership leading by example here, highly engaged and present, and creating a personalized experience for customers and you don’t always see that today. “Everything here is delicious, especially the Braised Pork. It is so tender and flavorful. It melts in your mouth with the most delicious sauce. The portions are large for families. Theb servers are very friendly and attentive. I visit here every time I come down from Los Angeles.“

“Got takeout it was good, I will suggest that the store train their people in cutting up a pineapple.
I've gotten a half a golf ball-sized chunk of pineapple core in two different meals.

“If you’re on the UCSD campus and craving real Chinese food, this place is honestly a gem. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and the employees make you feel welcome. What really stood out to me is that the owner himself walks around, talks to customers, checks in, and makes sure everyone is having a good time. It feels very welcoming.

Back on the east coast the wonton noodles are large and very doughy here the are small and soft. Hard large wonton noodles in my soup. Still the best I have found other then Philadelphia and New York Chinese restaurants.“

Sesame triple delight, sizzling beef a la mandarin, chow mein with chicken, egg drop soup, and the Hong Kong bao were all phenomenal. Regarding a recent incident where a customer claimed to have found celery in their dish, I know for a fact that the restaurant does not serve celery; perhaps the patron mistook bok choy for celery.“

Nick, our waiter, was a lifesaver, patiently sorting out a gift card hiccup with a smile. The vibe was warm, though the lunch rush made tables turn quickly. Parking validated—score!—but the lot filled fast. A shoutout to the manager for accommodating a family with special needs; the quiet corner table and stellar service made our evening unforgettable. Only wish there were more outdoor seating for the sunny days.“

We had just done a bunch of shopping at Vinh-Hung Supermarket on Saturday and decided that we should have lunch at the Hong Kong BBQ Dim Sum & Kitchen...situated inside the supermarket. You know it didn't look too flash but it was packed out and the food going out to the tables looked pretty good. I asked a female server if we could get a table for 2...and she pointed to the only vacant table in the cafe. WHOO HOO ! I sat at the table watching the activity while my wife took an urgent phone call about her ill mother. A server named Joe came by and I asked for iced waters. THEY CAME OUT FAST ! Joe brought us menus which we checked out in detail. WOW.... there was some neat stuff on their menu. We kicked things off with a SHRIMP DUMPLING Appetizer ( $6.38 ) ! For our mains my wife selected HONEY WALNUT SHRIMP ( $21.95 ) while I chose KUNG PAU SPICY BEEF ( $17.95 ). You know when you try a brand new eatery you never know what to expect but I had been seeing some pretty good looking dishes ferried out to the tables while I waited for my wife. Our Shrimp Dumpling Appetizer arrived in next to no time and tasted SENSATIONAL ! WHAT A GREAT START ! Our mains came out together and the serves were GINORMOUS ! And darn did they look good. My wife went nuts over her Honey Walnut Shrimp....an authentic Chinese dish. I tried it and OMG it tasted beyond delicious ! My Kung Pau Spicy Beef & Rice BLEW ME AWAY ! FLAVOR KICK FLAVOR KICK..get the message. My delicious serve was huge and I actually had the rest for lunch today....still tasted awesome. THIS PLACE DELIVERED WAY BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS !“

“What a bargain for lunch! I was in the mood for lo mein and came upon this restaurant in my search in the area.
I didn't know how much their lunch special were until I sat down and looked at their menu. Wow! You cannot beat $11 for lunch these days and the food was served on a huge platter! I almost laughed when the waitress brought it out to the table.

This is a small restaurant with a few small patio tables in front. It was a weekday and it wasn't busy. The cashier/waitress was really friendly and nice. She had a ready smile for everyone who came in.

I wanted shrimp lo mein for lunch but only chicken or pork lo mein were on the lunch menu. I paid $2 more for shrimp and there were a lot in my dish. It was really good.
The side salad was plain and just mainly iceberg lettuce but the egg roll was good.“

“I've been a local customer at Panda Express since I was really little. I always get orange chicken and fried rice because they've been my favorite food items ever since! Now, every time I go, I would order the same thing or mix it up between ordering Beijing beef, white rice, or chow mein with the orange chicken.

The crispy noodles and chocolate chip cookies were food items I loved getting as well. It's too bad Panda Express stopped selling them. Hopefully the company reconsiders selling them again in the future.

Whether I dine in or take the food home, I still support Panda Express because the food always tastes fresh and delicious!“

“Food was great. Also it was great to see grandma making the dumplings right in front of you 😀.

BUT their whole thing is all you can eat, and they ask you to limit your orders to 2 plates per person per round. This means each server has to keep coming back to each table over and over again. The result is that they are always super busy and have a hard time getting away long enough to clear tables for new parties or process checks.
All in all worth the trip, just be sure to build in lots of extra time.“

“Chin, the owner greeted me and gave me personal advice on what items I should try. He found out that I liked veggies and he brought me a side of veggies for free. The Kungpao chicken (spice level 3) was phenomenal! I loved that they served the egg roll with a sweet and spicy sauce, and brought me extra hot mustard for dipping too! I will definitely come back soon!“

“The food was good the only problem is that I was missing my other half of the plate 😅 I ordered teriyaki and orange chicken, it was already too late I was already at work when I opened my plate and saw that I was missing the teriyaki chicken and only had some pieces of orange chicken, but other than that everything was good.“

“I really do appreciate good customer service, but the young woman behind the counter went above and beyond. She not only suggested I add their app to my iPhone to get a 20% discount, but patiently helped me do it when I was fumbling with the process. She saw as sweet as can be, and unfortunately I did not catch her name. I return to that’s spot at least once a month for a lunch break while at work in the La Jolla area. With excellent customer service and food, why wouldn’t I?“

“The food was AMAZING! Authentic Chinese dishes done with so much care. There was something for every person with vegetable dishes or seafood and of course, tons of rich meat dishes. Every item I grabbed was absolutely fantastic and even my three year old ate everything that was given to him. The server on the buffet line was very attentive and remembered when we requested a dish that just ran out and would make sure to reach out to us when a new batch came through. It was so thoughtful and thay extra step is what demonstrates the care in this restaurant. If you want to try a ton of different Chinese dishes without committing to a full plate, this is the place for you. Can't wait to come back!“

“Quick service, tasty food and very friendly staff. We were offered a sample of the iced tea, which we enjoyed so much that we decided to buy one. We accidentally picked up the wrong flavour, and the staff member was so observant that they noticed and pointed it out to us straight away. “This place so super clean and the the food was amazing. Plenty of tables to eat and close by other options if you have a family like mine that can't agree on one type of food. I ate the Thai dunking noodle Veggie protein level 10 spicy with a strawberry Lemonade...And im was sooo satisfied with this dish. The Lemonade was freshly squeezed and perfect 👌. I got it as take out but the portion size was large and everything was truly perfect. The young lady who took my order was super kind and very informative of the food in question and very welcoming. “A Shanghai-style home cooking small-plate buffet. We went on a Sunday and it was 28 per person. The selection is rich and varied, with dishes stir-fried fresh and served hot. Spicy dishes are optional and can be chosen based on your preference.

There are also dim sum, soy milk, and sweet rice wine glutinous rice balls available. New dishes keep coming out throughout the meal — not everything is offered at the same time — which makes it fun to try different items.

Overall, it’s great value for the price and definitely a place you could come back to often.“

I was behind a large family ordering a lot of food. It was the end of the night, and they had to remake a couple of things for my order. No biggie I didn't mind waiting.
But because I had to wait so long for my food they gave me a free drink and a small discount. thank you for having such considerate workers“

“This place is so cute and the food is wonderful! Desiree (almost positive that’s her name) was kind and attentive and her suggestions were spot on! The salmon hash was fresh and delicious and the gluten free options were actually very good. They are good with food restrictions! Would love to go back if we were locals. The only negative is that the inside gets quite loud. So glad we stopped in!“

“The Boba drinks are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

I have had their mango special first and loved every drop. It tasted like a mango yogurt. Very light, taste and sweet.

Second I had the watermelon cream and loved everything especially it's presentation. For 7 dollars you really walk away impressed with it's massive size. they decorated it with a watermelon slice.

The watermelon slice is a great touch!“
