“good service the cheese and flight worked out“
“This place has a great varieties of wines and has a warm welcoming atmosphere!“
“Wine was surprising(in a great way). Challenging if you want it to be but so accessible at the same time. Very true to the grapes, pinots were smoky not ripe but keep the garnet fruit in play, sparkling was crisp with small bubbles and great finish without being simple, rosés were dry and decent minerality while still preserving the fruit and mouthfeel.
All around great experience. Crystal was helpful and knowledgeable having grown up in the industry with her father. She knows the region so well.
They have something for everyone. Brut rose, grenache rose, north slope pinot 2020 barrel select pinot, and radian pinot were the standouts.
Also they have snacks and theres a cheese shop next door that you can grab pairing from and they will even help you pair them if you ask reslly nicely ;).
Best way to try it all is to do one of each tasting.
For a valley already steeped in pinot exellence alma rose is a standout with the convenience of a property and a downtown tasting room that hasnt quite figured out that it could be charging way more so get in there now!“
“One of the best wineries in Solvang. Quaint and modern, bar seating and indoor lounge vibe with outside fire pit tables. Always delicious. If you are looking to join a wine club the Consilience is our pick. Always reliable and very yummy. Like most of Solvang they are dog friendly.“
“If you're planning a trip to Solvang, do yourself a favor and make The Sanger Family of Wines your first stop. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. It was, without exaggeration, the highlight of my birthday weekend.
I've been coming to Sanger every time I visit Solvang, and it's always a must for me. The wines are consistently outstanding, and the tasting room atmosphere is pristine. Elegant yet welcoming. But this visit was on another level. Our group of nine showed up without a reservation, and instead of turning us away, we were welcomed with warmth and grace. Eddie, who led our tasting, deserves endless praise. He didn't just pour wine, he created an experience. From his deep knowledge to his thoughtful pacing, he made my birthday feel truly special. It was my first time having Eddie as a guide, and he has set the bar sky-high.
As if that weren't enough, we also had the privilege of meeting Bill Sanger himself. Not only is he the owner, but he radiates the passion and heart behind this family of wines. He greeted us like old friends, and it was easy to see how his heritage and vision have shaped this incredible tasting room and the Mediterranean-inspired wines they produce.
Every pour told a story, each wine was distinctive, memorable, and beautifully showcased the Central Coast terroir.
I've done plenty of tastings up and down California, and I can say with confidence: nothing compares to what we experienced at Sanger Family of Wines. Between the world-class hospitality, the exceptional wines, and the unforgettable personal touches, this is a place I'll be recommending to everyone I know.
If you're on the fence about where to taste in Solvang, don't be. This is where tradition, passion, and hospitality converge. Book a tasting, ask for Eddie, and prepare to be blown away.“
“Natalie was a great host and the wine was delicious. We left with a bottle. 😊 🍷“
“Just a great vide Friendly Very good wines Not a wine drinker but the red was excellent“
“Lucas & Lewellen offers four different wine tasting options, and—because they’re merciful—you can even mix and match. The wines are decent, with Costa del Sol standing out enough that we actually bought a couple bottles, which is the wine-tasting equivalent of true love.
The vibe is family-friendly, pet-friendly, basically everyone-friendly… except maybe the staff. They weren’t exactly rude, but let’s just say “warmth” wasn’t really on the tasting menu.
Still, good wine in Solvang plus a place where your kids and your dog can both tag along? Hard to complain—though, to be clear, I still will.“
“Great Wines, Great People, Great Times , Happy New Year 🥳“
“I first visited in 2010 during a Stagecoach wine tour. Jeff and his wine were equally amazing. I joined his club that day and remain a member today.
We have since returned several times for tastings and visiting with the horses on his ranch. Each visit has been exceptional. This week we spent a night in the guest house, which is available for rent. The accommodations were excellent, and only overshadowed by Jeff and Joanne's hospitality and generosity. Jeff spent hours riding with my daughter and providing her with invaluable education and training.
If you are considering a wine tasting in Buellton or Solvang, you should go on a tour with Stagecoach and request a visit to Bella Cavalli. If you are looking for a great place to stay in the area, I cannot recommend Bella Cavalli more strongly.“
“We visited Lincourt without a reservation hoping we might be able to get a spot and were welcomed so warmly. Julian served us and had such deep knowledge of the wine and history of the winery. We had a bottle of the Courtney chardonnay and it was bright and crisp, perfect for a hot afternoon. Julian was so kind and helpful and we enjoyed the comfortable seating, great and quick service, and calm atmosphere. This place is a perfect place to visit, a bit off the beaten path for SB wineries and a smaller and more intimate experience, which is exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.“

“The wines were incredible, both the reds and whites, which is rare to find at one winery. The tasting room had a great vibe, shaded and overlooking the main road in Solvang. Janet was super knowledgeable and answered every question we had about the wines and grapes. Highly recommend!“
