The service is good, they are attentive. We placed an online order and ordered 20oz horchata, we noticed it wasn’t filled all the way but we didn’t make much fuss to them but we just briefly commented amongst ourselves. Went we went out the door then one of the staff members chased us out to the parking lot and gave us a small cup of Horchata. They go above and beyond to satisfy you!! Keep up the good work! :)“

“A great place to eat with family, plenty of options, wonderful service, fairly priced menu, and delicious quality, this was my first time trying So-Cal Mex, and I must say it was definitely a magnificent experience, especially with my family.“

“Stopped by Cochina 1912 in Santa Paula for the first time and this place has a great vibe. Right on Main Street in a historic building from 1912, you can feel that old-school charm with the exposed red brick and clean, cool interior.

Ordered a big bowl of posole — seriously a huge portion and packed with flavor. Couldn’t even finish it, but it was on point. The chips and salsa were solid, and they’ve got a whole lineup of hot sauces. Tried them all — mild, medium, hot, extra hot — and honestly the mild ended up being my favorite. Still full of flavor without overpowering everything else.

Downtown Santa Paula keeps getting better with spots like this popping up. Definitely a chill place to hang out and grab a good meal. I’ll be back.

There were LOTs of choices available for me. The food was high quality and did not taste salty like a lot of Mexican food. “Legit street tacos. Authentic flavor for barbacoa, cabeza, and lengua tacos. I ordered the babacoa plate to go and the rice and beans tasted just like my mom makes. The barbacoa was savory, herb-y, and tender. They were selling these big avocados at the counter for only a dollar, I bought one and they offered to slice it up to add to the tacos I ordered to eat in. Warm and welcoming owners. Great food.

“The food here never disappoints, hands down the best Mexican food in camarillo. The young gentleman in his late 20s early 30s which may be the owner is always nice. The other cashiers don't expect anything. The salsa oh boy you're in for a treat. The red sauce is spicy but so flavorful and my wife loves the habanero. Quite honestly they could make millions just selling thier sauce.

Order ahead and use thier website as this place is popular and there is a great reason why. The location is a little challenge to get to but trust me you will not regret the adventure any who my favorite is the Asad burrito. They are always consistent with it and the red salsa takes it over the edge. Ive yet to have a bad food experience there.“

“As a frequent customer I had my first disappointing meal here. Rice and beans were really dry and the whole #10 combo was only warm in temperature. This is not the norm and had I not been seated against the wall between people I would have gone up to the counter for a re-do. I’m kicking myself for not doing that because my leftovers were better after I heated them up later in the day.“

We were just visiting but I look forward to coming back here again when I’m in the area.“
