I’ve had mushrooms added previously but when they’re busy, it’s not okay. I always tip 18-20% and even more yesterday when I somehow accidentally added an extra item to a personal pizza and was refunded.When you only get a measly 6 jalapeños as your second item, are a few mushrooms gonna be a huge deal? “We have some heavy hitters for good Italian food here in Santa cruz. So it's hard to judge one as my favorite. “I was lucky enough to live in both San Diego and Chico and both cities have a Woodstocks. Now when I'm in Santa Cruz I always make sure to stop by this Woodstocks location to get my fix. This location is cool because it has a large patio with a ton of TVs to watch sports. The pizza is always awesome but remember to get the wildebread. This location is always pretty busy so maybe consider going during the off times.“
“The pizza I ordered was a 14" vegan cheese with vegan pesto. I loved how light the cheese was, with a solid crunchy crust as well. It's a nice place to sit down, not the craziest price but about $23 for a pizza. Their homemade cheese is what sets them apart from other restaurants. Worth it!“

“We went out to eat with friends at Lago Di Como Ristorante in Santa Cruz. It's a nice Italian place that serves really good food, including pasta they make right there. We started with polenta sticks for an appetizer, and they were really tasty and super crispy. For our main dishes, we had steak cooked medium-rare, which was done just right, and grilled fish that was very fresh and delicious. “Couldn't reserve on Valentine's day, so we ate there on the 15th. The Val-day menu was still available, so we shared the last black truffle pizza, w. a cheese base flecked with small bits of truffle. Then the server shredded truffle slices over the top--OMG--$65 and worth every penny! (Regular pizzas range from $17 to $26.) For starters, we split an arugula salad and a vegetable side (brown butter braised cabbage--even if you hate cabbage, you'll love this). For dessert, we shared the affogato. The chocolate was molded and formed against the side and bottom of the cup, then they poured espresso into the cup. Superb. I said to my husband, "This tastes like Valrhona." You know you have an outstanding server when you ask which brand of chocolate was used. Zach answered, "Valrhona." I use this superb variety for every chocolate dessert I make.“

We were treated with incredible hospitality from the beginning- someone (maybe the GM, I’m not sure his role) chatted with us while we waited and we immediately felt at ease and even more excited about the meal we were about to have. “The employees are efficient, kind, and nice. Sadly, the pizza was not really good. It's not horrible, I just don't see me needing it again. Naturally, I didn't try every possibility, so maybe there is one that would be a huge success. The 'runny' cheese on my kids' pizza was a turnoff. They didn't enjoy the thicker pizza crust or the fact that it was served in squares because they were still children. But you know, that's just kids. Excellent location for a quick and filling piece of pizza, but if flavor is your first priority, you might want to explore a bit more.“

“Nice location, comfortable fun setting with fun live music. The owner is oddly rude, I ordered a wine flight, she seemed annoyed we were there but served us. I just thought maybe it was busy so didn't think much of it. She brought out our drinks and my flight good but wouldn't tell us what was in each glass. At first I thought maybe the rudeness was a joke, but no just didn't want to tell us what I was drinking. I was hoping to order a glass of one of the ones I liked but the owner was so rude we decided to just leave and move on. Very odd and disappointing. Maybe it was just a bad day.Update: thanks for the reply. We didn't realize how the blind flight worked and it was busy near closing so I guess we didn't pursue it too much. “I had the Pesto Gnocchi. Now I know why people like gnocchi. Amazing! They were so light, little clouds of potato and ricotta in a cream sauce. The sauce was delicious and not too heavy. I also got their simple green salad. It was very simple but the olive oil in the dressing was very nice. Whenever I eat something rich I like the freshness of something green and this worked perfectly! I will be back!“

“OK Mangiamo, here it goes. First time I tried their Pizza I didn’t care for it and I think it was because it doesn’t fit neatly into a traditional pizza bucket. It’s not New York style, too thick. It’s definitely not Neapolitan, too much sauce and everything else. Not Greek, crust is more pie crust like than the heavy Greek doughy crust. It’s not Chicago as the toppings are on top. Mangiamo does something all their own. It has a crust like a Chicago, spicy sauce like nobody, and thickness level that seems just right. The combo sans olives is my go to. They still have their own delivery which I love. I swear one night I had a pizza in my hand 20 minutes after I called it in, piping hot and delicious. It’s also nice to see local kids getting these delivery jobs. Enjoy!“
