“My #1 personal go-to spot in Santa Cruz for amazing flavor and hefty portions, the doner here is the best I've ever had! I haven't been able to enjoy Nick the Greek since I tried Arslans, the difference in quality is night and day.I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who has not yet made the trip here.10/10, would recommend.“
“Disclaimer: I’m a NJ pizza purist so I have a palette that is harder to please. My friend was here a decade ago before her move to NJ and had incredibly fond memories of this place. I’m down to try local chains so we walked in after meandering the boardwalk. It was different to me that you would order and then sit but I liked how much faster that should be. I got a CO cider and we sat down. I was honestly surprised how long it took for our pizza to come out. There was a huge table in front of us that got like 5 pizzas so I’m assuming that backed them up. Once it came out tho it was piping hot and honestly that matters a lot more. We got half garlic chicken and half cheese. It was smart because I got to try their red sauce too. I’m not saying that Woodstock’s is trying to immediate east coast pizza, but it wasn’t there. The crust is incredibly thin and has 0 structure to hold the toppings. I loved how they rolled the end of the crust over the sauce as I usually just give that part to my dog back home. The white sauce is miles ahead of the red but both are fine.“If I moved here, this could itch the pizza craving”Vegetarian options: They have gluten free and veggie options. Also a build your own pizza.Kid-friendliness: It’s a pizza place with fountain drinks.“
“Dharma's is one my family's favorite spots for a healthy, filling and delicious meal. Portions are generous and the food is always fresh and made with so much care. Favorite dishes include the HUGE garden salad, American Saute' and the raspberry tart for dessert. I always recommend it to visiting friends as well!“
“Was visiting Santa Cruz for the day and we went here for lunch. We ordered their House Special fried rice, meat stuffed eggplants and a Cantonese mixed vegetable stir fry. The food was delicious! Having visited China regularly, the food we ordered here was very authentic! The food was made very quickly and the staff was extremely friendly. Highly Recommend if you’re in the area.“
“This place has a walk-up window out front to place your order and a pick-up window inside their enclosed, heated outdoor seating area. Rush hour on a Saturday night, but we still found seating quickly. We had Spicy Dan's and Pad Thai, both were delicious and filling. I appreciate that they are no longer serving beef due to sustainability issues.“
“This taqueria is a solid choice when the mood arises for a dependable chicken enchilada, or, a flavorful shrimp taco. The staff are always upbeat and on point, no matter the time of day! It tends to be quite busy around lunch and dinner times, however, the wait for the food is never more than a few minutes.Side note: I always enjoy listening to the music that they have playing from the back kitchen! They have some good singers on staff!“
“I feel like there’s an unwritten bay area vegan rule that if you see a GATS sticker or tag, the place is solid - this spot has 3 so you know it’s real, lol. For reals though this is a go-to for my wife and I, the crew are always so damn kind and they have mad vegan options. Come get you a not-chicken sandwich (don’t be an idiot and come here and get upset it isn’t real meat), some fries with vegan ranch, and any of the drinks- they’re all good. Then post up on the patio and chill. Also if they have the pistachio praline soft serve: do it. Twice. Not a giant menu but they don’t need one… everything on it is good.Dietary restrictions: Vegan / Vegetarian only restaurant, the staff is always on point making sure you get what you ordered if you didn’t want the dairy version (thanks guys)“
