“Try to get here as early as you can! I got here probably at 9.40 AM-ish. Definitely a pricey pastry BUT worth to try (and come back to). Probably one of the best croissants I’ve ever had in LA. Flake to perfection, inside is very buttery soft and fluffy. Atmosphere is very cozy and nice to work.“

“I placed an order online, and went to pick it up. It's difficult to find a parking spot!! I went inside, and found the place for online order pickup. A few people in that line, and after showing my order confirmation, it was about a 5 minute wait. But the line for dine in was really long! And there is a reason! IYKYK.?“
“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“
“This is a small cafe in a medical plaza. There are minimal seating but they do provide some additional seating in front of the pharmacy inside the building! We arrived a little after if opened and there were already many people ahead of us! We tried the chocolate strawberry banana waffle as well as their egg deluxe croissant. They were fairly priced! They were both delicious though I wish I had asked them for a crispier waffle. Their service was just as expected for a small cafe making everything to order. We waited about 10-15 minutes. We would definitely come back to try their bagel deluxe!“

“I ordered the chicken fried steak and it tastes was savory,fresh and crispy. The gravy was smooth, creamy and not so salty. The service is very responsive and respectful however this place does get packed so expect a wait time. Ambiance feels like a hole in the wall type dinner as the location is in between many other shops in a shopping area. Well worth the wait.“

“Come here all the time. Food portions are very generous and the coffee here is great. A bit on the strong side at times but you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. The breakfast burrito, crepe, French Toast combo, and of course their açaí bowls are my favorites. They make a pretty hearty breakfast sandwich as well.Because their portions are big, don’t come here expecting to pick up fast food. The service is not slow. These people work hard to get your food orders ready accurately but wait time for your meal could be anywhere from 10-18 minutes. But when I tell you it’s worth the wait, trust me. I come here before work and order ahead for my lunch breaks.Staff is of course always great and friendly.“
“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

I'd say this shop is a little pricey, but if you sign up for their rewards programs the points stack up past and you'll be getting a free drink or food item before you know it. I love that this coffee shop always has friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere. Also has some outdoor seating if you want to bring your pup!!“
“Love this local sandwich shop with a bit of history, amazing staff, and delicious food! Not typically a sandwich person, but this place is definitely working on changing my mind! The tri-tip sandwich, available on Thursday and Friday only, is amazing, nice smoky flavor and melted cheese, works just so well. The Hey Joe sandwich is great any other day of the week if you're a meat lover - pastrami, roast beef, and a hot link! Give them a go and support, my favorite type of restaurant to support, cheers!“

“Hidden away in a small shopping center J & A's is very easy to miss, being next to a water fill station and some sort of wooden sculpture store is never open. This cozy little place has a great atmosphere and the staff is very kind. Your coffee cup rarely goes empty. The food is very good and they have a variety of options to choose from. Great place for seniors to take advantage of the specials. Generally you will pay between $15-20 dollars per person but it is worth it. This place is a CASH ONLY location so be sure to bring it.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is right at the entrance and plenty of tables with chairs.“
“This is a small place, but a small place with so much heart. One of the highlights of my annual business trip to Pasadena. Great coffee, breakfast food, deli sandwiches, beer, wine, etc. I once got a Cordova breakfast burrito every day three days in a row and love every second of eating it. ATM says 2.75 fee but when I checked my bank they took an additional fee of 2.50 that’s a $ 5.00 inconvenience charge to your customer just for choosing to eat at your restaurant. Not worth it.“
“Came to try this out with my 3 kids and it was incredible. The grilled cheese was on point, and my kids devoured it. I asked for a recommendation for a not so sweet ice i coffee and the barista told me to try a caramel ice coffee. REALLY good! Also got some chocolate cake for desert. I'll be back to try every item on the menu lol. Also, I found a new life hack (if I'm late, I'm sorry). Bringing toddlers to the mall before the stores open is not only free, but the toddlers can explore all the shops without causing a ruckus!“
“I stopped by randomly at night, and it was empty. The decor was nice and vibrant. With lots of anime stuff, which is awesome to me as an Otaku. I ordered the mango passion fruit lemonade. It was made quickly and to perfection. The level of sweetness to tartness was spot on. The lady asked me to taste it before I left to ensure I liked my drink. I told her it was perfect. This particular location has had many tea owners inhabit it, but hopefully, this place is around for a long while. I wanna try lots of other delicious drinks!“
“It’s looks so good and tastes so good. To be honest I was a little overwhelmed by the many options on the menu couldn’t decide what to order. It was a weekend, the staff was very busy and I felt pressured to order quickly. But the staff stepped away to help make drinks and others’ orders. They are very fast paced. I ended up ordering Gavin’s sandwich, it was a nice breakfast option. I called and waited for someone to come back to the register to be able to take my order and it was just what I wanted. Glad I took my time to decide. I really appreciate the quality, very fresh and delicious. The latte was good as well! Although there was nice ambient music I couldn’t help but feel a little stressed out by the ordering system. That day they were really yelling out numbers loudly and repetitively for each customer to come pick up their orders from the front and not just once or twice but as many times as needed until the person went to go claim their order. This kind of killed the chill vibe for me. But overall nice food options and good quality like a gem at this town square I didn’t expect it. Even though I ordered something other than a crepe I wasn’t disappointed kuddos they are doing it right.“
“The staff was very polite and accommodating due to the rain. They were understanding that we wanted to take our time so we wouldn't have to walk outside in. The food was delicious and worth the price. The server explained that the Huntington Tea comprised of tea size sandwiches, but when it arrived, my fiancé and I were astonished at the amount of food they give you, in addition to the tea and glass of Prosecco. We needed to take our time as everything was very filling. We highly recommend it, just don't eat before like we did“

“Such a joy! This shop is truly special. The house made almond milk is outstanding. Every pastry I tried + the almond butter toast was delicious. I was visiting from out-of-state to record some music nearby and Heath (a barista) learned my name on day 1. I visited 3x during my trip, and everyday I was welcomed by name and served with such kindness and sincerity. I had to leave with some merch (love the aesthetic)! I’m looking forward to the next time I’m near Los Angeles. Absolute gem.“

“Superba is an excellent breakfast/Lunch spot. You cant go wrong with anything on their menu and their baked goods are some of the most delicious around. Their madeleines and cookies are my two recommendations, especially fresh. My go to is their egg breakfast sandwich, but the breakfast burrito is also a must try. I recommend superba for a quick bite or a nice meal with friends, but not very many plugs for the internet cafe goers.“

My boyfriend visiting from Ireland said those were the best potatoes he’s had since visiting lolEverything was seasoned well and the burger was cooked just right. The staff were friendly and helpful, you order before you sit down.I went purposely on a rainy day and there was plenty of seating around 1:00pm in the afternoon. “Was in the Buena Park area and wanted to study/work at a cafe. I went to both Stereoscope and Smoking Tiger, and both places were completely packed. People were literally sharking for a place to sit. I remembered that I had passed by this place before, so I decided to head here and see if there was anywhere to sit, and thank goodness there was! While there is ample seating available, the place is definitely busy as well. There is a mix of people who are there to study, others who are there to catch up/hang out with friends, and those who are just there to grab a coffee to go.I ordered the New London, which is one of their signature drinks. After looking at the menu on my phone, I narrowed down my choice to either the New London or the Spanish latte and then actually asked the worker which one he thought was better and he suggested the New London, so I went with it. The drink was pretty good. A bit expensive, as it was over $6, but I get why they charge more if it's specialty coffee and people might stay for some time to use their space to study/do work.Other things I like about this place as a study/work spot include the fact that there are some seats where outlets are available, which is really hard to find these days. Wifi is also available as well, and I had no issues with the connection. Restroom is clean, too.The only things that I feel are cons about this place is the fact that the seating/tables towards the back of the shop are impractical/uncomfortable and that there is only one tiny menu at the counter, so if you are waiting in line you wouldn't be able to see it until it is your turn to actually order. Best to look up the menu on your phone beforehand if you don't want to feel rushed.“
“The famous franchising local coffee shop. Many people gather in the morning while the lane is sometimes long and the seats may face the shortage of the seats. The coffee is generally good as I tried the vanilla Bean Flavored Latte. There is somehow a secret menu of the affogato named as the Summer's Macchiato! The espresso with the vanilla ice-cream scroop! That's great in taste and cheap in price. Plenty of parking here and have the curbside pickup option if using the App. Might try for the good items next time.“

“Came by for a study sesh with a pal Drink- -Cold Brew: it's very light. Pal appreciated it since it's 3p and we're drinking coffee and studying and also.. coffee runs through our veins... BUUUT I prefer it to be stronger. Also their lids are a bit drippy, or maybe only we got those lids?? Ambiance- -relaxed and comfortable whether inside/outside. There seem to be enough outlets, but it's a good mix of people studying/reading/working and people hanging out and it works! Worth a try though I know I haven't tried their food food just yet. Our cashier/server, Cindy, was amazingly helpful and friendly in recommending their best sellers so we opted for the Nutella-filled churros and just a plain soft serve to pair with it. The churros were made so fresh it was crisp and soft (not to mention so much thicker than I expected them to be) that pocketed the right amount of filling as it didn't make a big mess when taking a bite. The soft serve was just as good when Cindy handed it over, it was swirled pretty high and tall (not pictured as I immediately dug into that one). The ambiance of this place was friendly and moderate, I want to thank Cindy for making the rest of our night great with her service. I would recommend saving this spot for late night sweets!“

But you just found out Anthony Bourdain is buying a house in Vietnam and now Saigon has become a must-travel destination? Quynh Nhu Cafe is the answer. Sit out in the covered "patio", chain-suck your pack of 555's, wear your flip flops and you can almost smell the smog in Hochiminh City. Except here, you get real chairs, real proper tables, and.. WTF? LCD TV? Broadcasting NBA basketball? OMG! This country somehow gentrified an ethnic street cafe. So sad, too bad. 2 cafe sua da was gold-diggin' $10 after a very modest tip. Cuz you know, this ain't no DV2, cafe Temptation, Cafe Lu.. Not that I visit those "premium coffee" destinations in Wet-min-tuh PS: Good for Kids: "No". Unless you want them get lung cancer at 9 PPS: don't start poppin' pix with your big a** camera. The natives get really restless.
