“Empanash is literally a hidden gem. Google maps took me to the parking lot nearby and there is no large signage for the place so it took a minute to locate it nestled in a little alley between other shops, but its cant-miss dining! I ordered all the vegetarian empanadas and also the Cinner Sweet desert empanada. They were all incredible and delicious! The staff was so friendly and genuine, I could tell they really enjoyed creating such delicious meals to share with others. Will be going back here for sure on future Tahoe visits!“

“Super friend staff and amazing food! Everyone was so friendly and helpful but, most importantly, the food was SO good! My husband and I both got different omelets and both were so good. We ate until we were beyond stuffed because the food was THAT good! He got a Bloody Mary that was one of the best I’ve had out here and I got a mimosa. Perfect little brunch atmosphere and set up! ❤️ You can not visit Lake Tahoe and pass this honey up!“

The service was attentive enough and the decor felt traditional and homely which we liked. The portions are large (as expected!) but we were given a box to takeaway our leftovers. My Family and I have been going to Tahoe for all of our lives and somehow we have missed this A+ Chinese Restaurant.

We were in the mood to try something new, and we decided on Chinese food. After we did a search on google, Hunan Garden caught our eye. With a wide range of food from hearty soups to flavorful dishes of rice, orange chicken, chow mein, shrimp (tons of different variations) and the list goes on!

The service was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask for drink refills, our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything.

From the time we placed our order to receiving the food was fast. When it comes to portion sizes Hunan Garden doesn’t hold back. We order a variety of things to try out. We are a family of 5 but when the food came, it look like they were serving an army ?. The food tastes as good as it looks. Everything was cooked to perfection!

You can tell the workers have a lot of pride in what they do. Waiters giving A+ service, the cooks making amazing dishes, and to the busser making sure the restaurant is spotless and it was!

If you’re looking for an amazing Chinese restaurant look no further because Hunan Garden Restaurant is everything you’re looking for and more!“

“Will start off by saying the food was great! However the hostess was another story. Recwntly had dinner on 8/11/24. The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.“

“Erin did a fantastic job on our wedding cake and cupcakes! We wanted a little something different (a very deep burgundy vintage heart cake) and she blew it out of the water! I have always felt like cake just tastes like, well, cake haha. But the cake Erin made was genuinely SO GOOD. We received so many compliments on our cake. The cupcakes she made were gluten free and those got tons of compliments too! Would highly recommend Tahoe Love Bakery!“

“Great local pizza place. We ordered a supreme and cheese pizza and a Caesar salad. We got our order to go and they were fast and the quality of the pizza was good. The lettuce on the Caesar salad was wilted and seemed like it had been sitting in the heat which may have just been us getting it for takeout. The dressing on the salad seemed homemade and we enjoyed it.“

“Absolutely in love with this restaurant! They are incredibly dog-friendly. We were even able to order a special meal for our pup. The menu has drinks named after the staff’s dogs, which we thought was such a fun touch. The whole place has a cozy, treehouse vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. They took wonderful care of us and even surprised our dog with free treats.

The food was delicious, the service was lightning fast, and despite being busy, they seated our party of five (plus a dog) immediately without a reservation. I’ll be back every time I’m in town!

A few extra notes: parking is limited, but free street parking is available nearby. Plenty of vegetarian options, and you must try their biscuits!! They’re unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!“

“My husband and I *landed* at The Landing on the last week of May 2025, out of complete happenstance! We started out our honeymoon at The Post Marc Hotel, after seeing 4-5 rooms, each in worse condition than the last, we kindly requested a refund and left. We had no idea what to do, our honeymoon was off to a rocky start, but little did we know The Landing had us covered! We saw they had good reviews and decided to walk inside and see what it was like! We were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and outgoing staff members Charles and Serafina! They listened to our story, empathized with us, and were able to get us an amazing deal on a room! They let us walk around and take a look at it before we purchased which was much appreciated and helped in our decision making! And Charles even made sure we had a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay to “help start the honeymoon out right”, I mean what a sweetheart, so thoughtful and kind! Charles and Serafina truly made MAGIC happen for us and we could not be more grateful to them. They are the reason we had a wonderful honeymoon and we are just so thankful. After getting us situated in a fabulous room with: heated floors, heated toilet seats, jet tub, dual shower, fireplace and patio complete with mountain & lake views, we were told all about, all the perks of staying at The Landing! They have a shuttle that can take you or pick up anywhere in the local area, they had a lovely heated pool and spacious jetted spa, and we were given free beach passes to a private section of the beach! Everything was wonderful! Stephanie & Mel at the front desk checked on us each morning to see how our stay was going! From the quick and attentive housekeeping, to Kevin the wonderful conversationalist bell hop & shuttle driver, to server Aaron’s 5 star room service from Jimmy’s restaurant, even down to the little coffee kiosk in the lobby loving filled with hot chocolates, apple ciders and toppings—everything was perfect!!! And everyone made sure our experience was top notch, the hospitality was unmatched! We had such a nice time that now we won’t stay anywhere else in Tahoe, this is our new go to spot! If you have absolutely any hesitation about booking with The Landing—DON’T! When you’re at The Landing, you are truly in safe hands, with a warm and attentive staff that genuinely cares about your time there. Thank you to everyone at The Landing for providing the most incredible honeymoon experience! We will definitely be back!
