“Empanash is literally a hidden gem. Google maps took me to the parking lot nearby and there is no large signage for the place so it took a minute to locate it nestled in a little alley between other shops, but its cant-miss dining! I ordered all the vegetarian empanadas and also the Cinner Sweet desert empanada. They were all incredible and delicious! The staff was so friendly and genuine, I could tell they really enjoyed creating such delicious meals to share with others. Will be going back here for sure on future Tahoe visits!“

We ate until we were beyond stuffed because the food was THAT good! He got a Bloody Mary that was one of the best I’ve had out here and I got a mimosa. “6 of us had a superb meal. The server was attentive, but forgot to mention the rolls had powdered garlic after I had told him I had a intolerance of Powdered and dried garlic.. I ordered the Lobster ravioli, which was an appetizer, for my dinner and a dinner sized portion was served. It was delicious and I devoured the whole dinner. Will come again when we are in the are.“

We thought the host of the cafe was attentive and friendly alongside Francis - she’s a very warm, attentive, and loving lady who also recommended us to try their special Eggs Benedict.

The Waitress took our order for us starting with coffee, Eggs Benedict, and Omelette with Ham and Cheese. Each meal served with hash browns, and mine came with an English muffin too.

We waited probably around 10-12mins, the Eggs Benedict came a bit later but not that much different from a wait.

What we loved about their breakfast, both weren’t too overpowering with flavours. And that we can simply add condiments when we want to.

The only downside was the coffee no kick of strong, bold and good flavour and aroma from the coffee - we felt just drinking flavoured drink. Also the ambience which can be a bit noisy around, especially, we came during the peak hours.

We want to give compliments to the staff, the cooks, and the overall service. We’re very pleased with the food. And special mention to Francis, her enthusiasm and energetic presence added value to the Red Hut Cafe.

“On our first visit to Tahoe we discovered Maggie's for dinner. Its cozy and intimate, boutique feel is a great atmosphere for a date night, anniversary or other special occasion. They have a good wine list and the sea bass and braised rib were wonderful! The menu isn't expansive but all the choices were very good, including the burrata starter. Service was friendly and attentive.“

“We enjoyed everything we were served here! From the shrimp Chow Fun to the Eggplant in sweet and sour sauce, the dishes were cooked perfectly. The spicy chicken wings were crisp and flavorful with just the right amount of spice from the Serrano peppers. The bok choi, broccoli, and veggies we had were fresh and nothing was greasy. The noodles were great and we enjoyed the different meats we ordered. They season things well and nothing is overly sauced.

“Erin did a fantastic job on our wedding cake and cupcakes! We wanted a little something different (a very deep burgundy vintage heart cake) and she blew it out of the water! I have always felt like cake just tastes like, well, cake haha. But the cake Erin made was genuinely SO GOOD. We received so many compliments on our cake. The cupcakes she made were gluten free and those got tons of compliments too! Would highly recommend Tahoe Love Bakery!“

“Excellent Italian dinner with family on a weekend in South Lake Tahoe. What a great discovery! Conveniently on the boulevard, with a free parking lot at the rear and along the window front. Fully wheelchair accessible from parking / sidewalk with ramp. Called in for a reservation late afternoon, took a table at 7pm. We went there mid October, although during shoulder season the place was packed and many families were on a waitlist. Greeted by friendly, welcoming front desk and seated within minutes by helpful usher (booth table at the window). Server welcomed us, provided menu/drink list and explained the daily specials. Ice water, our drinks, and bread with olive oil were quickly served while we selected our dishes. We shared two appetizers, followed by mains and desserts. What a feast, can't remember when I had Italian comfort food that good. Tasty, delicious, hot plates and big portions. Yummy! At a great pace of being served, absolutely not being rushed. High five, highly recommended!!!“

“While this restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, what they serve within is spectacular and a new family favorite. Appetizers were out in under five minutes and the main course within an additional five minutes. Food was hot and fresh. General Tsao was the favorite at the table. Even got a show of a couple bears outside in the dumpster.“

“Will start off by saying the food was great! However the hostess was another story. Recwntly had dinner on 8/11/24. The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.“

“Food is fine but nothing special. Service, drinks and atmosphere are very good! Pizzas are disappointing but the white pizza is definitely the best one and imo the only one worth the price. Sandwiches are good. The side salads are really good. Everything carries the "Tahoe tax" aka overpriced. Love the vibes and we come here often just to eat around the fire pits“
