Pastries and drinks are on the expensive side, compared to a chain like Peets and so on, but matches the quality, and I have seen more expensive for less quality.“

“This is hands down my favorite patisserie in town! You can tell they pour so much care and thought into every detail—from the presentation to the flavor profiles. The canelé is absolutely divine and keeps me coming back time and time again. Their cookies are also a standout—perfectly balanced, not overly sweet like most American bakeries. Every bite feels crafted to perfection.

Oh, and as for that lone one-star review about whipped cream? Really? Whipped cream? Clearly, some people just don’t know how to appreciate artistry when they taste it. This place deserves all the stars and more!“

“I have been to the 2 Little Tokyo locations and this one is definitely the winner! there’s a huge variety of pastries and things to eat for a quick bite (you might probably have to eat it standing or elsewhere during the weekends since it gets pretty packed and there’s just 3 tables!) but the steamed buns were good!, the matcha mochi wasn’t too sweet so it was perfect, the almond croissant was fine but their specialty is definitely on other pastries! will definitely come back again to try more stuff.“

Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

“There is a dearth of bakeries in Echo Park, so I'm glad Clark Street exists. There seems to be amazing bakers working hard in the back, and I am always happy to support local. That said, I was craving a solid Everything Bagel one day and it was pretty sub-par. I also tried the saffron-pistachio croissant, which sounds amazing, but was too sweet and just not..... that good.... I went back a different time and had similar experience with other pastries.

I had been getting instagram recommendations on my feed for a few months (even though I don’t live in CA), and I’m glad I decided to put this place on my list to check out before I left. I got the ube sesame bun and the cheese and ube pie and both of them were fantastic. I wish I lived closer so I could come back and try more items, to be honest everything on display looked unreal. “I attended a kids' birthday party and they had the most delicious cake ever. It was chocolate with a fresh strawberry center. The chocolate cake was so moist. The icing was light and delicate. This cake was talked about with everyone. We kept saying, "it's not too sweet," which is the best compliment you can say for a cake. I wasn't the one that purchased the cake but I definitely will now after this.“

My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

Donuts are super light and airy, they do not live you feeling super full and they are also not super sweet. Prices are also very reasonable.
We tried the breakfast sandwiches as well which and they were super delicious and filling. If you are hungry hungry I would recommend you get one.
The thai teas are nice too, I really liked the orange one.
Staff is also super friendly and will tell you about all their menu items as well as make recommendations.

“We needed a birthday cake on short notice, and thankfully, Patisserie Too had a 5” mango cake available. They also had a wide variety of personal size cakes in adorable animal themes (rabbit, dog, pig, penguin, and Hello Kitty). Our party really enjoyed the mango cake - it was the perfect sweetness level and full of flavor. Sweet enough to taste like a dessert but not overwhelmingly sugary. I was pleasantly surprised to find a slice of mango inside the cake. The mango texture was a fun contrast to its soft cake-y surroundings. The entire cake sat on top of a cookie base (shortbread cookie?), and the crunchiness of the cookie also enhanced the range of textures in this dessert!

The cakes were also well packaged. They taped down the personal size cakes we bought so that they wouldn’t slide around inside the box. This attention to detail and their friendly and helpful service overall made this a really pleasant shopping experience!“

I bought a turon and a pandan hopia, totaling to $2. Both were warm (not partially but warm throughout which suggest they were either made very soon before or were kept in a heated environment) and tasted super fresh. I preferred the turon; the outside was crispy and caramelized, and the inside tasted like a plantain but also had jackfruit umami. The layers were clearly defined and the texture was great. Comparatively the pandan hopia was not as sweet, but the filling was soft and gooey. It’s not really a dough-y or bread-y texture but in between bread and pastry, so it was quite unique.“

The polvorones, cinnamon raisin rolls, pink jelly coconut roll, and the mini cookies with sprinkles are my favourites here. The prices have been raised for the filled breads but it's better compared to other places. The place looks like it's kept clean and well maintained. The only bad thing about coming here are the homeless people asking for money all the time. + There's very limited parking sometimes it'll be empty and the next second it'll be full. Although, my daughter’s instructions was to include red melted chocolate on this rustic/vintage themed cake but they did NOT.
