“I am so glad I finally checked this place out. I agree with the other reviews that it is a bit pricey. After tax I paid $24.75 for the Chile relleno plate, and I still left a $2 tip being it was take out.
But they’re the most DELICIOUS CHILES RELLENOS I’ve ever eaten. There’s not one thing I can take away from this amazing dish. And I make them myself, but who wants to go thru all that work when you don’t have to? So for this, I actually don’t mind paying the price because not only was it delicious but for the work that’s involved with making the two chiles, tortillas (obviously handmade) and perfectly balanced beans (not from a can), it was money well spent. I can’t wait to go back. My son-in-law who is Mexican (while I am not) loves and gets their tortas so I know it’s a solid place. I think next time I’ll ask for a little more rice bc I love rice, but those chiles are the star of the show.
The atmosphere is fine, I didn’t stay in to eat. Bright colors on the walls and tables. The dining space is limited like the parking so plan on taking it to go. But I don’t care what the eating spaces look like as long as the kitchen is up and running 😂. For as much advertising as there is on the outside of this gem, I actually expected a bigger venue.

Basically, my 4 stars (computer wouldn’t go 4 1/2) is due to it being overall pricey, the limited parking (you might get blocked in while people run in to pick up their takeout orders) and limited dining area. Think small donut shop, even the cash register is sort of crammed into a tiny opening in the wall.
The hospitality is fantastic and the guy taking my order offered me every drink possible to make me comfortable. I always have time to admire and appreciate good hospitality. However the kitchen is the only space I care about 😂 and I can’t wait for you to try it out as well!”

“Walked in on Wednesday around noon and it was not busy. Our servers did great at attending us (in training servers) quickly and bringing out food promptly. Probably took 20 minutes for us to receive our food. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen with mild spice. There was no spice at all which so I would go up a level if you wanted it a little bit spicy. We also got the chicken fried rice which was very good. It was big enough to share between two people. the ramen was also shareable between two people. It was approximately $28 for two meals & one soft drink without tip. They give out free dessert mochi per person after order which was nice. They also have vegetarian options! The atmosphere was great. They had anime playing on the tv and they also had manga in English to read! Parking was easy and there was a lot of open spots.”

“Today I went to rodeo 39 in Garden Grove with some friends and I stumbled across Kra Z Kai's. It was my second time trying Laos barbecue. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.”

“My brother and I wanted to try a new ramen place and ended up here. The food itself was great as I got the bulduk ramen and tempura shrimp and my brother got the tonkatsu. It was all good until I wanted the check. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for a check. The front of staff was more concerned with the group next to us or being idle. I have pressed to call for a server multiple times and hearing the ping letting them know a table needed help but I could not get their attention. I only got my check after the table next to us asked for a check when I told them I wanted a check. I partly blame the system for not properly letting the staff know since the ping only went off for a server request but also for how unattentive the staff is to some other guests. We were at the corner of the bar.”

“After my husband and I picked up orders from Yoshinoya, we noticed a restaurant across the Beach Boulevard advertising takeout deals: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13, two California Rolls for $9.50, and a buy-one-get-one-50%-off deal on any rolls. So we decided to swing by and grab some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls to go a week later.

When we walked in, there was an Asian auntie and a young staff behind the counter. As we ordered, we got to chatting, and the auntie told us that she used to own a restaurant in Buena Park for 18 years before moving to Stanton in this location 7 years ago. (She might be the owner but I’m not 100% sure) She proudly assured us that everything the restaurant served is fresh and delicious. Just by looking at the neatly arranged ingredients at the sushi bar section, I could already tell this place is good.

We ordered the takeout special: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13. It was such a great deal, and they were indeed very delicious. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a refreshing hint of lemon. The bowls came with two slices of carrot, cabbage, and broccoli, along with a perfectly portioned amount of rice. Just as the auntie guaranteed , it was tasty and worth every penny. (If you dine in, there’s no discount. These deals are only for takeout.)

The menu offers a lot of variety. The lunch specials (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) seem like a steal. Here are some combos it offers as follows and we’ll definitely be back to try more.

Just last week, my friend and his family of seven came to visit Disneyland. They were craving for Asian food, so I picked up some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls from here and brought them to the park. As someone who willingly admits that she’s not the biggest fan of boba teas, I fully admit that I sometimes forget that boba shops do in fact carry other types of drinks. Knottea Cafe in Stanton, CA is exactly one of those shops that makes sure to have a decent variety of beverages to meet any visitor’s needs. They have everything from milk teas to smoothies to a build your own favor option, and of course, they have some wonderful coffee options for the bean lovers out there. A mere ten minutes away from Knott’s Berry Farm and twenty minutes from Disneyland Park, Knottea Cafe is a great pitstop on your way for a fun day at the amusement park.”

I also have a fear of really hot spicy food because it makes me sick. No problem here - the chicken was so delicious, and not "hot" spicy at all. Just a really great flavor. My friend ordered the same, and her reaction was the same. Great flavor, so tasty! The service was great too! But the very best part was the size of the serving - it was such a generous serving, I had to ask for a to-go container, and enjoyed it again later that day. Pho broth is good but I found the noodles to be a bit overdone. Would like them a bit more al dente. The “steak” is also a bit tough and I wish they wouldn’t bury it all on the bottom so it gets all cooked instead of being rare as advertised.

The inside is also HOT with no formal AC.

I decided to try a variety of flavors: red velvet, ube, Oreo, and peanut butter. Each cookie was a little piece of heaven.

The red velvet cookie was a delightful surprise—rich, moist, and perfectly complemented by its subtle creamy frosting. It had the signature taste of red velvet cake without being overly sweet, striking a balance that made me crave another bite.

Moving on to the ube cookie, I was thrilled to discover an authentic flavor that captured the essence of this beloved Filipino dessert. The vibrant purple hue was eye-catching, and the cookie itself was wonderfully soft, with a hint of nuttiness and a delightful sweetness that kept me wanting more.

The Oreo cookie was a familiar classic that Sweet Gs executed flawlessly. It was like a gourmet version of the iconic sandwich cookie—crispy edges with a soft, chewy center that perfectly mimicked the original while adding a homemade touch. It was indulgent without being overwhelming.

Lastly, the peanut butter cookie was a dream for any peanut butter lover. Rich and creamy, it was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of chewiness. The salty-sweet balance was spot-on, making it one of my favorites from the lineup.

In addition to the incredible flavors, I have to commend the texture of these cookies. Each variety had its own unique mouthfeel, from soft and chewy to a slightly crisp exterior. Sweet Gs clearly pays attention to the details, ensuring that every bite is an experience.

The ambiance at Sweet Gs was warm and inviting, making it the perfect pit stop. The staff was friendly and eager to help, enhancing the overall experience.

I'll start by saying the food here is amazing! You can never go wrong with any choice. Somethings that aren't to great are the pricing as it might be a couple of bucks more expensive than other places as well as other peruvian places I have been to sometimes give complimentary bread and a small soup as here you would have to pay extra for that. The other downside is the parking is horrible, there is about maybe only 16 parking spots (estimating) but half are probably taken by the workers from neighboring stores. So sometimes I can't get a spot or I have to park across the street or elsewhere. Not their fault, but just a heads up about the location wise.”
