“The best place to try Bosnian food! I can’t pick one favorite, from cevapi to pizza to pita , this food taste like homemade. All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “5 stars for weekday happy hour specials! Popped in before a show at Segerstrom. Made a reservation on Opentable and when we arrived at 5pm there was already a line forming for the happy hour section. We ordered the $16 flatbread and sips: pesto chicken flatbread paired with generous size cosmo martini. Also ordered from the $8 small plates special: goat cheese and 3 piece steak lettuce wraps. Service was fast and friendly, food served hot and generous in portion for happy hour. There used to be live piano entertainment - there wasn’t on the night we went. They were showing baseball playoffs that time. We will definitely return when we go to a show again!“

Corn dog breading was one of the best I’ve ever had!
The pizza was on delicious bread with fresh toppings and great cheese.

While their food shines, the service is where TMC really knocks it out of the park. Small selection of pastries, which are average, packaged protein bars and juice shots, and a few breakfast items on the menu. Will try one of those next time. 10/1 update: Tried the Turkey and Ham panini, very warm and delicious. Great with Cholula hot sauce. Oatmeal raisin cookie was okay as I don’t like raisins. 10/10 no notes would recommend.

10/8 update: Tried the Chicken Primavera Melt, bit tangy and as if you’re eating pasta in a panini form. I’d assume it would be even better with hot sauce but I was too lazy to grab it. Chocolate cookie was immaculate. 10/10 no notes, would recommend.“

“I came here right before closing (annoying, I know) looking for a chocolate bar I saw online called The Conscious Bar. Came for the chocolate, stayed for the story. I asked the owner too many questions about the shop and she patiently answered all of them explaining her vision is more than just to run a successful cafe but also to be a light in this community. I'll be coming back to try all the patries. It was very clean and comfortable inside too. Like an Oasis in the wilderness that is Valley View and Rosecrans.

UPDATE: I got the bottled honey oat latte and that was really good. Being lactose intolerant, it was nice to have something dairy free ready to grab and go instead of having to special-order it.

Also tried the blueberry cream cheese Cruffin. This is refrigerated because of the cream cheese I think. Cold croissants aren't usually that good, but this was light enough to enjoy cold and it has already been devoured, would get it again, but probably better with a hot drink. I bought a few more of the Conscious Bar chocolate bars.“

We got an assortment of pastries, so far the donut, Twix bar, and rugelach are amazing! “The last hidden gem in Costa Mesa. This easily tops waiting for chick fil a down the street. I let the cashier guide my order because I was too tired to come to a decision. He suggested the special which was wise of him because it includes 4 karage (tender fried chicken thigh) a potato croquette, 3 cali roll pieces and a salad with potato salad, excellent for a post 9 hour work day meal. My pregnant wife got the 5 piece karage and said it changed her life for the better. I didn’t take pictures because I was so in awe and in the moment. It was photo ready. The food comes out RIPPING hot. Which made us so comfortable eating there, especially pregnant knowing they make everything actually fresh to order, cooked to appropriate temperature to ensure food safety. Not just marketing fresh, there is nothing siting here waiting for you to order, this is not fast food. They tell you it’s going to take a few minutes and it’s worth the wait because they do not compromise on quality here. With that being said it’s not even that long and I will no longer be visiting chick fil a when this place is open and it’s much healthier.

“Komo Cocina is such a gem in Long Beach! The food was delicious, the cocktails were amazing, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Danny and Morgan were especially amazing and made the experience even better! ❤

Unfortunately, during our visit, there was a family being extremely loud, with kids running up and down the restaurant, which made it a little difficult to fully enjoy the atmosphere. That said, I know that’s not something the restaurant can necessarily control.

Overall, Komo Cocina is an amazing spot with great food, drinks, and incredible staff. I would absolutely recommend it, and I’ll definitely be coming back! 🌮🍹✨“
