“This is my absolute favorite Mexican spot. The service is best in class. The chips never run out, drinks never run dry, leftovers are boxed up, and dishes cleared as soon as they empty. Staff is wonderful, and they always remember us. Portions are bountiful, and the cooks are fast. I truly have zero complaints.“

“Stopped by for lunch since I was looking for some al pastor tacos and heard this place was a solid contender! Was definitely not disappointed as these were my favorite in addition to the carne asada as well as birria tacos! The truck is located in the parking lot of a gas station so parking can be a bit difficult sometimes but otherwise a great spot to try out. Can’t wait to try other items next time!!“

“I only first went here today. I had never walked past before today but I was hungry so I gave it a try.
First I tried two pastor tacos. They were very good.
Then I got a pastor burrito which is probably the best I’ve had.
Neither were at all greasy which is unusual for pastor.

Would be nice if they had seating but the pastor burritos and pastor tacos are incredible.“

“So, the recipes are long time family recipes. the Southern Mexico dishes are the ones to try! the red mole and the piping and pibil are amazing. The best red mole in my opinion. If you are watching Like Water for Chocolate, come check out some of the dishes in the movie! The Chile Nogada is good but I like it with Sour Cream on the side.“

“I'm gonna really regret letting everyone know about one of my favorite spots cuz then it's gonna be popular, BUT I can't hide this one, not only do I want to see their business thrive, but I have to tell the community about the savings to be had with this place. In a world 🌎 full of 75 dollars for 2 burger meals, we have La Mexiqueña, I can get 2 Super quesadilla plates, it's called Super Quesadilla on the menu but trust me, it's a plate, you get your delicious authentic rice and beans, your yummy salad with avocado, lettuce and tomatoes, and a big ol' quesadilla with your meat (or no meat) choice, it comes with corn or flour tortilla, the corn tortilla one is aaaamaaazing. Big slices of quesadilla loaded with cheese also. So let me tell you, I got 2 of those orders okay, plus a tall size Mexican Coke... 34 bucks, ahahahahaha, 34 bucks!!!! And it filled us uP! “I was last weekend and i ordered a campechana and it was really good good size so i went back today and I did ordered the same unfortunately this time it was smaller. I understand everything is getting smaller and the price getting higher. Still excellent food“

“I’ve been eating at El Caminito twice a week (one lunch and one dinner) since 1998. I recently discovered a menu item I had not tried before, the chili relleno Del Mar. It is absolutely delicious! And whereas most of their dishes come with about a tablespoon of shredded lettuce with French dressing, this one has a proper side salad. I love French dressing and El Caminito is the only restaurant I found in the bay area that serves it, so to be able to get it on a real salad is a treat. The presentation is the most appealing of any of the dishes I have tried on their menu and the flavor is simply wonderful. The service is excellent (Hi, Stephany, Andrea, Gloria and Gabriela!) and prices are reasonable. They keep winning Best of Bay Area awards from the San Jose Mercury News and it’s easy to see why. They also have an excellent catering program, so get your company to hire them for your next function!“

“This place is quick and delicious. Their birria is def #1 for me followed up by their horchata. The carne asada tacos are good as well. I do not recommend the enchiladas though, they are more like tacos and are very dry. But there is always seating with shade.“

4.0 Super Asada Burrito (really flavorful hot, drop down in flavor if eaten cold unlike other burritos; overall its alright it matches the taste of Mexiqueña, but less greasy )

Edit: tried it again, the super asada burrito was a 4.25-4.5 wow, love that they have 5 different salsas (green avocado salsa, green tomatillo, red chipotle, red taqueria salsa, and orange-salsa-mayo sauce.

Edit: Hit or Miss. Chicken was not worth it. Do not get the Nacho Fries, they are so dry. I prefer Cato’s or Cheztacos“

“I love the pozole here. I come here often just for it. Service is great as is the food. The only thing is sometimes the music is blasting and if you have to sit under a speaker it can be a bit too much. But it's worth it for me for a great tasting pozole with a hearty amount of pork in it.“
