“This place is a sunset beach staple. Been going here for 25 years - well before it was redone. Our band played there when we got out of high school, and back then it was pretty rowdy. Peanut shells on the ground, the bar was falling apart, and the jukebox had CDs. While I miss the old "Mother's Beer & Wine", they did a nice job restoring it, and you can always count on a cold beer, a friendly bar staff, and cool patrons when you arrive. Peanuts are optional.“

“There's definitely a reason this place keeps coming up everywhere as number ones bartenders are nice with a touch of sass like you'd like at a dive bar, but it's elevated. The prices are pretty pricey, but for the love ingredients and originality of the cocktails I guess it's alright, but I'm not staying for more than two lol. We ordered 4 cocktails and two mocktails and it was about $100 so time to go home lol. They have yummy little snacks and overall we were happy with this new Long Beach spot.“

“I've passed by this place for two years and never wanted to go in , because it look like a dive bar with a bunch of old guys in it ! “We happened to find this restaurant today. Looked bright and welcoming. Lovely patio, you could sit in sun or shade….we chose shade. Friendly staff, excellent food. The lobster burger was divine and huge! Seriously, we could have shared one and still be stuffed. Definitely have to come back and try other delicious sounding items…like the lobster rolls!“

“Excellent Colombian brunch. The pork belly was crispy and well seasoned with just the right amount of fat. The selva steak and eggs plate was a great sampler of many of their dishes. The service is great and friendly. I had the carajillo coffee cocktail with brandy, which was good, but not my favorite. My other friends loved it though. Definitely recommend this place and will come again!“

“This was my 2nd time here. First time was for drinks and dessert which I loved so I decided to come back for a birthday dinner. We had no problems getting a table for 5 on a Saturday at 7pm. We were seated in the back room. The atmosphere was very Vegas lounge like. They even had a dj come in at 8pm to play. The service here was really nice. Food and drinks we loved too. Asian fusion style of menu. We tried 3 of the desserts and all 3 were soooo good. Definitely a place for date night or celebrating a special occasion. They even gave the birthday boy a little birthday gift. A must try for sure for all. =)“

“Dukes is simply a favorite of ours! Whether on the Islands, or now here in Huntington Beach, it’s a consistently great atmosphere, menu, and quality food and cocktails! The view of the Pier is fantastic and we loved feeling like we were on the Islands with the live music, hula dance performance, the Island vibe! We will always choose Dukes if we can!“

“This was my first time dining in after getting takeout a number of times.The spring rolls are definitely the stars here and are always fantastic! It's nice to order a few and share at the table. The shrimp and eggplant are my favorites.The main dishes are good as well and on par with some of my favorite Vietnamese places in the area.The deserts/pastries are a bit of a let down and I would save desert for another place. The macaroons were on the dry side and the macarons were too sweet for me.Service was friendly and informative.“

“After going to the Garden Amp for a concert, a group of us were looking for a place to grab and drink and a bite to eat. We found this place on Yelp and so we decided to give it a try. This place is in a industrial but the wife and I like dives so we came in. Unfortunately, the owner let us know that the kitchen was closed so I went out to inform our group. We decided to have a drink anyways but when we walked in Paula met us at the door with that huge smile and said that they could offer us a limited. We quickly ordered 5 burgers and fries. BTW, the buns are made there at Henry's, that is a nice and rare move for a small dive bar, right? The beer offerings were pretty decent. I had a Blue Moon and my friends had Fuzzy... something or other. I was laughing and talking so I don't know exactly. My wife did get the Cardiff Cab Sauvignon that was pretty decent. What makes a great dive bar is the crowd and this place had a great group. The table next to us was serenading the room with both Bolero's and some great country hits. Their fun was infectious. “I am a lover of Italian food! Overall the place was good. Everything seemed fresh and had good flavor. We ordered the burrata appetizer, which was decent. I appreciated that they had 2 types of gluten free pasta. They made the other pastas in house. Worth a try if you are craving Italian food and are in the area.“

“The food and drinks are always fabulous but the service is honestly what keeps me coming back. Literally the best service I’ve had at any restaurant and I go to a lot of high end restaurants. The best part they always remember me but, honestly I think it’s because my very large brown and white standArd poodle who actually sits in the both with me. Either way I love the waitresses there all so sweet and friendly and, I really enjoy the food and drinks. It’s my Tuesday night go to.“

“Fantastic view of the ocean! Belmont Brewing Co is located at the enttance of Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. I'm not sure if there's free parking in the area, but we parked in the parking lot next to the restaurant which is not free. Had to pay at the kiosk. This place serves american food and alcohol. Came here during lunch time with coworkers. They ordered alcohol and returned to work right after. I ordered the american style kobe burger. It was very delicious but be aware that it's not real kobe beef. Staffs were friendly and had a good meal here. Really nice restaurant by the beach. Would recommend eating here. It might be a little pricey, but you're next to the ocean.“

“First Timer and we enjoyed it very much. We live in the city but always drove by. We were glad we tried Slice. Very clean granite stove tables, waiter was informative, helpful and great service. “Visited Blvd Cocktails for the first time last night. My wife and I had a great time. The music was just right. The atmosphere was friendly and chill. They have weekly raffles. We bought $10 worth of tickets and won $50 at their 11:30 raffle drawing. Our bartender Alisa was awesome. She was welcoming, friendly, and made some great suggestions for our drinks. Alisa's friendly service is definitely a reason we will return for more drinks and to sample the menu.“

It was a bit cluttered. Lots of stuff that were sitting in piles all over the place. It seems like it should be in a storage room but maybe they are short on storage. Other than that, it was fine. The staff was great. Like I said, it is a big place but we did not have a problem getting drinks or food. I ordered the pretzel bites and a Nathan's hot dog Chicago style. “Unfortunately, we did not go there during Happy Hour. The food was still worth the price we paid for it. The cocktail I selected, the smoked Pink Dragon, was well prepared and delicious. “I've been to a lot of fancy steakhouses, and I can tell the difference between good quality meat, good flavoring, and good execution! Madera's rib eye prime steak was just that. It was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly! One of the best steaks I have ever had! Also tried their sausage with hatched chilies and it was just wonderful. We literally licked the plate clean! Yesterday, I got a carne asada wet burrito for lunch. OMG!!! Literally the BEST wet burrito I have ever had, EVER!!! The meat was so thick and tender and they do not skimp out on the meat. It's loaded with meat and a pretty big portion as well. I highly recommend any one who wants delicious food and a great environment for live music, to come to Maderas steakhouse! You won't be disappointed!“

I've been during the daytime for a latte in the sun, and I've been at night for an incredible dinner service. Needless to say, they have certainly nailed the nighttime vibe. Wonderful small plates, super yummy pizzas, creative and beautiful dishes. “Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm“

We ordered the Captain Combo at level 2 spice as the full house seasoning. It had crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, and mussels. Everything was well seasonsed. It was enough for the 4 of us. For drinks, they have a solid selection of soju, seltzer, and beer. I saw that they have beer deals. They have the option of head-on shrimp and peeled and deveined shrimps. There's plenty of free parking in the plaza. There's also plenty of seating for small or big groups.“

“I've been here a bunch, just realized I've still never written them a review, so fixing that finally. They are definitely a "neighborhood bar" first, cocktail bar second - it's a great chill vibe, the sort of place that's never too busy (at least when I've been there) and where the music is never too loud to be able to talk. Their bartenders are all great, and they have quality spirits and reasonably priced drinks. And they do *have* a cocktail list - but compared to, for instance, Wicked Wolf nearby, for similar prices, cocktails that aren't quite as complex or as exciting, necessarily, but they have all been great cocktails. I also particularly like that they have, at least at the moment, Buffalo Trace on hand, so I can put that in any whiskey cocktail for about the same price. On their current menu, I particularly liked the "Cameoi" (bourbon, basil, lemon, blueberry, hibiscus cider) and the "Conquistador" (corn vodka, frangelico, romepope custard liqueur - as-is, it's basically a drinkable dessert, which is great if you're looking for dessert, but it's also an easy drink to swap different spirits in - I've also tried off-menu versions with mezcal and with Buffalo Trace that were also great.) I have only actually gotten food here once, and it was a couple years ago - their flatbread was nothing I'd go out of my way for specifically, but it's definitely also something I'd be happy to order if I were hungry and I was here. That said, the *real* draw that keeps getting me to stop in here, is the live jazz they have every Saturday at 8 PM. The jazz trio that plays here is fantastic, so whenever I'm out that direction on Saturday in the evening (most likely because something's going on at Wicked Wolf), I also try to arrange to pop in here during the live jazz. Cocktails go great with live jazz, and they're a super talented jazz trio. (But it wouldn't be such a draw if they didn't *also* make great cocktails.)“

When busy, there is a huge line to order. Not the best. I was sipping in my drink while boyfriend waited in line. I was finished with one before he brought out our second round. Will say, this happens when they book the back or side for private party's. This place is a staple for us. We have gone back after holidays and will continue going.“

“Not sure why we have not been to the Social List restaurant located on the Retro Row community of Long Beach, CA. But now that we have we are Ecstatic. They have delicious cocktails to enjoy. They even offer you the opportunity to purchase a bottle , have them make drinks from it and they will store it for you in the liquor cabinet for your next visit.
