“A small surf themed diner on Highway 1 in Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach, very close to the water. I live in West Los Angeles, so this area is a lot calmer and less crowded than what I am used to so it’s nice to be able to find easy parking and no lines. It’s right next-door to Harbor House Café, which is also a surf themed diner and between the two I would say that Harbor House is my favorite although Woody’s is another good option, especially if Harbor House is full. There are many Woody’s locations, I believe at least six and none are in the Los Angeles area. They are all in Orange County, this being the most northern one. Our waiter was nice, but the service was very slow. He took a while to take our orders and our food items came out pretty slowly. He also forgot my coffee and gave it to everyone else around me before me, even though I ordered before them, and by the time I inquired about it, they had to brew another batch so I had to wait even longer. They have a tiny parking lot on the side of the restaurant otherwise it’s pretty easy to find free street parking.

For my breakfast I ordered my favorite breakfast dish, which is the Eggs Benedict. I decided to try the Woody’s Benedict, which is basically a regular Benedict with cheese and gravy. I honestly thought it was pretty good and it was extremely filling. The biscuits weren’t very flaky or as good as I hoped, but I still enjoyed them. They tasted a bit like microwave biscuits versus something very fluffy and crispy.

Overall, a nice little surf theme diner in North Orange County. I would recommend if you are in the area.“

“Stopped in for lunch today after seeing a post on Instagram. It’s nice, clean and right on the corner in the shopping center. It looked like the parking lot was packed but there was plenty of parking upon further review. The waitress was so nice and sweet. (I hate that I didn’t ask her name) I got the Loco Moco and the Beignets. Both were REALLY GOOD. She actually didn’t charge me for the dessert because it didn’t come out the way they liked……. It was GOOD to me!! I am not a fan of creamy, mayonnaise, ranch, béchamel, hollandaise, type of sauce so I chose the safe route this time. It was delicious. Very filling and full of flavor. I will be back again and I did invite my friends already. Thanks Chef! Congratulations!!“

“It is a family owned restaurant serving yummy Vietnamese dishes that are vegan. We love this place. We tried almost everything and each is delicious. The service is a friendly mom and pop restaurant service. They are really accommodating what you need.“

She seamed bothered and annoyed our inquiry. Upon leaving, I had to use the restroom and noticed that there was no soap in the restroom so I went to report it to the manager and again I was treated as if it was a bother for me to report the neglect. After noticing the sign in the restroom that said all employee should wash their hands. I was not confident that my complaint would be remedied anytime soon.“

“Had lunch here while visiting Long Beach for the day. The exterior is not very inviting but what waits inside was an incredible surprise. Some truly terrific vegan Mexican food. My guest had a fajita burrito with vegan chicken and green sauce. I had burrito with Tempeh and red sauce. The plates arrived with very generous portions and arranged on the plate like a work of culinary art. I knew then that this was going to be something special and it was. So delicious! I couldn't finish it all and I don't normally get a box to take food home. This time I did, it made a great dinner tonight. There was a case filled with tasty looking desserts. We got 3 to go, a brownie, carrot cake, and a Coconut cake. They where all incredible. I can't wait to eat here again. The service was excellent too. This place is truly a rare find and I have added it to my list of favorite vegan restaurants, I think it just became #1.“

“I read good reviews so we thought would go and give a try. Well the family and I had fantastic meal. My husband had a goat fish and said was very flavorful and tasty. For the kids (8, 11)we got a mild Lamb Korma and Butter chicken. With these I confirmed that they would be mild enough for the kids. The butter chicken and lamb korma even though was ordered as mild (no spice at all to it) it had an absolutely amazing flavor to it- perfect for kids. Now I have had a lot of butter chicken and hands down this was the best I have ever had. The chicken fried rice we ordered was very tasty as well. Highlight for my husband was the beer from India. Parking: This is Huntington Beach .. parking can be difficult. We got lucky with a spot right in front of the restaurant. It was metered parking with the first 2 hours being free. I noticed there was also other street metered parking across the way.

Ambiance/Environment: Very warm and welcoming. It’s very spacious with plenty of indoor seating and limited outdoor seating. Great for large groups.

Service: Shout out to our server Abril! She was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about the menu, refilled our waters when needed, and checked on us while eating.

Food & Drinks:

1) Burning Titan - This was recommended to us since this was their “must try” entrees. I had the choice of substituting the meat and noodles, but I decided to leave everything as is. This only came in one size, and I’d consider it a large bowl. They were very generous with the brisket beef and amount of ramen. The soup was definitely spicy and flavorful.

2) Kung Pao Chicken - My partner wanted a rice dish. I tried his dish, and this is definitely better than Panda Express! It wasn’t too spicy though, nor was it salty. There wasn’t as many peanuts as we thought. There was a good amount of chicken to rice ratio.

3) Crispy Wonton - I like their twist on the wontons because not only did it have cream cheese, but it also had avocado! The wonton was crispppyyy with a beautiful brown color. Though, I wish it had more filling of cream cheese and avocado. Don’t forget to dip it in the sweet sauce!

4) Thai Tea with boba - This wasn’t too sweet. The boba was decently chewy. The tea had a weird aftertaste, so I think they could work on this item.

5) Vietnamese Ice Coffee - I’m a crackhead for caffeine, so of course I ordered a Viet coffee in the evening. You know it’s concentrated when they don’t fill the cup up all the way. This is what I call a Viet coffee!

Pricing: I’d say it’s definitely worth its price. We visited while they were still offering their deals. Can’t deny a bowl of pho starting at $9.99. Especially in this inflation, that’s a steal.“

One of the staff members let me know they were remaking my burrito because they forgot to put avocado on it which was really kind of them, and also offered me a beverage on the house while I waited which was really kind and appreciated.
