And the manager Jeff sources local foods. The ahi appetizer in cones was a recommendation from Jeff and did not disappoint. Our Schnitzel was fabulous and so was the elk pot pie. It was quiet at the time we happened to be there so we got to chat a bit. We learned that the owner’s daughter is the pastry chef so we had to try the cheesecake. Also delicious. It was just a great dining experience.”

“Excellent service here, everyone here was super friendly and directed me to a table with an outlet so I could charge my things. They also let me sign one of the flags they had hanging on the ceiling which was a cool experience.

I ate the salmon bagel there, the bagel itself was quite delicious. My only critique was that I felt there could have been more salmon on the bagel and less tomato. Would recommend.”

“A bike event on Sunday turned into a cold, rainy, windy, miserable day. We went to The Dam Cafe for hot chocolate and got so much love! The owner not only welcomed the wet, muddy riders in, she put out space heaters and wrapped us in blankets! Amazing! I was so cold and was warmed both physically and emotionally by the kindness. The food and drink where delicious. Can’t say enough good things. A little cottage of heaven in Tahoe City!”

“Best patio in Lake Tahoe! It helps that the drinks and food are always fantastic. But also the service, we had a couple of little ones with us that ended up spilling a glass of water early in the meal. A complete accident but the manager reacted with urgency to get us dried off, a new glass of water and replaced the kids activity book before any tears were shed. Overall a great visit that we ended up going twice during our trip.”
