“Defrankos was our first stop on our 12 day vacation from Canada. We got off the flyaway and walked down a few blocks with all of our luggage in tow. The staff were incredibly friendly, they gave us such a warm welcome to California… but beyond that the food was AMAZING. We are currently sitting at the airport going over our trip and all 3 of us agreed the very best food we had on this trip were our 3 subs from Defrankos. ❤️

“The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

“I have been looking for quinoa all over LA. This place serves it and it is very good. The mix has just the right amount of dried sweet cranberries and a few chickpeas. It was perfect. I had a salad with tuna avocado and egg salad. I was able to sub the egg salad for tuna which was very nice of them. They gave me a fork full of a mayonnaise free tuna they had prepared on the way out which again was a great experience. This is the kind of place that you feel cares and you'd want to keep going back to. A+++“

The sandwiches and soup are always solid and very tasteful here! There’s affordable options w/ their sandwich combos and the staff are generally courteous and professional.

But I wanted to leave a review to highlight Meagann who was very personable and professional in our interaction. I truly appreciate the energy and effort you put into your work that I observed today!

Additionally, the manager here is very nice and she (sorry one of these days I’ll catch her name) keeps everything in line and organized amidst chaotic lunch rushes.“

“Some seriously delicious but fairly small sandwiches. They have many locations all around Los Angeles this being the most Westward of the bunch. It’s located in a small strip mall with a lot of parking. However, the parking lot spaces are very tight so if everyone is not parking well it may be hard to find some spaces. If the parking lot is full it’s easy to find free parking in the neighborhood behind the shopping center. It’s more of a to go type of place although they do have tables inside to eat. The attendant behind the counter was very polite and all of our items were made quickly for a last-minute Saturday night dinner.

As mentioned the sandwiches here are quite small so don’t think of it like a submarine sandwich location or somewhere with giant belly busting sandwiches. It’s closer to the size of Porto’s sandwiches. We decided to try a few of their sandwiches. We ordered The Bentley, The Medianoche, and the Carving Club. The best of the bunch was the Bentley because the meat was truly tender and seasoned well and the sauce with it made it extra creamy and just a wonderful bite. The Medianoche was also pretty good, although not the most authentic Cuban sandwich. I wish it would’ve had a stronger mustard flavor, but still I really enjoyed it. The Carving Club was probably my least favorite of the three just because of its small size. The flavors were good, but it didn’t have the traditional club flavors in my opinion. We also ordered the tomato soup and fries as our sides and I was a big fan of the tomato soup, however, the goat cheese in it was extremely small, but the fries were not my favorite because they were a little too crisp and hard. I tend to like mine soft and salty.

Overall a solid sandwich place that has some great to go options. I would recommend anyone in the area searching for a great sandwich.

“These Vietnamese sandwiches are “The best sandwiches in town” as advertised on their packaging. French bread is freshly baked for that perfect toast that’s not too dry as I’ve had at other spots. The sandwich was over 12inches long and made to order. My go to Vietnamese sandwich is grilled pork with everything and they are generous with the meat. Sandwiches are so good that I end up never saving the other half. They offer clean seats and tables but nothing to boast about.“

They have the most delicious, creative, yummy and filling salads around the valley. I come once a week at least and never disappointed! “I’ve been eating subs from My Hero since 1972! THE best subs I’ve eaten, ever. Moved through the years, and always went to My Hero’s when within 5 hours by car to where I was staying! The high quality of their food has never waivered! The buns are soft, yet chewy! The tomato salad in each sandwich is always fresh! Plus they give a generous portion of the protein! My favorite has always been pastrami! Lean and tasty, everytime! The staff is welcoming and genuinely happy you are there! I’ll be going in a week as I pass through the area! “The franchisee is a proud owner and has been there for 23 years. I hadn't been to a Quiznos and quite some time, it came up in conversation and I decided to hunt one down only to be surprised that there has been one in my neighborhood that I didn't even know was there. The food is great, Quiznos is a forgotten gem in the sandwich world. I also miss the Quiznos commercials with the spug monkeys. We love the subs! Because they are good to us. 😂“
