“Great neighborhood hangout, as the name implies. Inside there’s a cool cocktail bar, but my favorite is the dog-friendly outdoor patio, a chill spot to hang out with your friends, dog, and - yes - neighbors.
Outside is a map showing the destruction of the Eaton fire. It’s sobering and sad, but I’m glad it’s here. Thank you.“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

This bar nightclub in Highland Park hosts a wide array of events including karaoke nights, drag shows, live band concerts, and more.
I attended an event on a Sunday, Bear Garden: LABussy, a vendor mart and body positive event. Drink are good and the signature cocktails are unique for sure. There's a bunch of seating inside and some limited seating on their patio.
They open at 5pm daily, but for Bear Garden they opened a little earlier at 4pm. So events have covers, but they're reasonable.
Restrooms are clean and easy to access.
Parking is street and can be a journey as they like to say. Service is great and the bartenders are outstanding.

“We went in search of the @losdoradosla truck and found it parked in front of La Cuevita. We ventured in at around 6p and discovered that it was still Happy Hour. My husband ordered an Old Fashion and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. I ordered a specialty vodka drink and it was refreshing. We’re definitely going back soon with friends!“

“Their Old Fashion is delicious and paper plane as well. I love that it isn't extremely loud and the music is a great mix that always compliments the ambiance. You need a password to get in, but that shouldn't be a problem. Screw Flanders.“

“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. I’m not only if she friendly and acknowledges any and every person who walks in she’s not like other bartenders I’ve seen other establishments who are on their phone more than they are working. She brings in a collective of different patrons all friendly Never once not felt safe when I am there It’s a shame the other Bartenders at this places sister establishment in Covina were as well Trained as Rosie. “As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.“

“We have dined here a couple of times when we come back to visit family. We are never disappointed. The food is quite good. Portions are on the larger size, so expect to have leftovers to bring home (or just go nuts and indulge).
However, the dinning room is comparatively small and not intimate. That isn't that big of a deal, but you should be aware of it going in. I would recommend a reservation if dining later in the evening. If you arrive earlier, they can usually seat you.
Parking is on the street (but that is par for the course in Sierra Madre), but be prepared to have to drive around a little to find a spot.
The only negative was on our last visit. The front of house was clearly understaffed. The one waiter was doing double duty as the bar tender. So, speed of service was not on the menu.
A solid choice for dining and will we will undoubtedly visit again.“

“Came hungry, came thirsty, and came in need of a good spot to let my creativity flow. This is it. This place has it all. The ambiance gets you set to sit, relax, and unwind. The drinks are on point, delicious and well served. The service and welcoming environment is just the beginning. Food is gourmet, lighting is perfect, service is amazing, and the rest; well, come and find out for yourself. Great experience. I'll definitely be a returning visitor.“

“I was there for a 30 yr old birthday with a friend and it was a nice atmosphere Kareoke was good lots of nice voices ( I can make a choir out of them) LOL. All in all it good. But I left early cause I don't like staying out to late so 10ish was a good time to go home.“

More games and tables going to the back of the building. Restroom located in the middle(heading towards the back) Clean dining areas. Cool bartenders! Great beer/liquor/spirits/wine variety. “I hadn't been to this location in about 10 years. Back then it was a total dive bar with "fichera" girls. This time I experienced a fairly nice bar while I watched both the Canelo vs. GGG Trilogy boxing match and the Dodgers vs. Giants baseball game simultaneously. The waitresses and bartenders were very nice. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for watching future sports events. Otherwise, parking for this location isn't easy to come by and it's not a pick up joint. The clientele was pretty much exclusively middle aged Mexican men.“

“This den has reasonable estimating and clean environmental factors. My children significantly delighted in and wanted to play there. Additionally, the staff was extremely obliging, cautious to my children, and agreeable. In the long run, I loved everything out there. It was awesome and meriting to be appraised a 5-stars. We would visit again soon!“

“I just had the most amazing experience I have ever had at a Bar at La Bufadora. For all of the people claiming it’s gentrified, stop it, the world keeps going and nothing can stay the same. This bar has come into new ownership 6 months ago and it is NOT the same Bufadora that opened in ‘89. I’m sorry if you want the bar to be the same 36 years later but that is simply not realistic. The bar is BETTER than ever and caters to the community by having open mic nights and local musicians that don’t have these spaces available to them especially in light of everything that has been going on with the raids. I genuinely fell in love with this bar because of their selection of beers and mixed drinks. The mixed drinks are made with FRESH fruit juices and only the highest caliber of spirits which include tequila and mezcal which make them super delicious and are of higher quality than any other bar’s drinks. You will not be disappointed. The prices reflect the quality and taste of the drink and is not too much considering the care and attention put into them. The vibe of the bar is also wonderful and I can see myself coming here often with friends and family to relax and listen to the live music. I highly recommend this bar. Come check out what they’ve done with the space and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.“
