“Kyle is probably the best bartender I’ve ever known. He took great care of us every time my gf and I have been to 33 taps. Very friendly, and always attentive. Never had to wait long to get his attention for another round. The last time my gf and I went, we also had Laine and Bridget as a bartender cus I believe Kyle was on break, and they remembered our names, which we loved. They were also very attentive. I’ll always come back for Kyle, and now Laine and Bridget.Parking: Good parking“
“My absolute favorite place to go. Very attentive excellent staff, we love them all. Marc is the greatest. We feel like we’re home there. Very flavorful, satisfying food and large portions! What a fantastic beer selection. The Cali creamin is my favorite. Outstanding whiskey and tequila selection as well. And I love how they advise you on what drinks to pair with your choice of food. What a great happy hour menu, and we love their specialty drinks! We will continue to come back to the Morrison establishment. Until next time!“
“One of the most delicious burger and fries I have had in a long time and thankfully, not overpriced like everywhere else. The food was not only very good, but the people that work there and the service was incredible. It was nice to be among people that were so kind in this day and age.“
“Love the atmosphere and the music. The food was good but there are some key points to take note of. The tortilla soup was distinctly lacking in salt to bring the flavors together and there were FAR too many carrots. It cam across very bland initially until I added a lot of salt. The Big Curious Salad was very tasty and the dressing light but flavorful. I added beef skewers to the salad and those skewers were AMAZING! Please note that the online photos show the big curious salad with avocado and clementine, that is not the correct photo as the big curious has neither of those ingredients. All in all an enjoyable meal.“
“Saw a regular get kicked out today for making a woman feel uncomfortable and refusing to apologize when the Bartender asked him to and after the woman informed the regular that he made her feel uncomfortable (he touched her inappropriately, I saw it, a gracious apology was warranted). Good people work at this bar, I’ll be back.“
“We had brunch on a Sunday morning and it was delicious and filling. The staff is very kind and attentive to guests' needs without being intrusive. It is a very popular restaurant and it was already packed before 12 noon. Remember to make a reservation to avoid missing out on good “
“Was visiting my daughter who lives in the area. The food and service were great. Need more local craft beer options. Had the signature burger. Came hot and exactly as ordered. Family loved what they had to eat. Brussel sprouts were a favorite. Drinks were tasty as well. We will make a point to visit each time we're in town.“
“A great atmosphere, I enjoyed the games on TV, it was Tequila Tuesday which was just fine by me, and the food was delicious! Absolutely a great time, I'm really glad that I went there for dinner. The server was fast, kind, and explained the menu to me. They only have Teramasu and 2 scoops of ice cream with liquor, not much of a desert place, but there was a lot around for sweets. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here with more people. On the left was the Blue Cheese Burger, and on the right was the Pastrami Jalapeño Burger. Their Chipotle Mayo was smokey to the taste, which was excellent.“
“Great bar, showed all the NBA games plus the tennis. Food was amazing, loads of vegan options and the portions were huge. Definitely recommend the cali wings and vegan fried chicken burger, tasted fresh and delicious.Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options“
“A lovely little spot. The food here is amazing and caters to a wide variety of tastes and diets. Our server was a wonderfully charismatic individual. The outside city streets melt away in the atmosphere. Will be recommending to friends looking for a nice, chill evening out with company.“
“Love the trivia night on Tuesdays! It starts at 8pm but make sure to arrive early or it’s unlikely to get your group seated.I also appreciate the “order your own” QR code ordering system. Drinks and food come up fast and easy to pay for yourself.Parking is easy since it’s located in a big plaza.“
“Best sausages in LA. Been coming here for almost a decade and the quality has always been top tier. I've had every sausage on the menu multiple times. Mango Jalapeno is my favorite with a Klein, blue cheese/bacon/walnut dip, and a bitburger. “
“Fantastic addition to our South Park neighborhood. The food is much better than you would expect. I recommend the steak tacos. The staff is amazing as well! Really solid team. They are always so friendly and hospitable - even the security guard is super nice! I love coming here with my little dog. We always have a great time.“
“MY FAVORITE LA BAR!!! My review is loooong overdue as I've been coming here for years. I've moved further South on Ventura but I still manage to come to what I feel is my home in bar form. I'm a woman who loves mixology and good bartending and most bars are extremely male centric. TLP is great for women and men. It wouldn't surprise me that many women love this bar. You will hear everyone mention "the feel" of the bar and it's because they seem to consistently hire AMAZING BAR AND WAIT STAFF. Kudos to management for keeping such excellent consistency. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME..I come to the bar I sit at the bar and get an INCREDIBLE convo from the bartenders. They always serve me the most fantastic drinks and make me feel like a FUGGIN QUEEN. I love them so much for this. They manage people well and that's hard to come by. Even if I've had a bad day they seem to always say the thing that lifts my spirits -- it's wild. Therapy in a bar almost. lol Keep up the good work guys! See you again soon.“
“One of the best Korean places I’ve been to. I loved their Pork Belly and Baby octopus dish. It had tons of bean sprouts which seemed a bit odd at first, but completed the dish. Everything was perfectly seasoned. A little sweet and salty but not too much of each. Very big portions and great side dishes.“
“Just had the best afternoon tea at the Kings Head!!Great food and proper good clotted cream for the excellent scones. Very reasonable price, ambiance wonderful, and the service was perfect. The Kings head is a great English pub and I’ve had many a great breakfast and dinner. This was the best. My wife and adult kids all agreed; this is a must visit! Thanks Christine for a great experience and we will definitely be back.“
“Came here for dinner with the boyfriend & pup. It was a chilly night and we were seated on the patio bc the dog was with us, but the heaters kept us perfectly warm (I'm always cold & was concerned about that ). The food is southern comfort, but not so heavy. I had the chicken pot pie. It was creamy but also kind of light, and had plenty of chicken & veggies to fill me up! My partner went with the chicken fried chicken. He ate it all and was very satisfied! Good for brunch or dinner with family, friends & pups :)“
“First time here at first a little put off by the vibe. I was recommended this place by the hotel person when my daughter wanted a burger and fries. However upon entering I clearly saw that this place was not wheel chair friendly nor a place to bring children. My 10 year old daughter said they have nothing without stinky aged cheddar. I couldn’t help but laugh and the vibe changed the waitress came by with a nice smile and reassured my baby that they indeed could make her a burger without aged cheddar. Poof happy and sweet potato fries so amazing. As for me I had a Mother Earth for dinner. It was beyond amazing. Her name was Danielle cutie ginger my daughter said. Worth the trip because of the satff..“
“Awesome burgers. Awesome beer selection. Awesome attentive, friendly staff. We spent some time in the back bar area recently and had an absolute blast. The smash burgers are out of this world. Service was second to none. We'll be back.“
“Very busy, order at the bar, open a tab, food is delivered to your table. Really delicious, creative, non-traditional dishes. The staff were super busy and nice.Dietary restrictions: We did not try to ask to change anything, but menu says no substitutions or changes. The burger had bleu cheese which was fine with us but we wondered what they do if you don’t want that.“
“Listen. I've been going here a long time. You could call me a fan boy. None of that matters, though. Are you a nerd? Everything about this place is nerdy, in the truest sense of the word. Enjoy eats made by a chef who is nerdy about food. Drink cocktails and beer curated by people who are nerdy about alcohol. Do you like board games and e-sports? Are you sick of pop culture savvy places wearing "nerdiness" as a costume or prop without understanding what makes us nerds tick? Come to Guildhall. These are your people. This is home.“
“Super friendly service here! The lady running the bar and register was chatty and fun and friendly. I tried their spicy vegan sausage and I liked that it was something they made in house. They have a few vegan hot dogs and you can choose your toppings. Tasted really good. Also got a yummy pretzel. I really recommend the chipotle aioli. Small parking lot available.“
“Loved the delicious cheeseburger, hot crispy sandwich, and calamari. Can't go wrong with these! The service was so so. It took 2 servers to make us happy if that tells you something... refilling water and getting side items in a timely matter.“
“THE BEST CHICKEN AND WAFFLES I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I went here for brunch with a group of people. I ordered the Spicy Chicken and Coconut Waffles dish. Everyone else ordered what they ordered. My food looked and tasted good as can be and I KNOW everybody else food was delicious too because EVERYTHING on the table looked good. Now when it came to the chicken wings, I can honestly say that my mans got the bigger pieces of chicken which were thick and juicy and my girl got the skinner version of the wings. That's not cool. But he and she said that nevertheless, it was seasoned and delicious.Awesome place and the bottomless option is amazing! CHEERS!“
“1st time here, we had the BBQ ribs and the sliders. The ribs are amazing, flavorful, and meaty. We also tried the bread pudding, and omg, it was amazing. I recommend it. Next time, I'll have 2 so I don't have to share with my wife. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you Lorena.“
“This is my favorite dinner & drinks spot! Great, friendly atmosphere with a huge selection of beer and quality cocktails. The food is incredible too! They use incredible seasoning and every dish has a really punchy and satisfying flavor. Goes perfectly with their drinks. They also have a large parking lot so I’m never stressed about parking!“
“What a cute little hidden gem in the down town Montrose area. We were starving after a visit to Descanso Gardens and this place had photos of a cute patio seating area so we took the chance! The food was surprisingly very delicious! We shared a Reuben and a Cuban sandwich. We were disappointed to see no French fries, so we splurged on a hot pretzel! OMG it was so huge we took half of it home with us. Service was interesting- it was one bartender taking care of 3-4 tables of guests while we were there (plus a few take out orders). He did refill our drinks and checked on us twice quickly as he was grabbing stuff for other tables. We are pretty low maintenance so we were fine with it! I suspect this place is pretty packed after work for a drink and appetizers!“
“On Sunday we went for brunch. The good was ok. I got the chicken and waffles and my friend got the salmon Benedict. The food was average. Nothing really special with the meal. The bar was great. This place is much better for drinks than for food.“
“A great snack restaurant! If you come before 8 o'clock, it's happy hour, so you can enjoy more value for money than other K-Town bars :)However, if you go when there are too many people and it is noisy, your voice may be heard :) Good luck with your guessing game :)“
“Work right across from here so this place is one of my go-tos for lunch. Never actually sat down and ate inside even though the energy is always feels good. I've gotten just fries from this place about 4-5 times. There's a reason i've gotten it 4-5 times. They're crispy, always fresh and well seasoned. They also give you three sauces: spicy mayo, garlic aioli, and honey mustard. All are amazing and my favorite is mixing all the sauces and putting them on top of the fries. I've also orders the mozzarella sticks and the classic burger, no cheese, lettuce tomato and pickles. The mozzarella sticks are big and the cheese stretch is perfect. For the burger I didn't care much for the bun but the taste of the burger was amazing. I always come back and will always come back.“
“Thoroughly enjoyed Far Bar’s happy hour, which runs from 3-7pm Monday to Friday, and all day Monday. Best value play is the Burger Special ($13), which includes fries and a Sapporo or soda.Wings are also excellent. Will try their shrimp tacos next! Service is awesome and the vibes are casual yet with a classy decor (especially outside). Love this historic spot!“
“Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6pm and was able to get a table for 3 almost immediately. Street parking nearby wasn’t too hard to find, and the meters are free on Sundays. We shared the Bavarian pretzels to start, which come with queso dip and mustard spread. The pretzels were excellent - beautifully browned and crisp on the exterior, while wonderfully soft and chewy on the inside. The queso dip was alright - nothing too special - but the mustard spread was delightful. I got the Machismo burger with sweet potato waffle fries (free upgrade from regular fries at the time since they were out of regular fries). This was one of the better burgers I’ve had in quite some time. The beef patty was juicy and had a good thickness to it, and I loved the crispy texture added by the fried onions. The bite of the jalapeños, chewiness of the bacon, and meltiness of the cheese all worked together really well to round out all the textures and flavors. The “crunch” bun was really fascinating - I’d never had anything like it, and I thought it was the perfect vessel for the burger. I also really enjoyed the sweet potato waffle fries - light and crispy outside with a soft and tender interior. The house-made ketchup was delicious with them, much more tomato-forward than your standard ketchup. While the food is a bit on the pricey side, I think it was well worth it, and I’d definitely come again to try out some other dishes!Parking: Street parking is metered, free on Sundays“
“Always a great choice when you're in Studio City. A tavern feel indeed from the second you step in. Wood covers floor to ceiling all washed in a warm light. The seats at the bar are usually taken up, but it's because it just has a feel good, neighborhood hang vibe. Menus are all over the walls, listing food, a decently sized beer list, and some wine/cocktails. It might take a minute to get your order in; it's "order at the bar only", so be patient with the bartenders as they juggle their multiple job assignments. We always seem to order from the small plates menu, just so we get a little bit of everything. Fried chicken sliders, chorizo sliders, Brussels sprouts, and pork belly skewers are our regular go-to's. Grab a table inside or post up outside on the "patio"; the empty lot next to the building has been converted to an open air hang, complete with picnic tables, heaters if it's cold, lots of hanging greenery, and even an Air Stream trailer (where you can order drinks depending on the season). Find street parking or valet for $10.“
“Loved the delicious cheeseburger, hot crispy sandwich, and calamari. Can't go wrong with these! The service was so so. It took 2 servers to make us happy if that tells you something... refilling water and getting side items in a timely matter.“
“Honestly this is the best time in town to relax, have a drink and a bite to eat. Everything about this place is class. They make great strong drinks and the food is better than you would expect. Not to mention their happy hour is definitely the best in the area and available from 3-6 m-f. I love their Smash burger and brisket tacos. Their wings and pies are good too. Brian is the best I’m sure you will meet him if you frequent this place like I do. He always makes you feel comfortable and is very friendly and genuine.Great for watching sports even though the vibe isn’t a sports bar. It’s a classy establishment.“
“Every once in an awhile you have an unbelievable waiter and they make your entire week and perspective on life feel better. We just moved to town and had the pleasure of being served by Nikki. We love this place! The food was great the service was exceptional and we will be coming back soon.“
“TBH I love this burger, always have always will. However, this is the first and last time I’ll ever order it for delivery!! If I hadn’t already had it in person a thousand times I’d have been very unimpressed by the execution. The food was still warm when it arrived, but the bottom bun was completely soaked through to the point of disintegration. Maybe this wouldn’t bother anyone, but it ruined the functionality of eating it as a burger. The shoe string fries (which I always LOVE in person) were also pretty solidified and chewy by the time they arrived. Love love love this place, I recommend it to all of my friends visiting LA, but definitely skip getting this place (or at least the burger and fries) delivered. Trust me!! You’ll thank me when you make the drive to eat there in person :)“
“I didn't take a picture of the pasta, but it was the best pasta I've ever eaten. The male server was very friendly and I was happy. I didn't find anything special about the taste of the fire chicken. Oh, it was delicious. There was nothing like it, so I took off one star.“
“The food, service, and atmosphere are super at turning fork. It has quickly become our favorite local eat as a Studio City resident. Everything on the menu from the pizzas to the fish and chips never disappoint and the servers are excellent!“
“I was a tourist in LA with no phone or car and I stumbled into this place because it was in walking distance of my hotel. What an unbelievably lucky chance for me. The food here is delicious, and the drinks are awesome, but the people are truly what made me come back over the duration of my trip. Hiro and Nara (I hope I didn't butcher the names) and the ska-fan whose name I did not get - you're all superstars. This is 100% a place to visit if you're looking to have an absolutely awesome time.“
“Excellent beer selection!!We were looking for a place to have a late dinner after watching our UW Huskies trounce the Trojans at LA Memorial Coliseum (great stadium, BTW!).Found We're Pouring on Yelp. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, delicious food, and tasty beer!! We each ordered burgers and fries. The fries weren't very special but the burgers were wonderful! Perfect bun to meat ratio with a tender bun and fresh meat.We each had the Fremont Dark Star on Nitro. There were several other dark beers on tap we wanted to try, but we had an early flight the next morning!!Will return when on the area!!“
“Wanted to come on here and show some love for an awesome night. I love a place that is exactly what it’s meant to be. To me, Tam offers a historical story, great food, and casual high end service. Amaya was personable and the rest of our wait staff were attentive but not overly so. They allowed my friends and I to enjoy our meal from start to finish. Prince Charles was juicy with good flavor. The spinach was seasoned and not too creamy. You must get the brisket on with the gravy fries. The drink selection was top tier with a good selection of beers, spirits, and creations. Honestly everything I’d want a Scottish establishment to be.“
“Food: 5 starsService: 5 starsValue: 4 starsThis is really a 4.5 - the burgers are great, but the cheesy pretzel knot is the real winner on the menu here. The one thing we didn't like was the fries. They weren't particularly crispy or flavorful, but that's a personal preference. The staff are happy to recommend drink options (they have a huge selection of cans in their fridge behind the counter). Overall, a great option but a bit pricy.“
“We didn't order any food, so this review is for drinks service, and vibes. On our way from the Petersen Automotive to Pijja Palace, we had some time to kill and so found Jay's Bar on Yelp. The four of us arrived a little after 4:00 on a Thursday, found street parking (rather than the tiny lot), and pulled up to find two other patrons and who we think is the owner doing some business on her computer at a table. Erich was very friendly but not imposing. The happy hour deal of Kirin and gyoza sounded good, but we were on the way to dinner and decided not to. My brother ordered the Big Bad Baptist (on draft!!! I haven't seen it in forever!), my sister-in-law enjoyed her Brooks Dry Cider, Jim G. had a Space Dust on draft and I enjoyed the Yuzu You cocktail, which was a nice mix of shishito-infused gin, yuzu liqueur, lime, and cracked pepper (there's also a bit of simple, which I asked Erich to omit). There was some nice music playing and a rousing tennis match on one tv (at least according to Erich and the two other patrons) and on the other, the end of a Godzilla movie and then an episode of The Sopranos. I imagine at night when this place is packed, the vibe is a bit different, but it was great for our purposes. We are way far away in the northwest SFV, so this isn't a place we'll drive all the way here for, but if we're in the area, we'd definitely stop in again.“
“I've lived in the neighborhood for several months before trying this restaurant and the only disappointment is that I didn't try it sooner. I very much enjoyed their pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich and pastrami french fries. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. I couldn't be happier with my first visit and with about a year and a half left before graduating, I'm probably going to spend a lot of time and money at this place.I live in USC grad student housing and this restaurant is, by far, the most convenient place to eat in the area. It's just a few blocks from my apartment. It's certainly worth the trip.“
“The wait to get in was pretty long, but totally worth it considering how popular it is. First time trying Korean food and it blew me away. Super affordable and with veggie choices. The kimchi pancake was the highlight. The vibe and decor were spot on – cozy and cool. Would go back in a heartbeat!Vegetarian options: Most of the menu isn’t vegetarian friendly, but there are still a few vegetarian options that are super delicious. The waitress was helpful in helping us to select some vegetarian dishes“
“Came here for some drinks. It was my first time trying this spot. They play loud music, have pool tables and air hockey games. Alot of TVs around so it's a great place to watch games. I liked the nostalgic decor in the bathrooms and old magazine style cut outs laminated on the bar tables. Great energy and the people are really nice too. They make a really good espresso martini. We shared the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.Parking: They have metered parking and paid parking garage“
“Great little sports bar on sunset blvd with great cocktails and a solid draft beer list. Make sure to book a reservation on weekends because this place gets busy! They have several TVs throughout the bar so every seat in the house is good. Best of all they have plenty of vegan options which is rare for a sports bar! The vegan tacos are amazing. It's also dog friendly. I'm a big fan.“
“This bar is awesome! They offer brunch specials on the weekend, as well as mimosas and delicious Bloody Mary’s. CK generally serves us and is super attentive, professional, and hardworking. This place has had staff turnover and sometimes they’re down to 2 people to make the food and serve the drinks; nonetheless, CK and the staff work hard to ensure everyone’s happy and their order is taken.“
“A decorated literature themed bar with well-made drinks and decent food. Street parking on a Saturday night was easy. It's a good spot for a private party, but for a fun night out this place seemed quiet and empty otherwise. Not a cheap place to buy drinks, especially when charged $7 for Diet Coke, and another $7 for a refill. I assume it was a mistake, but it bemuses me to pay a cocktail price for soda.Parking: Street parking“
