“Went here because I saw there were good reviews and there is a good reason. I tried the Tri Tip, Chicken shawarma and chicken breast. All three excellent. I'd say Trip Tip was the best of the three. Also, grabbed a baklava and it was one of the best I've had.“

The dining room is clean and new, and can easily see everything is made fresh to order in the kitchen. Don't let In n' Out next door confuse you- parking is pretty easy. Most importantly, the food is terrific, probably the best counter order Mexican in Crescenta valley.“

“This is my first stop when coming home to visit! My family has enjoyed these pastries since as long as I can remember. Some of my favs are the guava cheese strudel, picadillo empanadas, and their famous potato balls. Looking forward to my next visit, love watching the make window. 😋“

Each herb contributes distinct flavor characteristics but the ratio to achieve a balance of acidity/tangy. sweetness, and aromatic complexity is reportedly very hard to get right . The dough , sometimes described as translucently thin but crisp, tender, bouncy and flavorful, somehow maintains structural integrity and moisture control. The overall effect of the pie is super 🔥“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! “So delicious. Everything was perfect. We had steamed dumplings with one of the most delicious dipping sauces! The Tom Kha Tofu soup was definitely the best Tom Kha I've ever had. Carbonara was also really good. We were so excited about the menu that we also grabbed two extra dishes something to go. Hubby had the lime and chili ramen and really enjoyed it. It was very flavorful. I had the yakisoba noodles with pork. The pork was lovely and well cooked. Very tender! But, for me, the sauce on the noodles was really heavy on vinegar. I was expecting/wanting a more savory/umami flavor. They were way too sour for my taste. I’m certain that there would have been a lot of other menu items I would have enjoyed! I wish I’d tried their miso ramen instead of the yakisoba.“

My favorite was the mackerel, yellowtail, and unagi.

I've also ordered donburi here, and it comes very close to the donburi I had in Japan.

Been coming to Chiba for years now. Hands down it's my favorite sushi spot for nigiri in LA.

“Had to come here to share how incredible the staff is at this Jinya Ramen. Every single person went the extra mile, goes to show how little details in service can add so much to the experience. I walked in starving at 9pm and was clearly a little short with the servers. Despite that, they were gracious and warm - give them all a raise!

My only criticism is perhaps lowering the volume on the music front (or even switching genres to something more easy listening) as this is a hindrance in the otherwise lovely atmosphere with the fire pit.
