“The food here was actually pretty good! You can sit in the patio with the view of the pool. You can also order from your pool chair. We chose to dine in for dinner.

Complimentary first round of chips and salsa, $4.99 additional. Chips made in house, thin and crispy.

We ordered:

-Pork belly chicharron: deep fried crispy pork belly in this elote salsa purée with tortillas and fruit on the side. Tastes exactly like the description. Tortillas made in house.

-Guacamole: Had corn and pepita seeds that look like Sun flower seeds. Adds a nice little crunch.

-Fish tacos: crispy beer battered fish cod were huge! Came in 3.

-Carne asada fries: Their house blend white cheese was not my favorite.

-Pozole: This was delish. I love hominy!

-Birria tacos: 3 thin birria tacos dipped with consome and came with rice and refried beans.

For drinks we got the watermelon Rita and peach Rita. Watermelon had the purée so it tasted refreshing. The peach was nasty. Server said it’s his second best. I should have went with my gut to get the gauge which had the purée.“

I travel from chula vista san diego up to this place for some chicharron! then i take advantage and get some tortillas. I always get a burrito because its fresh! FRESH! they have a butcher place so the meat is fresh all the time not frozen for their kitchen. you can get freshly cooked tortillas still warm from the thermal. they have lots of mexican candy and chips! my favorite place to go!“

“Mi Guadalajara is now featuring an outstanding Sunday Brunch Buffet! Since they’re my favorite Mexican restaurant in Esco, I was excited to check it out and everything was excellent. I was really impressed with the thoughtful balance of Mexican and American favorites, serving both breakfast and lunch type dishes. It’s quite the varied spread that would satisfy just about anyone. I particularly enjoyed their Mexican shrimp cocktail, house-made tortillas, omelets, pork adobada and a penne pasta dish with diced ham tossed in a flavorful Mexican-style cream sauce. There’s also a nice selection of sweets and desserts. Brunch is served every Sunday from 9am – 2pm and very reasonably priced for all you can eat. I believe there is also a special full-service brunch menu if you’re not interested in the buffet. Highly recommended.“

“found the Las Vegas Sayulitas 2 yrs ago when staying at the Luxor. there burritos are beyond spectacular. big and so delicious. I can't say it enough. and the sauces on the little sauce bar are outstanding. I've never had anything like those sauces. the hot green sauce and hot red sauce are phenomenal. I like the green the best. I lived in AZ years ago. went back home to upstate NY. there is no place near me that even comes close. “To me, this is the best mexican food spot in Escondido. I've been coming here for 40 years. The food is very traditional with wonderfull taste and big portions. My go to is the adobada burrito with whole beans. Little hole on the wall spot traditionally decorated. The ladies taking your order are always polite and friendly. You'll have your food in less than 10 minutes from ordering it. Highly recommend this place.“

This restaurant is clean, but I did notice several wet stains on their ceiling, which could be roof leaking. We ordered a 3 piece meal and a chicken taco. The sides were corn and beans. Everything in the meal was good tasting. My only complaint is chicken pieces are too small. The taco with visit sauce was also good. Prices are a little high for a fast food meal.“

They gotta extra large container for sodas but i get that green salsa in that container. Oh boy. I keep a container in my fridge at all times. I go in there, ask for salsa only she automatically gets me the big container. My daughter lives in NC. i have to freeze at least 5 burritos to take to her on the plane. Its embarrassing, I tellya. If i don't my stay there is a nightmare. Its a good spot.“

“I haven't been here in a while and was craving a beets, carrots, pineapple.and spinach juice. I ordered a large cup and requested no ice. I got my drink its it was just below half way with actual juice and the rest was foam, you can't drink the foam. I was about to get charged around $12 for a half empty cup of juice. I expressed my concern with the cashier and I asked her if she would charge me for the medium which is about $8. She was hesitant but eventually agreed to it. I feel like they fill the entire cup with ice and only top it off with a small amount of juice which is a rip off/scam.“
