“Was in wasco for a week for a job and I didn't know what place had great Mexican food. Then I met a family at Walmart and they recommended this place. I went to eat there Wednesday night and it was amazing. The food was authentic Mexican cuisine and homemade. The restaurant was like an old western Clint Eastwood movie. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Anybody in town check the restaurant out absolutely worth the time.“

“Always hits the spot! Every time we visit, food is so delicious, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Sunday is our favorite day to go. Handmade tortillas on the tacos, quesabirrias, and tortillas when you order menudo. We have had almost everything on the menu, but our favorites are fajitas, menudo, tacos gobernador, pastor tacos, quesabirrias (especially Sundays), tamales de elote, barbacoa plate and empanadas de camaron“

“La Fonda restaurant This is a very simple & casual restaurant serving delicious authentic Mexican food. I always order their shrimp tacos because I think they are the best in Kern County. You order at the counter, but the food is brought to your table. There is a soda fountain to get your own drinks. They also serve beer, but not wine. The staff is always polite. It is family friendly and good for takeout.“
