“Came in for lunch with a couple friends and had a pretty good experience overall. The dim sum selection was larger than I expected, and most of the dishes arrived hot and fresh. The shrimp dumplings were probably my favorite, while a few of the buns were just okay. Service was friendly, though it got a little slow once the place filled up. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and felt clean and welcoming. Prices seemed fair for the amount of food we ordered. I'd definitely come back to try some of the items I missed this time around.“

“A tremendously cute little hole in the wall dim sum place. As mentioned previously, this is not a big restaurant where food is brought out: you order at the counter and they bring out food piping hot and freshly steamed. That said, each dish was big restaurant quality and they were even nice enough to let us eat at their sole table there. The dumplings were balanced and well seasoned, and the pastries were tasty (not too sweet!) and well baked. Would absolutely go again.“

I like their barbecue combo , walnut shrimp, steamed fish and Typhoon shelter style crab. I have been curious why called it Typhoon shelter? If anyone knows please let me know. Dessert is and always is red bean tangshui with tiny boba balls. I gave 4 Star rating on service and atmosphere. Service has no interaction, because in service industry , one can't assume patrons knows about Chinese food. “I visited this place more than dozen times in last 12 months and recently we found that there is a new promotion: $0.99 for a lobster along with a new menu with updated price (slighting adjusting upwards, as everyone is dong that) as long as your order is 39.99 or more. This deal itself is unheard of and doesn’t need any further discussion: food quality is still the same, service is the same, etc.
Updates 7/0/2026: the $.99 lobster is $6.99 now, same conditions applied. It is much more than before but still very inexpensive and below the cost.“

“We had the best experience at Mama Lu’s Dumpling House, this is one of those spots where you have to come hungry because you’ll want to try everything on the menu.

We ordered a little bit of everything, and every single dish delivered. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned and super comforting, with that classic wok flavor that makes it hard to stop eating. The vegetable dumplings were fresh, light, and packed with flavor, honestly some of the best we’ve had. The pancake had that ideal crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside texture and was so satisfying. The string beans were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning, and the eggplant was good, melt-in-your-mouth vibe.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere really stood out. It’s cozy and welcoming, but still spacious enough to comfortably bring a big group, perfect for families or catching up with friends. One thing we really appreciated is that they don’t rush you out. You can actually sit, enjoy your meal, and take your time, which makes the whole experience feel even better.

I like barbecued pork buns and rice rolls, as well as chrysanthemum tea. There are many traditional Chinese people here, and some white people.
