“Our party of four regularly treats ourselves to great meals, so we came to Somni with very high expectations—and somehow, they still managed to exceed them.

Every course was exceptional. I genuinely couldn’t fault a single dish. But what stood out just as much was the service and attention to detail. The team anticipated so many little things before we even had to ask: helping us identify the background music when we were curious, explaining the beautiful water carafe, having fresh napkins ready when we returned from the restroom, and countless other small touches throughout the evening.

One of my friends wasn’t particularly enjoying one of the wine pairings because it wasn’t quite their usual style. The sommelier noticed without us saying anything and proactively brought out a substitute sake instead. It turned out to be one of the best sakes I’ve ever had.

The food, wine pairing, non-alcoholic pairing, and the beautiful space were all outstanding. But more than anything, it was the level of attentiveness and genuine hospitality that made the evening so memorable.

Somni truly sets an incredibly high bar for what a three-Michelin-star restaurant can be.

For me, the evening was extra special as I was celebrating my “birth-month.” The team went above and beyond to make me feel celebrated, including a thoughtful gift, but what I appreciated most was the genuine thoughtfulness and attention throughout the entire experience.

The bar has been set very high from here. I have a feeling many future dining experiences will inevitably be compared to this one.

“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. Definitely recommend the chili cheese fries as well. The manager was friendly and welcoming! Thank you for your hospitality, quick eat, and delicious ice ice cream!“

We started with Quail and devilish eggs with tuna and shared a burger.

Oh, and side note - my favorite parts of the night was when a well lubricated woman walked up to the DJ booth and asked for the check and her husband behind her tried to keep her the DJ wasn't a service booth... He Looked to the sky like Ben Affleck did after he opened and closed the car door for Jennifer Lopez.

“Excellent food and service! Absolutely perfect breakfast. Hot, delicious, HUGE portions. The best chai tea latte I've ever had it - it puts Starbucks to shame. The meal was esthetically a work of art (see photo). The menu said two eggs, but it looked like five. Great French toast - better than I can make myself. Needless to say, I highly recommend Joey's Cafe!“

“Riot House is definitely one of the highlights of my stay at Andaz West Hollywood. The chicken wings are absolutely incredible and honestly some of the best I have had in the United States. They are flavorful, perfectly cooked, and really stand out on the menu. I highly recommend trying them and not skipping over this dish.

The salad was decent and fresh but did not quite reach the same level as the wings. One of the other things I really enjoyed was the non-alcoholic Mai Tai. It was so good that we ended up ordering three rounds each. The flavors were well balanced and refreshing which made it a perfect complement to the meal.

The service throughout our dinner was warm and attentive. The staff made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive and their friendly attitude added to the positive atmosphere.

Speaking of atmosphere, Riot House has a really fun and lively vibe. It is a great place to come for a casual dinner where you can enjoy delicious food, good drinks, and a vibrant energy. Whether you are staying at the hotel or just visiting the area it is definitely worth a visit.

Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini.
