“My parents have visited in the past and told me that whenever I’m in L.A. to check out Porto’s. Well, I came down from Vegas for the day and as I was getting ready to head back I made sure to stop by the store in Buena Park to pick up some goodies as I was coming from Huntington Beach.I picked up a selection of savory and sweet items to try out. As I am half Cuban I remember eating the same items as my grandmother made and sure enough the items I picked out had spot on flavor. “My daughter went to SIX bakeries across Southern California for cake tastings. Six. Not kidding. She was very excited about Sweet Taders and thought she finally found the cake she wanted. I was nervous because even though the cake at the tasting g was good, replicating it for a 4-tier cake is very different than serving a smaller slice at a tasting. Holy cow! Not only was the cake itself absolutely gorgeous, the taste was out-of-this world. The cake was moist and light. The filling was creamy and the buttercream frosting was amazing. The overall flavor was light, not too sweet and FRESH! I have never had such an amazing wedding cake ever!! I can't recommend this amazing company enough. “This is where you want to go for a casual meal that's healthy but still delicious. They have online ordering which makes dining here easy and convenient. To be honest, the photos on their site looked a little too healthy to me and not very appealing. But I'm glad I decided to give them a try anyway. Their focus is on rotisserie chicken and you can see them cooking in the front window. The place is small and cozy with a few tables for dining in but it seems like a lot of people order take out. I got the Combo #1 ($12.50) that comes with a 1/4 rotisserie chicken, two sides and cornbread or tortilla. The cashier warned me it would be a small piece of chicken (which it was) but it's enough for one person if you're not too hungry. The chicken was cooked perfectly and pairs well with their lemon garlic sauce, which is more lemony than garlic. I chose coleslaw and mashed potatoes as sides and they tasted like they were homemade. I really enjoyed the unique flavor of the coleslaw. I think it had pineapple in it. The food here is simple but flavorful and fresh. You don't have to feel guilty about eating out when you come here.“

She was not available on our wedding date and I was really sad about it but she suggested I have the cake delivered the day before. It was so great of her to fit me in and work with me to make sure I got the best damn cake for my wedding. I wasn't sure I wanted a cake but when she sent me samples I literally wanted to have a 6 tier cake so we didn't have to choose. It was some of the best cake I have ever tried! All were amazing.
