Both the service and food were great. The first few courses were delicious, adding a bit of extra excitement to the meal. That said, for a restaurant charging $195/person with a Michelin star, serving food and beverages on a cracked plate and in a chipped cup felt off. When I asked the staff about it, she gave me a smirk and downplayed it with some excuses and brushed it off. Better quality control may be needed as your guests deserve better.“

“Last night we went to Speak Cheezy on 4th St at Termino. First off, EXCELLENT customer service! We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms/ White Wine Braised Leeks / Truffle Cheese / house stretched mozzarella / shredded mozz / parsley / post oven of lemon zest. *We love to add Hobbs Sausage*). I added that delicious sausage and loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach / hand stretched mozzarella / shredded mozzarella /pecorino / smoked ricotta / gaeta olive / za’atar / feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems / kewpie caesar dressing / pizza croutons / anchovies / Ribbons of Fiscalini Gold / soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. That salad was so yummy with that incredible salad dressing and the jammy soft cooked egg. I want another one to eat with my lovely pizza leftovers. :)“

You cannot have a conversation because the sound echos so loudly and when the staff moves tables around they drag it along the tile and all of the tables have to stop and wait till they are done to be able to speak again with your table.“

“We had breakfast at Zuzu’s Petals on a Saturday morning and arrived around 8:30 a.m. Parking took a little patience—we circled the block once or twice—but we found a spot within about a block of the restaurant.

There was about a 10–15 minute wait to order. The pace here is definitely relaxed, but that was part of the charm. I was catching up with a friend, and everyone waiting in line seemed to be in a good mood, so it felt more like part of the experience than an inconvenience.

After ordering at the counter, you receive a number and the staff brings your food to your table. The food wasn’t fast, but it also wasn’t excessively slow—it arrived at a comfortable, leisurely pace that fit the overall vibe of the restaurant. We sat on the covered sidewalk patio, which was pleasant and shaded, and by the time we finished, the line had grown all the way around the corner. Clearly this place is popular.

I ordered the skillet with drip coffee. Everything was well prepared and satisfying, and my total came to about $26 before tip, which felt pretty typical for the area.

Our server wasn’t constantly checking in or refilling coffee automatically, but whenever we needed something and got their attention, they were happy to help with a smile.

One thing to be aware of: the restaurant adds a 4% wellness charge to every check, with a note on the menu explaining that it supports employee compensation and wellness initiatives and the entirety of the charge is retained by the company. The menu also states that the charge can be removed if requested.

“I tossed myself into this Simply Salad location for the first time a couple of Saturdays ago. It was actually my first time having SS! I’m big on Customer Service, and they did not disappoint!
Upon entering I was impressed! The cleanliness of the establishment, and the professionalism of the Staff. I was greeted, by a young man, and the manager Lina!
Lina was superb, attentive, very professional, and answered my questions about salads, wraps and all the essential goodies that go along with the amazing Simply Salad experience! I chose the EL JEFE, and it checked every box! Service was fast, and preparation was even faster! If you’re in a hurry during lunch, pressed for dinner prep, or just want a delicious meal packed with everything your body would love…..PULL 🆙 The presentation was on point, colorful, flavorful and packed with goodness! I’ll definitely return to this particular location again & again when I’m in the area. I highly recommend Simply Salad in Hawthorne!

“This is a great concept for a takeout restaurant with prepared meals. I got the cilantro rice, spicy black beans, a buddha bowl with tofu, and honey spicy sweet potatoes for a great price. Some items were 25% off because they were going out of date the next day, but they lasted in my fridge, and still tasted fresh, for 3 days. They also have meat entrees, but I really appreciated their vegan options. The only reason I didn't give Everytable five stars is because they use more oil than I prefer. The food is yummy, but wish they'd use less oil, at least on the vegan dishes. And, the service was helpful, especially for my first time there. The location in Torrance has a small area with tables and chairs and they will heat up your food, if you prefer your meal warm.“

“Love almost all of their dishes and buy here frequently, however, the Adobo Hot wing (expiration date 4/11 purchased/consumed 4/7) did not feel as fresh as their typical standard for the rest of their meal that I love so much! Especially the herb dipping sauce didn’t smell fresh. “If you haven’t been to Cava yet, let me save you the suspense. From the moment you walk in, the ingredients look fresh, and the entire team moves with purpose and professionalism. You can tell right away they take pride in what they do and that starts at the top with Stavo.

Stavo was so sweet, friendly, and overall amazing. I absolutely loved his personality! You can tell he genuinely cares about both the people he works with and every single guest who walks through the door.

Now let me talk about something that surprised me.

I have never tried their Mint Cucumber drink before because I simply do not like anything minty. Ever! Stavo suggested I give it a try. I asked him directly, “Is it minty?” He confidently told me it wasn’t overpowering and that it’s actually one of their top drinks. And let me just say he did not lie!!!!

The Mint Cucumber was divine. So refreshing. Light, crisp, and perfectly balanced. It wasn’t overwhelmingly minty at all just clean and cooling in the best way. Thank you for that suggestion, Stavo. You converted me!

And while we’re here, if you haven’t had their Pita Chips, you are absolutely missing out. They are the BEST. Perfectly crisp, lightly salted, and dangerously addictive. Make sure you get them when they’re fresh and come right out that’s when they’re at their peak. Trust me on this one.

The food is consistently amazing fresh greens, flavorful proteins, creamy hummus, vibrant toppings everything tastes thoughtfully prepared. But what truly makes this location stand out is the experience. The teamwork. The hospitality. The leadership.
