“Frasca was a start to finish impeccable experience! My partner and I went for my birthday, and every staff member we interacted with was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, laughed at my stupid jokes, and did not make us feel rushed whether we were just enjoying a dish, picking out a wine or had questions about ingredients. The food was absolutely incredible, which I did expect for a Michelin starred restaurant! But I was still blown away by each dish, the care that clearly went into every aspect of it and how each ingredient was special (I keep dreaming of the butter hand churned by a guy in Normandy). I loved the journey through the menu we went on, the experimentation of flavors, textures, smells and temperatures was so fun!The service, I had no expectations for because I just assumed it’d be like every other restaurant but with fancy plates and wine glasses, maybe? However, it was phenomenal. What was really special was how even though the restaurant was full, it didn’t feel crowded and there wasn’t a massive deal of switching out tables when someone finished. They are clearly a passionate, cohesive and well educated team!I recommend everyone who loves food experiences something like this at least once, it’s like eating art while being treated like royalty!“
“The rellenos special was one of the better meals I've consumed in my 8 years in Boulder. I've been here a handful of times and the food has been consistent, the service great, and the energy unpretentious. Vanessa took great care of me. This will be a staple in my quiver of Boulder recommendations.“
“We had an absolutely fantastic personal tour with the most knowledgeable staff. Learned so much more about bourbon whiskey, single malt whiskey, & peated whiskey. I bought 3 bottles & whiskey aged coffee. I highly recommend Boulder Spirits ❗️❗️❗️“
“We’ve performed in so many venues over the years, and Velvet Elk is top notch. Their system is excellent and the room sounds amazing - sound Engineer, Aaron, dialed in the room and stage sound perfectly. The food is delicious and most importantly, the people there are super friendly. Boulder is lucky to have this place!“
“My daughter and I decided to try this restaurant since there was a wait at the famous The Sink across the street and we were pleasantly surprised. I have never left a review for food before but it was so amazing here, I had to post. I had the lobster eggs Benedict . Best I’ve ever had, even beating out restaurants in Maine. The decor is eclectic- Alice and wonderland. The tea was amazing. Be sure to visit this restaurant on the hill after your university visit! Amazing.“
“Bitter Bar is a local favorite. The drinks are inspired and made by legit mixologists with a passion for the constantly changing diverse world of spirits. The Cabin Fever, I Think Olive You and Hadi's Hibiscus are 3 cocktails that standout in my memory as outstanding. I always learn something when I come here. The ambiance is cool.. dark room with cool light installations, great taste in decor. Definitely check this place out! Keim is the bartender in the photograph, drink his concoctions!“
“I am over the moon! Finally!!! An incredible Mexican restaurant in Boulder. Being born and raised in Mexico, I often crave and miss the artisan, masterpieces that is the authentic taste of Mexico, and Masa y Agave hit it out of the ballpark. Their moles are exquisite, their masas are PERFECT. And their homemade ice cream is probably the best treat I've had in ages. Everything is seasoned just right. I am so impressed and so grateful to have cuisine like this in Boulder.“
“We came here for a birthday breakfast due to the hostess saying there were many vegan options. However, the “plant power” section is exclusively vegetarian, not vegan. Luckily, our server Nicole was phenomenal and had personal knowledge for what could be made vegan. We had a tofu scramble with avocado, mushrooms, and peppers. We also had the tacos with a lot removed and avocado and soyrizo added. Finally, we had the vegan pancakes (already vegan on the menu, not in the plant power section). We all enjoyed the dishes, especially the pancakes (including the non-vegans).I might come back for food, but I do wish they would have clearly labeled vegan options here. It’s Boulder, it’s 2024, so having more than one option that is clear and doesn’t require a lot of customization and guesswork to make vegan would be awesome. Beyond that, the service and environment were exceptional.Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian menu and there are great vegan pancakes. Overall, not the easiest place to eat vegan. I’d recommend asking for Nicole’s advice if you need help eating vegan here.“
“Avanti is the perfect place or bring a large group of friends. All restaurants in Avanti surround a common dining area, which allows for everyone to get their favorite food without hassle.Main floor seating areas inside are crowded during busier hours, but outdoor and rooftop seating is also popular.Something worth noting for high schoolers in the area is that Avanti is not admitting students during the school day. (As of about a month ago.)“
“Andy at Bartaco in Boulder is fantastic! As an out-of-towner here with my friends, we were impressed by his exceptional service. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations. Andy’s attentiveness and upbeat attitude added to our dining experience, making it memorable. He truly made us feel welcome in Boulder.“
“This restaurant is slightly special in that it serves small dishes during happy hours, like an Italian dim sum place. The grilled green peppers were spicy enough, which I really like as an appetizer. The seafood stir fried rice was also satisfying. If you are looking for somewhere away from downtown, this would be an ideal place.“
“We dined here tonight, and every single bite was delicious. Our server Allison was helpful and fast. What a gem! We ordered: chips and salsa (each of the three salsas were delicious), fried broccoli, carrots and jicama, wild fries, tacos, tostada, and the chile relleno. I'm a major relleno fan, and this was one of the best I've ever had. The textures and tastes were just delightful. I couldn't drum up a single complaint. As others have noted, the flour tortillas were fantastic.“
“I don’t even know where to start, every single dish was absolutely delicious, we started with papas bravas in the most amazing brava sauce ever, then some anchovies with bread and olive oil, main dishes were American Wagyu Denver and salmon with lemon butter and a side of Broccolini. You definitely want to leave some room for dessert, try the cheese cake with berries, super creamy, fluffy and flavorful.Excellent service, everyone was friendly and helpful. This should be at the top in your Boulder list.“
“I came here to watch a basketball game. Best TVs that I've seen in Boulder. Service was stellar. Drinks good and had a slider which was great. Perfect place to watch a game. I think the prior poor reviews were when it first opened cuz it's not that way now.“
“This is my kind of spot. Stalls around the permanent bar change occasionally for food options. I went to the Chinese stall and got beef with broccoli. It was very tasty and ready in less than 10 minutes. Then, take your food and beverage to the rooftop and enjoy the great view of Boulder.“
“Pretty tasty food, but a bit expensive for what it is. Nice and lively atmosphere, but it does feel a bit genetic, as it is a small, local chain. The margaritas were nothing special, but the nachos were incredible and a bit different than those you might find at other Mexican restaurants.“
“Super disappointed, ordered take out, “Coctel de Cameron” and it did not have the first ingredient it has written on the menu: avocado. On top of that, the “coctel de camaron” is further inauthentic by the added sugar —it’s really sweet! It the way the serve them in Mexico t(-.-t) smh for more authentic, go elsewhere.“
“This place is unique and fun! Our server was really personable and accommodating. We came for happy hour drinks and some snacks, everything was great and everyone was happy. She was a good sport about me asking why the toilet is especially high off the ground and we all got a laugh out of it.“
