“This restaurant is nothing short of wonderful in every way. The menu is everything you would expect of a James Beard Award winning and Michelin Star rated restaurant. The service is impeccable. The little touches are present throughout the evening. The wine pairings take the food to the next level. And the digestiv cart is really something to behold.

Absolutely a gem in Boulder, Colorado. Bobby Stuckey is a master of the craft and it shows in the way he takes care of his guests. That same hospitality has flowed down throughout his entire team to make you feel pampered and yet still right at home.

Finally made it and glad we made reservations as it was packed since it was peak time Friday evening. Spoke with Koji-san, the owner, while we were waiting for our table and he also stopped by each table to check on them which we thought was great. We had the takoyaki, kaisen-mix okonomiyaki and the spicy miso ramen. All came within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious! Koji-san explained the background of offering takoyaki, which was so interesting and great for him to share. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items, esp their sushi, which looked delicious! Great to see a business busy and doing well!“

“Great food and service! It was easy, delicious, fast, and pretty good sized portions. I loved everything I tried which was the summer roll, the Banh Mi sandwich and the Lemongrass Tofu Pho. The brownie was great too as well as the Fruit Smoothie! I added my favorite spices to the Pho which made it phenomenal! Love the fresh veggies and noodles in the Pho. The sauce on the Banh Mi was so good! This will be my go-to place whenever I'm in Boulder. Can't wait to go back and try more items! Their selection of beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and food blew me away. There is something here for everyone.

The inside has not one, but two bars and feels like the kind of place you can just talk to people around you and bond over the variety of drinks offered.

I love the fact that they have a little gift shop, with a massive selection of their beers in multiple tiers.

“My drink was really good. The coffee was strong and fresh. My colleague purchased the tea, which is brewed to order. They were a bit busy in the morning but that is expected. However, they did move pretty quickly. The staff wasn’t the friendliest, but I would return for the coffee when in town.“

We ordered a number of entrees, then passed them around using the lazy susan in the middle of the table. All SO tasty! Especially the green beans and veggie dumplings. Extra rice was brought on request. Not exactly inexpensive, but we had gone to celebrate a birthday and left satisfied and happy. Staff very friendly and helpful. The folks that work there were SO WONDERFUL, and it was wild busy but they were all over it. Ari and Ben were the bartenders and were so kind and helpful! “The real reason to visit Alpine Modern Café in Boulder is the food. I drove all the way from Denver just to eat there, which should tell you everything you need to know. The breakfast bacon croissant was excellent—fresh, full of flavor, and completely unforgettable. It’s the kind of dish you think about later in the day and start planning your return visit around.

The coffee was also very good—exactly what you want from a café—and the space has a relaxed, welcoming feel. The café is in a great location and easy to get to from anywhere in Boulder, which is helpful since resisting a second visit would be nearly impossible. Parking can be a little limited, and you may have to park down the road… but consider it a warm-up walk for the croissant. It’s worth it.

I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a great coffee experience, with a side of “why didn’t I come here sooner?”“
