“Iconic. Amazing. Beautiful. These are from the reviews of others, and I'd echo these terms and many more, with regard to this incredible wonder. I've long wanted to drive to the top and we did so on a recent visit. It was early November on an uncharacteristically warm day with beautiful clear skies as we began our ascent, and the weather stayed perfect the whole time, getting colder as we ascended of course. The drive itself starts out very mildly in terms of grade, and frankly, excitement, but it definitely saves the best stuff for later. Once you get into the seriously twisty and steep bits, the trees start to part and reveal the spectacular views as you get higher and higher. Our rented Toyota 4 Runner was more than capable, and got us up and down with aplomb. We were initially excited as we reached the summit, until we got out of the car and headed to the visitor center. It was at that point that my wife and I both realized we had a bit of altitude sickness, in the form of dizziness, light headedness and she even had a smidge of nausea. We were surprised and how, well, almost terrible we felt. We grabbed a couple of quick pics and began our descent, and we began to feel better soon thereafter. So, be prepared for the possibility. As we came back down, we stayed in first gear on the 4 Runner much of the way, and at the mandatory brake check, the checker commented that our brakes were under 100 degrees and that we were doing a great job. The view was even better on the way down. If you're ever in this area, this is a must-do and must-see. It is everything that everyone says, totally awesome.“

“My husband and I love Wines of Colorado and we always bring out of town guests here. The food, atmosphere and service today were excellent. Erica gave exceptional service being out by the creek. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the prices have gone way up. I was going to call instead of leave a review, but when I saw the owners rude comment to another reviewer about it being more than Mc Donald’s, I realized they don’t care how the customer feels about the escalated prices. I get the real estate aspect but for lunch, $18 for a quarter of a wedge and French onion soup is outrageous. I’ve have been in the food and beverage business over 20 years, neither are expensive to make. $18 is extortion and the server never told us there would be additional price up charge, which at that price would be nice to know before hand. Also a small side of fries is $4 and it’s small. I agree that not everyone can enjoy dining here unless you have a good amount of money and it’s just so sad because this really is a special place but I guess most places are pricing out middle to lower income people and only want to cater to the elites. Please reference pictures *Sod(soup of the day)Soup & salad combo $18Rueben and Sod $16French dip and Sod $17Again how was a soup and salad this much when the other two were less- do better!!!“

“We ordered the pot roast sandwiches and they were amazing!!! We ordered to go but will definitely be going back in person. And their little side salad with feta and sweet potato was so yummy! I’m not sure what the sauce was but it seemed like it was made in house. Absolutely amazing!“
“We love the ice cream at the Trading Post. We stop in every time we're at Garden of the God's. We stayed at the Glen Eyrie castle that's only a mile away. We had breakfast before going riding around the park, it was very good. I always pick up a piece of jewelry in the gift shop. Great getaway weekend.“

“Slice420 has the freshest ingredients. It's our favorite pizza in Colorado Springs. We love the owners. They do so much for the community.Wheelchair accessibility: My 7 year old son is wheelchair bound. I often have to change his diaper in the back of my van (rain or shine), because he is too big for diaper changing stations. Slice420 on Oro Blanco has a diaper changer that can be used for little ones up to adults.“

“Fantastic sandwiches! Pastrami sandwich was a home run and the Doc Martin was an insanely delicious vegetarian sandwich option. I will be back... A lot!Vegetarian options: The only reason I marked somewhat instead of highly is because the vegetarian options were limited - but the Doc Martin was incredibly delightful.“

“The door we entered was at the bar area that’s separated from the dining room. Didn’t really mean to, but glad we did. It was a homey feel. Cool little Knick knacks from ages ago displayed up on a shelf. The Bloody Mary was better than the one I had the night before at Wines of Colorado, much better. Thanks. We’ll be back ?“

“By far, it is the best vegan restaurant I have ever visited. Dog friendly place if you are willing to eat on the patio. Amanda was very attentive and knew the ins and outs of the diverse menu. The Italian white bean soup was creamy and seasoned perfectly. I ate an ½ order of nachos...Sasquatchos... very delicious. Nice prices... where a full order was $15, and a ½ order was $7.50. First time I have seen true ½ order prices. All beers are in cans. While the Petrus Red was labeled a beer, it was more of a wine cooler in taste and texture. One issue I had concerns the 5% equity fee listed on a yellow card in the menu. While you can opt out by speaking up, it really should be the responsibility of the employer to pay a wage or salary. This addition 'tax' should not be a diners decision and may force many to accept the 'tax' through guilt. This practice also disguises the menu prices as lower than there really are. The $15 nachos is really $15.75.“
“Love the vibes. Both kids and dog friendly. There can be a lot of kids running around outside. They have 17 beers on tap, at least they did at the time we were there, not sure if they plus or minus on different days. They have one seltzer on tap and a variety of other beers. The El Mango was so good if you like a sweeter beer.Outside in the connexs they have different food options that you can select for. There’s a lot of seating, can get busy but still a good time.“

“My boyfriend and I are visiting Colorado from New Jersey and we were looking for a home cookin’ type of place for breakfast. Uncle Sam’s did not disappoint. Between the locals and tourists passing through, the atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Jess, our server, was wonderful and sweet. Biscuits and gravy were the best I’ve ever had, pancakes were fluffy and delicious and came with this amazing cinnamon butter on the side, and the corn beef hash is a must try! Uncle Sam’s exceeded our expectations and we will be back!“

“We were having a beer next door and they made it so easy to order from! I had the not so gringo pie and it was perfect. The fries were delicious as a side. Trying to find a reason to make it over to that side of town to try more off the menu!“

“Food was fantastic. We hiked the incline and wanted some coffee and good breakfast sandwich. We got both. The staff was fantastic! They are super friendly and on top of things. We stepped away for 5min from our table to get a pastry after our sandwich and came back to our table being cleaned off lol. They do free refills so it was all good. But I appreciated that they were cleaning up behind patrons. There is so much to look at here! Lots of plants make the place feel calming.“
“Nice chill tap room connected to a bike store. They serve a lot of Cerberus (which is next door) on draft which is great. Lots of indoor bike parking near the entrance. We went Monday evening and there were a few seats at the bar and a few tables (good for being the day after St Patrick’s). Bartender was nice and friendly, drinks were very good! I had the Scottish ale and would highly recommend. So glad to have these places in the neighborhood!“

“The drinks are good, the staff is nice and courteous. But let's be real, the prices are high because it's the only coffee shop that the tourists can easily see. The local "high society" customers roll through with their pinkies in the air too.I much rather spend the extra money than patronize a business that hates the military and made us pay for water during 9-11, I was there! So support your local private owned.Vegetarian options: There's no meat grazers, its a coffee shop.Dietary restrictions: Cheat day approved.Parking: Its a drive through, not a hang out spot.Kid-friendliness: Kids eat muffins and like to drink.Wheelchair accessibility: Just stay in your vehicle and you can still roll up.“
“This place is less busy than the main brewery and it’s hidden gem. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was nice and empty. I’m sure the owners are not too happy that it’s empty but for us craft lovers, it was bliss compared to the hectic Saturday nights that everybody’s used to. I hope they keep this location open for a good minute and I hope it doesn’t become overcrowded once it becomes discovered.“

“Long wait for dead space. Server acted inconvenienced by our presence. Multi tasked between trash removal and making drinks (with his hands) had to ask the only other person there for drinks because our server disappeared. Cold food was served and we were treated coldly asking to be reheated. over priced and such a waste since the town is so cute.“

“Service was great and so were the little items around the store to peruse while you wait. My family is from New Orleans and have had beignets from there more times than I count so I was hesitant to try these. I shouldn’t have been! These are the best I’ve had outside of New Orleans. Made me want to take a trip back there since it’s been a couple years. Would gladly bring family here. Tried the chocolate dipping sauce to change it up a bit and not sure I’d get again but it was good!“

“Nice spot in Woodland Park! They have good coffee and spend a little extra to not use the run of the mill beans on both the espresso and the drip. They use an air pot for the drip that you can get your own refills. Staff is friendly and plenty of parking. They have house made desserts. The sandwiches are around $15 but they are a good value. They have plenty of meat, condiments and seasonings. The spicy italian is delicious.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsParking: Plenty of parking“

“Update: After hearing back from the owners, I realize that they are new to the business (less than 1 month) and are still learning the ropes, so to speak. I do believe in extending grace in situations like this, so I bumped the original score to 4 stars instead of 3 with the belief that the speed of service will improve over time.Original post: After reading several reviews, we decided to try this custard place.I parked near the park, so we had a 5 minute walk there. Since it is paid parking, I went to the one of the parking machines and saw you can get 30 minutes of free parking, which I selected, figuring we’d have plenty of time. When we arrived, the line was long, maybe 10-12 people. I soon realized that this line wasn’t really moving. After standing there for 20 minutes, I left my family in line, walked back to the car, drove around looking for a closer spot and got back to my family. There were still people in front of them. When we got to the window, I realized why. There was one person both taking the orders and making each item. Another person was cleaning and doing other things around the kitchen area. That person did help a little bit with our order. So how was the custard? It was good, but it didn’t stand out to me as anything special. We ordered two Turtle Splits and one custom Avalanche with cookie dough. As I said, everything was good. I’ll also add that it was a very fair price. (Note: The menu prices are cash prices; there is a small fee to use credit card.)Seating options were limited around the side of the building. When we were ready to leave, we tried to find a trash can. They didn’t have one that we could find, so we put everything in one of the public trash cans nearby. So would I recommend this place? If you like custard and don’t mind a long wait, absolutely. If there’s no wait, then definitely give it a try!“

“Is it me or did this place switch owners? Seems like people are getting trained every time I come in. It appears they are using home versus commercial expresso makers? Though it does appear a new machine arrived but perhaps it just isn’t working yet? Just seems a bit off from the normal for me.“

“Such a delicious visit!! So recommend!!We came in and the lady at the waitstand quoted us 20 mins then the owner walked up and recommended sitting at the bar for immediate seating and we sat at the little table in the bar area. Such a cute place and love everything about the atmosphere! We did wait quite a while but it was well worth the wait everything was so delicious! We ordered the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends to start and they are perfectly crispy but the inside melts in your mouth soooo yummy! Then The Sloppy Pig with Red Beans and Rice as well as The Front Range Burger with crispy Onion Straws. All so delicious and will definitely order The Sloppy Pig everytime I go!!! The Red Beans and Rice are spicy even know the menu did not state though but sooo good! We will definitely be returning and trying more on the menu as well next time. “THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER BUYING PIZZA! I ordered one pizza for delivery. The delivery driver was late, parked out front smoking in his car for minutes before bringing my pizza. We called back and they threatened to call the police for harassment and hung up on us.“
