“The new owners in the past year are doing an amazing job. Some nights they’ve become so popular that they are having a little trouble keeping up but they will break their back to make it up to you. So far the food is very delicious and is my favorite in Evergreen. It’s just too bad they have the same name as a restaurant in Florida that keeps coming up on my web search. I wish they would change their name so everyone knows the difference. ?”

“Blackbird Cafe – A Kittredge Gem If you are looking for a reliable spot in the canyon, Blackbird Cafe in Kittredge is easily one of the best. They are consistently great, which is why you’ll almost always find the place buzzing with energy. The location is fantastic—it’s situated right next to Bear Creek, providing a cool, relaxing atmosphere that really captures the mountain vibe. As for the food, it’s excellent across the board. The breakfast scrambles are a highlight, topped with fresh sauces and served with perfectly crispy hash brown medallions. Their smothered burritos are another must-try, loaded with melted cheese and served with fresh sides. Beyond the plate, the staff is always wonderful, making you feel welcome even when they are slammed. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a staple for a reason. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Found this place due to not being able to access another place. It was everything that I love in a locally owned and operated coffee shop. Great menu that is simple with a twist from the normal. Music not overpowering making it easy for me to work. Great view and ambiance. Excellent Service and personable people that treat you well even if they don't know you. I highly suggest them if you are in the area. A true gem to remember for any future trips through the area.”

“I've been to a lot of bakeries, and this place is easily one of my favorites. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and feels like the kind of place where everyone is genuinely happy to see you walk through the door. The staff is always friendly, patient, and helpful, even when they're busy. The food is absolutely incredible. The brownies deserve special recognition because I had no idea they were gluten-free until someone told me afterward. If nobody had mentioned it, I never would have guessed—they were rich, fudgy, and honestly some of the best brownies I've ever had. The pretzel crack lives up to its name and should probably come with a warning label because it's impossible to stop eating. The cinnamon rolls are hands-down the best on the boardwalk, and I've yet to find another bakery that comes close. And don't even get me started on the ice cream—it pairs perfectly with everything else they make. What really sets this place apart is the overall experience. Great food is one thing, but combining it with a friendly atmosphere, outstanding customer service, and a genuine community feel is what keeps people coming back. Whether you're grabbing a quick treat or bringing friends and family, this bakery is the kind of local gem that deserves all the support it gets. Highly recommend. Five stars without hesitation.”

“Just got festival, fried plantain and j*** chicken from Ricky. Was so excited to meet a fellow Jamaican out in Falcon and the food did not disappoint. easily the best festival I have had in YEARS, it was So crispy and the flavour was spot on, same for j*** chicken, the smokey flavour was great. The plantain was delicious and the twists Ricky puts on his food with his salsa and pumpkin rice were great too. I am so excited to have this again next time I'm in the area!! ??????”

“ordered lunch for employees very big order with a big variety. the food was delicious and packed very well. everyone was friendly. my only negative comment is that when you walk in it would be nice if we were acknowledged. there were multiple people walking up and just kinda standing there for a while. saw a guy sitting on his a laptop looked like am owner and literally never looked up. the only other thing is that while dont mind grabbing sauces etc but i think utensils and napkins should be a given and not having to ask for those things. i wouldnt have known they werent included except the person in front of me looked in their bag”

“I first experienced five years food at their location on Highway 74. Just passed Safeway.. the restaurant had an authentic feel to it, and the food did not disappoint. The people were very friendly., and my smothered burrito was superb. I loved the green chili. We ran into them again behind the Evergreen athletic club. They have a truck which serves the same yummy food.. I think we’ve tried just about everything on the menu, and couldn’t be happier with these homemade, authentic Mexican, recipes. I highly recommend that you give them a try. They are very nice people. I know you’ll love the experience as we have.”

“Chi town stop is delicious!! Not only is the food fire but the owners are wonderful people. So kind and you can tell how much love and care they put into their food. First time I’ve ever had an Italian beef was from them and it is SO good! They also understand gluten free and allergy needs, so it’s a great place for anyone to eat! Highly recommend”

Not only are they incredible bakers but extraordinary people to know. They care for everyone and you can truly feel that love once you take a bite. Can never go wrong with a glazed or old fashion. My favorite are the Danish and turnovers. Thank you Rob and Becky for bringing smiles to the community!”

“FINALLY an awesome breakfast place in evergreen that's good, affordable food! I'm an evergreen native, and my mom and I just had breakfast here the other day and it was FANTASTIC!!! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, from the hostess to the waitresses. Service was great! Food took a tiny bit longer than expected, but we understand they have just opened and it takes time to build your team. But the wait was worth it! Food was excellent!!! We will definitely be back!”

“I almost don't want to give this the five plus Stars it deserves because it's going to get so busy that I'll never get a table. But this place is a hidden gem to those of us that don't live in Evergreen. We drove up from Littleton. We ordered the drunken noodle tofu and the basil tofu and both were incredibly delicious. We ordered medium for the heat level and could easily have gone medium plus or maybe even hot. So don't be afraid to add a little temperature to your meal.
Service was very fast and the food comes out piping hot from the kitchen when it's ready. I'm guessing there were about a dozen tables and they had a steady takeout business. I love finding a surprise family owned restaurant. No doubt we will drive back up just to go here.”

“We usually eat at Locals about once or twice a week because, quite honestly, the food is incredibly good. Service is also. This past Sunday we had a small gathering at our house and decided to have Evergreen Local cater the event. We had the Baked Ziti, one with meatballs and one just cheese, garlic bread, antipasto salad and for dessert we served the cannoli. Everything was so delicious and everyone enjoyed the food. Not only did they make the meal, it was delivered also so we had time for our friends. Next time you have a party and want real Italian food like my late Sicilian mother made, go to Evergreen Locals Pizza. It's so much more than that!”

“This place is fantastic! If you're looking for delicious, authentic Chinese food then you've found the place to go! The hot and sour soup is delicious, kind of on the sweeter side but add some hot oil and it'll be perfect! The egg rolls are delicious, especially with the sweet & sour sauce and hot mustard combo! Crab Rangoons were delicious too, perfectly crispy and full of filling and flavor! The chicken is good quality and the teriyaki beef is tender and some of the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had! For everything it was ~$62 for 2 of us, so the prices aren't bad either. Definitely check this place out if you're in Evergreen, CO!”
